When you're small integrating is best because you can literally double or more the size of your levies in just a few years, later on integration is still useful for large cultures especially if they need to be religiously converted as well. You can integrate, do religious conversions, and then remove the integration later.
Never assimilate until you finish the army traditions of the culture. So first integrate->unlock the army traditions-> remove rights and then assimilate. Going Magna Grecia is OP as you can stack Greek and Roman Heavy Infantry traditions and you will be rolling Space Marines in no time.
Can we get a continuation of this campaign? Sicly has been a favourite of mine in just about any game that has them, and where else is the best place to start a naval empire?
Just closed Imperator after destroying Punic colonies in Africa and they hit me with a 2.0.5 Beta. Consul... A second Patch has hit the Severian walls...
You should do a Cappadocia playthrough, one of the most unique mission trees in Invictus. There are 5 totally different paths through the mission tree, resulting in a totally different outcome at the other end. You can stay an Antigonid subject and usurp them, become a new Diadochi under the Eumenids, become a Persian successor state and reform the Achemenid Empire, become a native Anatolian state, or even reform a Cimmerian empire
@rabidfurify hey bud, that's a good shout. I have been thinking about a run in that region, but wasn't sure who to play. Cimmeria sounds fun. Already did Galatia a while back and just did a Persian run a month ago.
I think the mod devs (or actual devs, can't remember) put him in the game to thank him for the attention he brought to the game with the imperator days he organised
Hey, Laith (and other people reading this). I've never played Imperator Rome, but been thinking about getting it recently. Would you recommend getting to know vanilla first or jumping straight into Invictus?
LAITH! It’s great to see you keep plugging away with the best game Paradox gave up on. Any change we can have another Imperator day? The last couple you did were awesome, see if you can make it bigger and better than the last! 👌
9:39, why is it when I cast my gaze to the right of that little text box i see none other than laith just sitting in Carthage? It's just unnerving at this point
20:00 Instead of fighting them you could actually chip at their strenght by enticing their governor of Manga Graecia, while you expand elsewhere with your fleet.
The thing about Sicily in almost all Paradox games is you can keep on stackwiping any AI army that walks into your island. You can defeat Rome very easily if you do it over and over again.
If anyones looking for a new and intresting nation to check out Id recommend sardinia, they get a cool tree with invictus that allows you to recreate the sea people and wreck havoc on the great powers of the Mediterranean
*gasp* An Imperator Rome gameplay by Laith where people arnt starving? I think he got replaced guys, no way he just did this. Jokes aside, money in Paradox games is extremely broken anyways since you can just spam mercenaries everywhere and not lose any manpower. Meanwhile your enemy has no troops and manpower left and gets steamrolled by everyone. Fun times. Now an unfunny joke: "What do you have there Archimedes?" "A cannon that will shoot you to Hades, and by the gods I will do this to you little shrimp!" "ARCHIMEDES NO-"
one day Laith will do a Imperator playthrough were he dosn't integrate others culture but converts and assimilates them...
It is the way

@@rabidfurify sure, but min-maxing isn't as fun as roleplaying and few cultures or states at this point would have done anything of the sort
@@gawkthimm6030true however assimilation takes FOREVER. One of the very few things I do not like about Imperator Rome

Imperator has so much potential. The way you turned the outcome of the last war exemplifies it splendidly.
The map setup with major rivers and tons of unpassable mountains everywhere makes it much more fun to play around with troop movements than in EU
@@rabidfurify ^^^

Seconded!
YES, I've been waiting for so long for someone to touch Syracuse in Imperator.
Laith making us think he abandoned imperator rome to come back splendidly !
The last time I was this early, Imperator Rome was still alive.
Just closed Imperator after destroying Punic colonies in Africa and they hit me with a 2.0.5 Beta.

Hey, Laith (and other people reading this). I've never played Imperator Rome, but been thinking about getting it recently. Would you recommend getting to know vanilla first or jumping straight into Invictus?
Straight into Invictus
straight into invictus
I tried both. Invictus is the imperator that should have been, straight up. Go for that
Looks like the Senate has spoken. Thanks, guys!
Never played this game aswell, is invictus a mod?
Wish there was the "Rome doesn't accept peace" feature to get the full Hannibal experience

Greek Sicilian gameplay
fully expected the war with Rome to be a defeat, was fun to watch it turn around like that!
