I’m pretty sure there is a manual swap for every car it’s just about are you willing to pay for that amount of work and for probably the months your car will be out of service.
You guys could make a fortune if you put together a parts list, template cut set, and produce some of the custom parts for a manual swap kit for the Q60/Q50’s. I’m on the fence between a Q50 and a IS 350. So if I get the Q50 I’ll DEFINITELY be interested.

I’m doing the swap myself right now So far I have it runing and driving I have a few more kinks to work out but I got the limp mode off and it’s been decent so far If your interested in the kit I have pieced together let me know it’s basically bolt on so far
ABC Garage it sounds horrible, Infiniti are selling them because late in the g37, to q60 they sat on dealer lots. You stupid manual lovers complain “oh save the manuals, but don’t buy them.” The truth is manual sit on lots . Also the q60 transmission is designed to be smooth, not fast. It has nothing to do with INFINITI to be cheap. You guys forget not everyone is trying to be merc or Alfa Romeo. Infiniti has a goal of what they want their cars to be a certain customer and they obtain it I think. The only problem I see if they are not updating and coming out with cars soon enough.
You done did it. It's beautiful, I have a 14' Q60s with the manual transmission. The only thing I'd really miss in the new redsport is my stickshift. I have hope now

Honestly, I hope Nissan/Infiniti seriously contemplates putting a manual in the car after seeing this video! Just looking at the fit and finish, your team has already put the effort in developing and testing the new transmission, so I think this would be viable for them to just take your design and mass produce it. Unfrontunately, the $10,000 dollar question is, would be buy it if they made it?
Now to find a way to tell the ECM to get it off of limp mode and start building boost because this is just majestic and the fact of how a lot of things look factory is amazing
I have the 7 speed. I feel like it could shift faster than it does from the factory. I've noticed that it shifts faster if you're heavy on throttle and shift at say 4k rpm vs it shifting on it's own at redline. Not not sure why it does that. But it's very noticeable.

I did a 6 speed swap on my g37 sedan, so a 3.7 q50 shouldnt be much different. And seeing how nissan does things, it should be exactly the same for a vr sedan. Once more people do it, the kinks will get worked out and it should get cheaper to do. Fingers crossed.

This car is drop dead gorgeous... what slave does the MT euro spec use? Flywheel and trigger plate? Cant those work on this swap? Im just curious to what slave was used.
This is still with the stock ECU (mostly)! Really the engine management system on these cars is just years ahead of any standalone on the market, so stock + EcuTek is going to be the way to go. We had to make some tweaks to the tune to make the ECU happy and allow the car to run and drive, but other than that, it's only moderately tuned to run a little more boost.
@@NickLetsom that's really interesting to hear about the ECU. This means the platform really didn't get the respect it deserves. I've heard the shifts are the weak point on high HP. I was referencing this car against "the new Supra", which in really not a fan of. Any thought of developing modified stock turbos?
