In the last story I would have involved a lawyer when he drilled holes in the chimney that could eventually cause a lot of damage. Water freezing inside that hole will definitely damage the brick

Last story just needs to bite the bullet and get a survey done, get some security cameras and document any harassment

I have to agree, also get a certified chimney sweep to inspect the chimney for damage. Extra holes into a chimney can be a hazard, either increasing a fire hazard or smoke back into the house.

Gate Story: OP needs to document all the Neighbour's Harassment and Threats and then report him to the Police and call a Lawyer to Sue and file for a Restraining Order (No Contact & Stay Off My Property) against Neighbour...

Yeah, No. Rip the fence down and sue him for the damage to your house.

Wants "half" of everything story: Agreed. If she wasn't specific enough, that's her problem.
Auto parts story: Hey boss, you might want to be certain you're chewing out the right person. And hiring people that actually do the work.

About the last story, and all other stories alike, it’s not by buying the peace you’re gonna have peace. It’s more by showing you can keep your ground that you demonstrate how determined you are to fight for what is legally yours.

First story sounded like my ex... My lawyer even called it the case of the bean-pot... Half the meat in the freezer.. which I paid one hundred percent for... half the towels.. and definitely half of the money but she wasn't paying any on the bills she accumulated... somehow she managed to put my name on them even though she was the one who got them. This was at a time when all the judges considered the women angels and all men were pieces of crap and that the children were always best in the mother's care... even though she was a horrible mother... That's a long story in itself.

There was a time when women and children were regarded as being literally the property of their parents or, after the woman was married, her husband. (Nowadays, in the USA in particular, children are pretty much in the same situation despite lots of lip service being given to so-called "child protection," but that's another story). Women could not take out loans without having a male family member to guarantee the loan. In effect, the loan was actually to the husband even if it was for the benefit of the wife. Some parts of the legal system are still mired in that past. If the wife did anything, such as take out loans fraudulently, the husband was still regarded as being legally responsible for the wife's actions.
It's stupid, but that's the way it was.

The "weight of a clipboard", i recall in about 1966, when people were suddenly getting the new Color tvs, in time for the Football World Cup (which England won, the only time we have), there was a man who appeared in our local Co-op store, he wore a brown stores coat and carried a clipboard. He stated to a young man who hadn't been employed long, that he was there to collect tvs to deliver to customers who had paid. He helped old brown coat out to the carpark, helped him load up about a dozen tvs and disappeared, never to be seen again. Because he looked official, it was presumed he was, we just laughed.

Story one sounds like my friends uncle, as my friend put it was the nicest man but his aunt would give delorus umbridge a run for her money, when it came to divorce proceedings she wanted specific items and that my friends uncle wasn’t to go near the house, but my uncle had a feeling in his gut and asked my friend and his sister to go over and look through the items she wanted suitcases, containers and several boxes
My friend told me that him and his sister found things that she wasn’t supposed to have, copies of his documents from bank statements to title deeds, the two suit cases were full of antique jewelry that belong to great grandma that he had put in his safe, she packed in their sons ps2 and all his games, my friend called his uncle and told him what they found, so he told them to go into his office and look in the closet, the wall was open and when they told him he was pissed because that means she was combing thought the whole house, then he told my friend to go into the attic and open his grandpas ww trunks and to fit everything she hid into those trunks and try and put everything they moved back into the boxes and suit cases the only one they couldn’t hide was the sons ps2
Fast forward to her suitcases and boxes being placed at her new apartment and she calls and anticipating this call he puts it on speaker shrinking that how dare he go through her things and that what she had in them was hers , he basically went on and egged her on until she spilled the beans about taking important papers and jewelry, and then the judge piped up saying that their aid
never saw her packing anything like that into the suitcases & boxes
And she promptly hung up the phone, the judge left the house to call in the aid , when the phone rang again it was his sons school where his mother was heard screaming to get her son now! The judge who overheard told the school aid to not let the mother take the son, to make it shorter,
She never had a apartment she was at the pawn shop and going through the suitcases she was there with her affair partner her plan was to pawn off a few pieces to get a hotel room and then wait until that Saturday when they they were all going to flee the country, her affair partner broke and spilled out the whole plan was to sell off the son and all the info to various people in Mexico and then move to the other side of the world to start their new lives together

#1 I never have to worry abt, I’ve never nor will I ever be married, was never interested in it (I’m straight btw). Sure, I’ve missed a lot of good things in life, but I’ve also missed a lot of headaches & heartaches. Besides, all the money I have coming in goes straight to me & my dogs. A dog will love a human unconditionally if treated right & mine are spoiled.

Agreed. The cash worker has no ability to make a change. They should be taught that the next step is to ask for help from manager on that day.

Story One- The EX was busy and handed the list to his assistance to pack up his EX stuff she wanted from the house. She did an excellent job reading the list to the T what she wanted from the divorce. It wasn’t clear she wanted the nicer stuff to what’s was inside the pantry countainers. She got half of the household stuff.

Love the fence story. Have a neighbour who took 6-12” pie shape area at the property edge (old surveys weren’t 90 degree corners here) I spoke with her about it. No go. OK. Hope she enjoys the back side of my planters that are now there covering her garden and three south facing windows. Petty AF, you bet. I feel great.

The divorce story made me laugh because my husband’s ex (divorced seven years before I met him) took as he put it, “half of everything unless she really liked the set in which case she took the whole set.” He and I stayed married 31 years before I lost him to cancer. Still miss him. And after 31 years I completely understood why she left. 😂🤣😂 But I’m still glad I got him.

Fence vs dog story: Wanna be petty? We can be petty too and it will cost you more than it cost us. But good grief, 4cm is barely more than 1.5 inches.
Free giveaway story: Just give me what I want, not what you want to give me. Nope, doesn't work that way.
Gate story: Well, you came up with a solution, but I'm willing to bet you gave away some property you shouldn't have.
