@@kessilrun6754 I still maintain my opinion, that overall Andromeda was not a bad game, but after original trilogy, it was big adjustment and it simply was not worthy of the name Mass Effect name.
If the title was not Mass Effect, the opinions about it would be very different.
@@HanithSVK Well said! It certainly would have stood out as maybe a different title. There were little things I didn't like, like the powers didn't have the same hard hitting sounds the originals had. Warp, for instance, sounded lackluster and there was no reason to change the sounds of these effects. Little things like that.
For me it is Mass Erect
I think the mass relay under construction will be a super relay to connect the Milky Way to the Andromeda Galaxy.
That would require a 400 year time skip, because it took them 400 years to get there I believe. The events of mass effect 3 can be found in snippets throughout the game, and if I recall the pathfinder (OG) spoke with the milky way (though the transmissions took time) and if I recall that's how we found out how long it took.
To further add to my theory, if the relay in the milkyway was completed for mass effect 4, than we would have seen those peoples lineage in Andromeda centuries before the ARKS ever arrived, which would effectively RETCON mass effect Andromeda completely, making it as though it never happened, which is fine by me. 😅

Mass Effect is my favorite gaming series of all time. Fucking epic series. I remember beating ME 1 and 2 back in high school and how grandiose it felt. I’m a 31 year old man now and I still get chills hearing the reaper horn.
I'm the same age and you're not wrong bro. I loved them all but originally held off on 3 for bad reviews BUT after finally playing with the remaster, damn bro, I honestly believe 3 got it a bit too hard, what they pulled off with the trilogy is nothing short of a masterpiece and one of the BEST choices and consequence type games ever made.
In my opinion Bioware should've been working on the next Mass Effect before Dragon Age.
I mean Dragon age has it's fanbase but Mass Effect is a little bit more popular and the Legendary edition showed that.
Dreadwolf has been in production for like nine years. Plus, I believe at that point they were working on Andromeda. So the DA game has been a LONG time coming and it's 100% sensible for it to come out first. As a DA fan myself we've been living off of crumbs the size of dust and I can't wait for Dreadwolf!
After seeing this comment and trailer of new dragon age, i realize Glad they save ME 4 For the last Because The new dragon age feels like a flop, They could learn from their mistake if the new dragon age will be ever flop and hope on ME4 they decide to make it better or Meh flop still at all.
No its not a lot of people got legendary as first time players. ME turned away from being an rpg and turned into a shooter. Sorry I'm much much more looking forward to DA than any ME game that will most likely just be a full shooter.

The last dragon age was in 2014. The last mass effect was in 2017, and they messed it up. And then they released the ME Legendary edition in 2021, meaning there have been two mass effect releases within the last 7 years, while people have been waiting for anything at all on the front of Dragon Age for 10 years.
I’m so worried about BioWare’s continued existence with how unstable the industry is now…
I think we all are. All we can do is cheer the Mass Effect team on & hope for the best (and perhaps let EA know how much we want to see this game became a reality, no matter how it turns out)

Im not. this a great opportunity. Its not working, the sh!t games, the forced agendas, the lectures. It's not holding up to reality. Encouragement? HA! no. Now is the time to remind them that we have no problem seeing Bioware get added to the grave yard. So no more Andromeda's no more Anthem's no more "Butt Cam" lectures, or else they can go trouble shoot corn riddled PCs for the Geek Squad at Best Buy.
They will definitely exist. It's now a matter of image for EA, although "another Single Player studio" might seem to make less sense for such colossus.
What's more important BioWare to keep and preserve all the awesome talented people that joined or came back.
@@madkabalbro what the fuck are talking about. anthem wasn’t even bad hate bandwagons is what destroyed the game. there’s even been polls on the amount of ppl who hated on the game never played it and only watched a video of one guys opinion. ppl were actively trying to destroy anthem by even blowing vapor into there consoles and recording claiming it broke them. yes they game launched fucking horribly. but look at cyberpunk 75k active players on steam last i checked. and for single player games that’s INSANE anthem had incredible potential and out of all the other gaming company’s i don’t really see how bioware is pushing an agenda not nearly as strong as ubisoft or respawn even bethesda has done more to push an agenda than bioware you’re fuckin out of your mind.

We won't really know more until after Dragon Age: Dreadwolf releases. If it performs poorly I can see EA pulling the plug on Bioware.
Here is hoping BioWare doesn’t face the same fate as many other studios that got taken over by EA

If there's one IP they've never really gone wrong with (not drastically anyway), it's Dragon Age. So here's hoping 🙏
@@ThorAxeleon Nope, development on SWTOR passed from BioWare to Broadsword Online Games in 2023, tho EA is still the publisher. So, if shit hits the fan, BioWare is screwed.
Next game will be a simulator where you destroy as many batarian home worlds as possible. Not because it’s necessary but because Shepard is in it for the love of the game
Commander, I have been in cryostasis for 50000 years and I was still early in comparison to the news we have about the Next Cycle. I'm worried about the Empire, Commander. Will it ever be rebuilt? Or was it thrown out of the airlock?

Until Dreadwolf comes out and is or isn't successful, there's hardly any point in even thinking about ME4. If Dreadwolf bombs, Bioware is toast.
My thoughts exactly. Given the current state of video games, it's even more critical for Dreadwolf to be a smashing success. And quite honestly, I just don't know if current day Bioware has that in them.
I'd hate to see either franchise go away, but I'm going to go into it pessimistic so that anything better is a pleasant surprise.
The worst part is for the next few years EVERYTHING in the genre of games Dreadwolf plays in is going to be compared to Baldur's Gate 3. It doesn't just have to be good. It has to be so good every reviewer isn't saying, "Maybe get around to that Dark Urge play through you've been meaning to do of BG3 instead". So Bioware is heading straight into a no win situation. It's going to be the first high profile high budget game of it's type after an actual decade defining game.
@@halycon404 I don't think I agree. That sounds like a talking point developers are saying will happen to excuse the crap they're making. Gamers aren't stupid, they know the difference between CoD and Bioshock even though they're both FPS's. Dragon Age is a well established IP by now, DW only needs to live up to its own name.
@@mihmo2663 That's the thing. There are no "Gamers". Hasn't been for over a decade. Gamer is a marketing term more than anything else now days. There's gamers who've never played a Trip A game. A FPS. A RPG. A Strategy Game. Everyone plays what they like, but no one plays any one thing. There aren't any universally loved touchstones anymore. BG3 was that. BG3 sold more than all Dragon Age games combined. It's one of those oh so rare generational games. Everyone played it. Every type of "gamer" played it. Anyone who reviews it that isn't a traditional western RPG player is going to compare it to BG3, that's their only point of contact with the genre. To all of those people, every single last one of them, Dreadwolf is going to be found wanting. The developers already admitted as much when they were on the "No one should expect BG3 from games" train. Everyone saw that. Everyone remembers that, even if that isn't exactly what they said. Hype as much as you want. Hope as much as you want. But I remember all this from before. All the "Just play Halo." "Just play WoW." "Just play Zelda" "Just play Mario". Any time two games or several games come out within a year or two of a game which takes over on the scale BG3 did it's always what's said. "Just play X instead".
That's probably why it's taking so long. They're nervous and scared it's going to flop. So they wanna put every bit of time they can so it'll be perfect.

There's nothing wrong with still maintaining popular franchises. There are still plenty of studios creating original ip's too. There's room for both.

@@mistermelancholy7698 Yep... I wish Drew Karpyshyn had stayed working on ME2 and 3 instead of being pulled from development of 2 part way to make SWTOR. People seem to like 2 and 3 more but I like the story less. It changed when he went away. Went to the action comic style of Mac Walters instead, which I didn't care for.

I feel like with the small bits of info and teases they've done so far, we already know more about the next Mass Effect than we do about DA4.
I loved all the games trilogy and Andromeda, i Hope they ll give an explanation and more lore about meridian and the remants, they are still a fascinating mistery, and it would be cool if somehow the stories are all connected, a sort of connecting point between reapers and remnants or something, something deep as i would expect from a mass effect game
Mass Effect 5 would be so cool if we learn that the Jardaan traveled to the Milky Way and Liara starts teamming with them, and having somekind of communication between both galaxies+Setting Andromeda 2 (Or at least a continuation of the Kett after that cliffhanger that there's a bigger threat than the Archon)

Not buying it from the gaming developers that the game isnt going to deal with Commander Shepard. You cannot do a Mass Effect game without Shepard, let alone with the Normandy crew
Well this confirms that the destroy ending is canon. Not that there was any doubt. Though I'm willing to bet the story will revolve around a new character who is working with Liara and perhaps some of the old crew to find Shepard. I can see a cameo for whomever you romanced. Personally I'd like to see a happy ending for my Shep lol.

Just thinking though, if there's an Angaran, then that surely means that Shepard can't be in the game, as the milky way species didn't even discover Angara until about 600 years later than ME3 events.....? Unless of course the Angarans sent their own "Pathfinders" to the Milky Way years before 🤷♂️

There are theories that say that the Destroy ending and Liara romance will have to be canonized for this uocoming game.
I disagree. The Mass Effect series was excellent at changing based upon a player's decisions across the games. I think they simply used Liara to simply mean "Your romance choice is looking for Shepard". That Reaper may have been destroyed in open combat with the united fleets, not necessarily from firing the Crucible.
I don't think any of the choices will need to be canonized.
If commander Shepard isn’t back then I don’t want it, and if he doesn’t come back then I want EVERYONE else that’s still alive to be back, I don’t want another andromeda
I hope things go well and BioWare delivers a great Dragon Age game which is rumored to be out this year them making a great game will be a sign that they have finally come back to the quality we expect from them

Hey I know I'm late and its probably meaningless but I found something..
I just retrieved the N7 helmet on Alchera and the garment with the N7 logo of the helmets sprite is missing.
All Liara picks up in the teaser is the garment with the N7 logo. Maybe "intentional." as Gamble said, likely looking too much into it
based off of the image with the SFX ship it seems like we gonna have a Krogan companion again but whom? the armor looks red-ish Brown, could be an older Wrex, but who knows, idk

The size of the SFX craft makes defining it as a large shuttle more likely imho. That craft is 20-30m long, Normandy was 200.

Someone has probably thought this before, but i think the geth made a mass relay that links the 2 galaxies and in the 600 years between me3 and mea it closed because the scourge. The geth did after all make some hocus pocus telescope that could see Andromeda in more "real time". And that might mean that the remnants might be a milky way thing created by geth or maybe even the leviathans. Idk, I'm spitballing and i haven't read deep into any lore at all.
Think ab this the yagi was species that was left to their own devices bc they killed the first response team but that hints at other spiece like them so we might see whole new spieces in the next game
I'm actually concerned about them using unreal engine because recently there was a controversy around the people who own unreal engine trying to use their engine to force specific real world politics into games EVEN when the game developers don't want those politics there because they simply CAN'T fit in the universe...
It maybe a great game engine but if this isn't walked back BioWare will be forced to switch game engines again if they want their game to succeed which will be a massive delay for the next Mass effect game

Biggest thing about this game is that the endings of the trilogy seemingly don't work. If the geth exist and the reapers are dead, then none of the endings match. It would instead have to be destroy but with only reapers dying, unless it was somehow a pocket of geth that survived by being out of reach.
I am a huge fan of Mass Effect, even the Andromeda version. I am confused by the clip released last N7 day where the person is walking with a soft beautifully styled but casual N7 coat but has a helmet on?????? Was it just to hide the face? Curious.
With that kind of outfit I wont be surprised if the next mass effect is called:

I'm curious about that mysterious N7 figure. Slender build, either female or androgynous. Featureless helmet, almost Quarian inspired. Liara looking for N7 armor and communicating with a Geth. I'm thinking the Mysterious N7 figure is perhaps Shepard or at least his/her consciousness inside the body of a custom Geth unit. We know Shepard connected to a Geth Hub to save the Geth and Quarians from the Reapers. We also know that the Geth were interested in Shepard, Legion going so far as to use his/her old armor to patch a hole. Finally, one of the endings to the trilogy allows Shepard to sacrifice him/herself in order for organic and synthetic beings to fuse and achieve a perfect symbiosis. Shepard's consciousness may have survived and found its way into a synthetic unit.
So yeah, this is what enters my mind as I see the picture of the Geth shaped crater and think of Legion and how even he didn't know why he chose Shepard's armor specifically to do repairs with.
If connections between Milky Way and the Andromeda galaxies are going to be featured strongly in the narrative, and all these theories about time travel or dark energy being an existential threat prove to be somewhat true, then we might see the new Mass Effect game continue ME1's style of giving the Reapers a Lovecraftian vibe and truly delve quite deeply into cosmic horror territory,
I can't wait to see how it ties in with Andromeda, I absolutely loved it 😊😊😊

I think the mystery figure looks like Aria T'Loak. The walk, the sass, the suit. My money is on her.
Imagine if Next Mass Effect will feature port save from the og trilogy where it's possible for Liara to be dead at the end of me3. Or it will be impossible to port save dead Liara just like with it happens with dead Shepard in me2.
P.S. if event in andromeda are gonna be somewhat impactfull for next game, imagine if we can port saves from og trilogy and andromeda at the same time

Cerberus building a new relay that will connect to the Andromeda galaxy?
Judging by the very little bits of the world I can guess that we most likely haven't taken a monumental jump in time the world still looks like the one after 3 but repaired. I can see this being a generation or two after Mass Effect 3. Humanity must have bounced back seeing as the N7 program is alive.
If I had to guess will be dealing with a world post reaper attack. Perhaps despite everyone working together to face the reaper threat conflicts are boiling over who gets to claim what perhaps see the reapers bodies and tech as valuable essentially making another alien faction similar to Cerberus wanting their race to be the dominant rule over this new Milky Way galaxy

Theory: What if after the Reaper war, researching newfound Reaper tech, the Milky Way races developed a way to travel between galaxies faster than what the Andromeda Initiative is currently doing. Seeing as they are building a mass relay, that could be possible. So what if they simply swooped past the initiative arks and nexus and landed in Andromeda centuries in advance. Using the Reaper tech knowledge, they started terraforming planets to make them more habitable...becoming what the initiative knows as Remnants.
Since they are there centuries ahead of the initiative, someone among them was bound to play god and created a new race, the Angara. Probably someone else didn't like that idea, conflicts arised and the Scourge happened, since that too is of Remnant technology. Similarly to being cut off from each other like the Protheans during their harvest cycle, they quietly died out or all offed each other. Or terraformed the planets hostile, as we can see in ME:A.

This is my expectation of correcting the atmosphere in Andromeda and entering Méridien. Galaxies will be moved and combined and Shepherd will be revived and played with two characters.

It’s not as easy as it looks to make games where the story depends on your choices especially when there are events that can result in the deaths of various major characters

Ever since I played ME3 back in 2012 I've felt that BioWarre really destroyed any chance they had of moving forward with this franchise in a natural way. Having multiple endings with wildly different implications mean that there really isn't a canon ending they can build on. Also, since all of the endings were very unsatisfactory (or outright bad) it doesn't create a huge interest in returning to this world despite ME being some of the best games I've ever played. The Milky Way (or some aspect of it) is more or less trashed no matter what ending you picked (well, maybe not the ending were Sheperd becomes the guardian of the reapers). It could have worked if ME3 really was the end, the final chapter of Mass Effect forever, but it doesn't work if you want to make a sequel. ME: Andromeda tried but failed. That game had to retcon so many things to make it work and moving the story to the Andromeda galaxy instead of the Milky Way didn't really feel like it served a significant story purpose. It was just a way for BioWare to get away from the MIlky Way since they knew the ending of ME3 had destroyed any chance of moving the story forward there. I might be wrong and ME4 might be awesome but Casey Hudson and Mac Walters sure hasn't made it easy to create a story that can pick up seamlessly where ME3 left off.
