Isn't there a joke about people who buy police cars?
The only time they get to ride in the front?
      Haha.
Park them around the yard like the cops pull in, on the flowers and grass, and put flashing lights on the roof. That would get the neighbors going.

Say what you like about people and the world we live in, but you have to concede, that not only is Scott and the Agents a decent bunch of guys, but their show draws in some good people as evidenced by the ongoing generosity of viewers, this week Jim being a prime example. I suggest the quality of the supporters from the quality of the content 👍👍

*time change! - ok, still 3am*
    *JIM COLES!*
Scott, did you find out if Mr. Coles was still with us and sent that AMAZING crate full of goodies
or perhaps a descendent or some such?
That was incredible, not to mention lots of fodder for future show features.
    Makes one mindful that you've got the makings of quite the "hands-on museum" at this point;
between your own knowledge/expertise/library and things like what JC sent you, a fella could
set up a reference library and museum for future generations to benefit/refer to!
Re: The marathon LIVE thing last weekend:
I don't know how many have mentioned it, but your willingness to give up so much of your time
on both YT and later on Patreon to field our endless mindless questions and comments was
    something to witness for sure.
Good on ya man, very humbling to witness.
I'm still so VERY happy you listened to our incessant harassing to open a Patreon account.
I just *knew* that stuff would work somehow, but I have to admit, the numbers of participants
have surpassed what I'd thought would happen and I couldn't be happier for you (and yes,
    therefore for US!).
Here's to many more years of all of the CWM family going forward!

I don't just like old Caprice's, i love them. Even though i'm Dutch, they were a part of my youth.
My dad was a part-time cab-driver in our hometown Delfzijl, and the local taxi-company had all sorts of cars. Ofcourse (because Europe) a bunch of Mercedes 200D W123 and W124, 5 Volvo 740 Turbo Diesels (1 manual transmission, that thing was quick!), 1 Citroën CX Break 25 TRD Turbo 2 and a small fleet of Caprice Classics, the oldest from the late 70's i believe and the youngest was post-'86 with the "Euro" headlights. I was around 10 years old back then, and my favourites were the Chev's. Closely followed by the Volvo's and the CX. I liked the Mercedes's as well, but the Chev's were my big friends.
My dad got pullud over ones, for speeding. "But i was doing 50, officer!" The officer looked at the gauge and said: "Those are miles per hour, sir, not kilometer an hour..." Yes, we got gauges in MPH instead of KM/H.
My dad knew that, but it did work that one time and he got away with it, lol.

What a mail call...do you think Jim sent enough stuff?😁
    Rover bodywork: top notch.
9C1: I personally never got pulled over by 1, but it's still a cool machine.
Then there's the Man, the Myth, the Legend - Dean of Dean's Greasy Flips with a trip down television's memory lane with a "Hawaii 5-0" special. Nice! And the tshirt doesn't look bad either!

I’m constantly amazed what you guys get sent in the post, but that big green box was a treasure trove! Something for everyone! It kinda restores your faith in mankind.

Wow!!! The old issues of Car Craft that came in the huge box of stuff is gaining in value since Car Craft Magazine was discontinued by the parent company Motor Trend Group. The issue from 1955 is really a nice gift from one of your
subscriber/fan, and valuable as well. The issue of Honk was quickly changed by Robert Peterson to the name Car Craft shortly after they started to publish the magazine.

#ColdWarMotors on air! 📺▶️ And Dean is back! Time for the usual Saturday beer, plus some tinkering with a broken flexible string, in my H-body’s automatic radio antenna. In other words - my own, private version of the “Light Buzz” segment here 😉 Cheers!

1980 Caprice Classic was my first car. As of yesterday my 63 Belair escaped the dreaded snowbank and the old 230 fired right off. Love watching and await the weekly episode. Loved the greasy flips😂😂😂

Great episode. Respect Caprice and fast and know all about their cars twin brothers I have 1991 Caprice, poor condition and it's an ugly model. Now we have a snowstorm here in Finland. I look forward to driving a 1966 Mercedes. Its pretty rough too. And on summer tires Maybe next week? Dean is indeed my hero. Thanks everybody.

Man that ashtray brings back some bad memories. I used to smoke until it was so full you couldn't butt a cigarette in it cuz you couldn't find the bottom of the ash pile. It finally helped make me quit.

In the 1990s, I had a 77 Caprice (same body style) that I repainted white because we had it at the shop. Then I put dog dish caps on it and the blue vinyl cop seats (they were free) because the interior was trashed.
I hated the fact that people would slow down when I was behind them. It was funny for a week but then it was just frustrating.

An unmarked state trooper unit. With that spotlight, it has the air of authority. They came with steel wheels and dog dish caps. Now you need a radar unit to hang out of a side window.
Those 350's were bulletproof motors. When those 4 barrel secondaries open up, it sounds wonderful. Great car!

I used to have a '92 Crown Vic police car and it was fun. Had the interceptor engine in it. Cars would pull out to pass me, see the spotlight and duck back behind me again, LOL! Pulled into an Uncle's driveway in Tennessee with it once and one of his sketchy friends went running out his back door and through the cornfield behind his house! I laughed my ass off at that.

A friend had the Mercury version of that car, dog dish hubcaps and all, obvious plain clothes cop car. I told him to don shades, sit alongside the road and stick a hair dryer out the window at approaching traffic.

Hey Scott, Kudos to JC, those treasures went to a good home, those magazines are priceless. That Caprice is sadly the last true passenger car Chevrolet built. Rear wheel drive, they were bulletproof. Tell your friend not to worry about the 700 R, a most coveted transmission for modern day OD conversions. I had to do a double take on the new salesman at Deans lot, I could have sworn Cal Worthington was dead....

I have both the 1966 and the 1967 Glenn's manuals and actually looked at one of them this afternoon. They are great resources! I worked in libraries for 34 years, I recognised that microfiche viewer the moment you popped open the box. What an amazing treasure trove!

  • @jimmyrogers2731

A local parts house I worked at in 90-91 mixed DuPont paint and we had a microfiche machines like that for paint formulas. I left there and went to work at a Dodge dealership in Charlotte NC and we had one there also with hundreds of parts diagrams for older cars. What an awesome mail call.
