Can you cook a TURKEY in an AIR FRYER?

  • Yes! You absolutely can cook a whole turkey in an air fryer. You can air fry your Thanksgiving turkey using very little oil.
How long does it take to air fry an 11pound turkey? My turkey was about 11 and a 1/2 pounds and it was done in less than 2 hours!
Season your turkey well. I used my seasoned salt blend sweetsavant.com/seasoned-salt/
Refrigerate your seasoned turkey for 2 to 3 days to let the seasoning soak in.
Preheat your air fryer to 375 degrees or use the chicken setting if you7 have the Ninja Foodi Smart 10 in 1 air fryer oven.
Pat the turkey dry and spray with oil. Canola oil, vegetable oil, or grapeseed oil all work well. Avoid butter or olive oil because they can produce a lot of smoke in your kitchen.
Use the temperature probe to cook the turkey to 165 degrees internally. About 1 hour and 45 minutes to 2 hours if you are not using a temperature probe. You should check the internal temperature with an instant read thermometer.
Let the turkey rest for 10 minutes before carving.
I used the Ninja Foodi 10-in-1 Smart XL Air Fry Oven. I used the CHICKEN setting which alerts you when your bird has reached 165⁰ Fahrenheit.

I am so glad you are doing a review on this air fryer. I am in search for a new air fryer. I cleaned my instant Vortex Pro and I used cleaning products which is incorrect. I have been looking and researching for the past two days and I keep coming back to the Ninja Foodi. It’s pricey but now I see it’s worth the cost.

Thank you so much for such a wonderful video and that is the ninja oven I wanted but I can't seem to find that model anywhere! I drove from Arizona to Virginia going on I-40. I like you. You're a gem in your full explanation of this. We bought an oven with all oven features as well as the air fryer feature and it has been MAGNIFICENT. Steaks, chicken parts, fish have come out tender, flavorful and crisp. All that's left are the larger cuts of meats: lamb shoulder, turkey, full prime rib roast, full rack of ribs etc. I. CAN'T. WAIT!!!
    Thanks for your presentation.

Sorry I'm late to the party but here goes. In October I suffered a heart attack. 4 stents later, 4 days in CICU, I came out with a different attitude. Think turkey breast. I got 1 that feeds 4. I marinated for 4 hours only in low sodium soy sauce & my NON salt spices. Breast side down, 1st. 20 minutes at 400. Flip it over & 20 minutes rib side down. It was amazing. My guest said the skin was crispy, flavorful and the bird was moist.

Is Air frying the same as convection?

    • @sweetsavant
      @sweetsavant  Год назад

"Both air fryers and convection ovens circulate hot air around your food, but the air inside an air fryer circulates faster because it is a smaller appliance with a smaller cooking area in which to circulate the air."

That part wasn't covered probably because the video/description clearly tells you/the viewer what this video entails.
This isn't a "how to season a turkey" video, it's a air fryer video.
She showed what air fryer, the size of her turkey, temperatures, etc etc everything about the air fryer was covered.
If you were looking for how to season a turkey, you shouldve went to a "how to season a turkey" video.
