- Yes! You absolutely can cook a whole turkey in an air fryer. You can air fry your Thanksgiving turkey using very little oil.
How long does it take to air fry an 11pound turkey? My turkey was about 11 and a 1/2 pounds and it was done in less than 2 hours!
Season your turkey well. I used my seasoned salt blend sweetsavant.com/seasoned-salt/
Refrigerate your seasoned turkey for 2 to 3 days to let the seasoning soak in.
Preheat your air fryer to 375 degrees or use the chicken setting if you7 have the Ninja Foodi Smart 10 in 1 air fryer oven.
Pat the turkey dry and spray with oil. Canola oil, vegetable oil, or grapeseed oil all work well. Avoid butter or olive oil because they can produce a lot of smoke in your kitchen.
Use the temperature probe to cook the turkey to 165 degrees internally. About 1 hour and 45 minutes to 2 hours if you are not using a temperature probe. You should check the internal temperature with an instant read thermometer.
Let the turkey rest for 10 minutes before carving.
I used the Ninja Foodi 10-in-1 Smart XL Air Fry Oven. I used the CHICKEN setting which alerts you when your bird has reached 165⁰ Fahrenheit.

Although I have another brand.. I followed your recipe/ technique last year. My turkey was delicious! I’m going to “fry” two more 9lbs turkeys this week for Thanksgiving. Thanks!
Now, that looks like an awesome turkey. I have ordered my Ninja Foodi 10 in 1 (thanks to your review), and I will be cooking my prime rib and turkey in it this year. Can hardly wait.
I just got my ninja foodi XL air oven model DT201 LP3 today. This review really really help! Thanks for sharing😘✌🏽
I am so glad you are enjoying your oven!
Hey Sweetsavant, what a beautiful turkey. It’s perfect!!! Super duper juicy!!! Thank you for showing us that it can be done in an air fryer. Your nails are bomb!!!
What a great way to cook a turkey, I can't wait to try it, I do not have the Ninja unfortunately I have another brand, but willing to try it any way.
I am so glad you are doing a review on this air fryer. I am in search for a new air fryer. I cleaned my instant Vortex Pro and I used cleaning products which is incorrect. I have been looking and researching for the past two days and I keep coming back to the Ninja Foodi. It’s pricey but now I see it’s worth the cost.
Hi Ayanna. I'm so glad you found the review helpful. So far the Ninja Foodi XL PRO air fryer Oven has worked well for me. It is VERY large though but it's good if you need something that can double as a back up oven. Thanks for watching!
I bought this oven after watching your video. thanks girl!
Looks delicious!
I cannot tell you how much I have missed watching your Channel. Moving from Arizona to Virginia has been a nightmare but I have had a little bit of RUclips occasionally and I keep searching for you even though I am subscribed Plus you are in my favorites. Thank you so much for such a wonderful video and that is the ninja oven I wanted but I can't seem to find that model anywhere! I drove from Arizona to Virginia going on I-40. Past every Walmart, Sam's Club + Costco and could never find that Oven! I'm just happy to see your smiling face again! And I will find that oven someday soon... LOL
Wow! I need to get a bigger air fryer! That looks so good.
What a great idea!!!
I saw this pass thanksgiving but now I have to make another turkey lol looks amazing keep up the good work cause girl you teaching me so much lol
I like you. You're a gem in your full explanation of this. We bought an oven with all oven features as well as the air fryer feature and it has been MAGNIFICENT. Steaks, chicken parts, fish have come out tender, flavorful and crisp. All that's left are the larger cuts of meats: lamb shoulder, turkey, full prime rib roast, full rack of ribs etc. I. CAN'T. WAIT!!!
Thanks for your presentation.
Hi Ray, I'm so glad you enjoyed the video. Thank you so much for watching

ANYTIME sis. ANYTIME!!!
Sorry I'm late to the party but here goes. In October I suffered a heart attack. 4 stents later, 4 days in CICU, I came out with a different attitude. Think turkey breast. I got 1 that feeds 4. I marinated for 4 hours only in low sodium soy sauce & my NON salt spices. Breast side down, 1st. 20 minutes at 400. Flip it over & 20 minutes rib side down. It was amazing. My guest said the skin was crispy, flavorful and the bird was moist.
Great vid!
Hello I just purchased a new Frigidaire oven with a built in air fryer. What would you recommend?
Love this! What brine did you use to season the turkey? 😊
@9:33...as Marlo Stanfield would say, "That's one of those good problems" lol
YES SIR! Thanks for watching!
Didn’t think I’d see a wire reference in a turkey cooking tutorial video
I need a bigger air fryer. I have a small one. I know your turkey will be splendid!
I used your recipe last year. I have a different air fryer, but I was able to air fry a 20 lb turkey PERFECTLY!! Being from the south, a fried turkey is essential.. thank you so much for giving your audience a healthier option. Will be doing this again this year 😊
*God bless
For 20 pounds, how long did you cook it for and at what temp?
@@MrSilksoulI believe 350° for just over 1 1/2 hours. Usually about 8-10 min per pound. If you have a thermometer it helps to watch your temp. But hands down the best turkey I've ever had 💯
@@mrsritellThank you.
Yes I did and it was Bomb and yes it was brined!!!😋😋
My mouth is watering
Yes to the "Turkey Cracklin"! Looks great!
You know what I'm talking about! Thanks for watching, my friend ♥️
My oven like this arrives on Tues..Will be my first airfryer!
That turkey came out so nice and juicy!Do you get good juice in pan for gravy?
@sweetsavant. Do you think it can cook and fit a 13-16 pounds Turkey? I’m thinking about putting the Turkey from Popeyes. Thank you and great video.
Ma'am you are truly a blessing, I'm so glad I kept browsing for recipes for the air fryer oven and I must say I'm so impressed with your turkey couldn't be more pleased. I have that oven but no probe. How long do I cook the bird and on what temp ? Thanks !! And I love your demos..
Hi Pamela! Cook a 12 pound turkey at 375⁰ . Check it for doneness at about 1 hour and 45 minutes.
@@sweetsavant thank you !! Will try !!
How long did you leave it for
Would if it works the same way with individual pieces?
I have an Air fryer built into my oven. How long did this 11 pound turkey take?
I Have a air fryer built into my oven, will that still work?
Hello I have a question this yr I wanna cook a small turkey in my air fryer but I want that chicken taste can I use flour. Tell me what should I do. I have the power XL Grill combo one 5 quart give me directions
Hi Linda! I've never tried to cook a turkey with flour in an air fryer. I'll do some testing and see what I come up with.
I think using cut turkey parts would be best for this.
Thanks for watching
@@sweetsavant ok so some research for me
ASMR moment @ 5:15 lol

I want to make an 11lb turkey but not sure!!! Cause turkey takes at least 3hrs and I'm really regretting on getting this oven 🙃
@K. S. just got a turkey and can't wait haha hope you enjoy yours! Have a Happy Thanksgiving
Any difference if I use a air fryer range?
Hi Steve. I haven't tried this with an air fryer range. I can't say how it would perform. Thank you for watching
Will peanut oil work?
Yes, refined peanut oil will work. Thanks for watching
Is Air frying the same as convection?
"Both air fryers and convection ovens circulate hot air around your food, but the air inside an air fryer circulates faster because it is a smaller appliance with a smaller cooking area in which to circulate the air."

Thanks for watching!
Love your nails
I know she didn’t say it was marinating in the fridge for 30 days. My ears must be off 😫
She said three days
I heard 3 I think you need hearing aids Ngl my opinion
🤣😂
Yes she did! No way 30 days? Not good
She reiterates 3 days near the end of the video… “thr-ee days”
Why doesn't she say what she "seasoned" it with?? This is a very incomplete video.
That part wasn't covered probably because the video/description clearly tells you/the viewer what this video entails.
This isn't a "how to season a turkey" video, it's a air fryer video.
She showed what air fryer, the size of her turkey, temperatures, etc etc everything about the air fryer was covered.
If you were looking for how to season a turkey, you shouldve went to a "how to season a turkey" video.
