Well it's due to our Frightmares time, frightmares is when the park hits it's peak, in october. I'm proud to say though we do our best during this time. I work in the games department so it's a homerun for us. Hope you come in 2021 and I get to catch you when I'm working airtime thrills. 👍

I always get the response that they "have a condition"; I reply with yes you do, it's called stupidity!🙄
Masks don't work . You put ur hands to ur face to fix the mask all the time ( they tell u that's a no no ) when u take it off and back on germs are getting trapped in it so ur breathing in viruses also when it gets damp the virus sticks to it there was a study put into this and it's been proven that masks are useless !!!
@@_-Tripster2011-_ the point of masks is protecting you from viruses coming from others and to protect others from germs coming from you. Specifically from your mouth and nose.
Masks do work but they don't protect you from all germs as they're not meant to.
Please wear a mask and social distance if you can. Thank you.

Absolutely loved your video as someone who has a season pass I have only been three times this year, I have been there on days when the lines are spilling out onto the midways like you showed in your video (in passed years of course) I certainly don't think Lagoon's owners were prepared for a pandemic when they decided to have the lines spill out onto the midway, and to see that you waited an hour for Cannibal tells me they could use some room for improvement great video once again!!!

I think Shawn at TPW will approve of your lunch choice of Chicken Tenders and Fries lol. On a serious note, it seems to me that as well as poor management of queue lines, they are letting far too many people into the park. I live close to Thorpe Park and I felt the same when they first opened after restrictions. However they have since decreased capacity and it has been better as well as closing queue lines when it is overfilled.
I have never been to lagoon and love watching your footage of the parks I have not been too. You are amazing at getting those amazing shots.
I had a similar experience at Knoebels two weeks ago. In line for impulse, it spilled way out of the line, so I got footage while I was at it. However they were running ONE TRAIN on a low capacity ride, and the way they had to do distancing on the rides made it so there were sometimes 3 or 4 people in a train. 20 minutes later, an employee came out and said, “from the entrance it’s a 2 and a half hour wait,” so where I was the line would have likely taken almost 4 hours. No thanks lol

Lots of not from Utah Mormon theme park enthusiasts it's seem. Guess it makes sense. Gotta get your kicks/thrills from something when you live in "Happy Valley" xD. I'd need constant shots of adrenaline if I had to live in Provo too.

A lot of Californians like me are going to Utah and Lagoon cause California theme parks won't open anytime soon.

It is so frustrating to see parks like this not enforcing better crowd control plans and thus the public acts in a way that makes it seem as of Covid is gone, not enjoyable nor safe. Hoping they take heed of your observations and fix this, we are heading into an even more difficult phase soon. Be safe and enjoy yourself!
Alton Towers are closing the queues so that they do not spill out, and they have clear social distancing markers. They reopen at random times, and will not open the queues if people are standing waiting for it to open.

Lagoon needs to not let people in the park if their line capacity can’t hold them. I used to work there and this really peeves me. I’m going to call and try to talk to Julie cause this is straight up not safe.
An hour for Cannibal doesn’t sound that bad, once I waited 4 1/2 hours for Millennium Force

yeah, I live in Jacksonville and I've been to busch/seaworld, disney, and universal during the pandemic.
Disney is a trainwreck now. I avoided weekends by default anyway, but I went on a wednesday to magic kingdom 3 weeks ago and the lines were insane. I think 35 mintues was the shortest wait and it was insanely crowded. I had already nixed hollywood studios. I'm going to Animal Kingdom soon, so hopefully those lines aren't terrible. The crowds there always felt manageable so far.
Epcot is spacious and I pretty much go there just with food reservations, so w/e.
Universal is boned on weekends, but otherwise relatively good, except for some narrow paths in IOA.
Seaworld and Busch literally never had good operations the whole time I was there so I didn't renew. Lines were crazy and no mask enforcement really at all.
Overall, yeah, COVID nightmare, even at well managed parks. Not sure what utah's deal is, but "50% capacity" is a joke. Epcot's stated capacity is like 90k people or something insane that they never get to anyway.

who even cares anymore masks don't even work and the science is not even there. Even people being mega careful are in a 41-71% chance they'll still get it anyway and the weaker the masks like cloth or basic 20 for a $1 are doing nothing. It's a waste of everyone's time. It'd be better to enforce social distancing then make people have to not breathe wearing a stupid political propaganda mask.
@@oneandonlysound3453 interesting because what I heard is it's easy for smaller atoms such as oxygen to actually get through masks yes, but the virus itself which is much larger than oxygen atoms, actually has a much harder time even if the mask is thin like the standard medical mask nurses where. I'm sure however then if what you claim is based on science, you can provide some scientific studies/papers on the topic then? Or are you the one just trying to spread political propaganda here?

SO WEIRD how I was watching content on Lagoon (was my first home park) earlier wondering if you or TPR had any recent footage on the park in pandemic and I now realize you uploaded this when I finished watching old content and took a nap earlier lmao
We went to six flags NJ a few weeks ago. It was the only big park we could visit from MA without needing to get a test and/or quarantine before coming home. It. Was. Packed. Good thing we got there early. We got two rides on Nitro, one on El Toro, and two on kingda ka. We decided to leave the rest to a later visit, hopefully next year...
Congratulations on your upcoming graduation! I'm very happy for you and your accomplishments! My hubby and I love Utah, we went to Utah three years ago for the first time in early January 2018 and we have visited a few times since, a road trip to Utah and Wyoming, and to see Zion national park, we plan on going again next February during my husband's birthday and then driving to Colorado! At my age, grew up in the 80s! I still love a fun roller coaster! I grew up near Knott's Berry Farm and Disneyland, and went to Six Flags Magic Mountain and went on every ride. It's been a couple of years that I've been to an amusement park. Working, then I fought breast cancer, and I won! Just a busy life right now but I need a Disneyland fix but I heard they're closed still here in California. My hubby isn't into going on roller coasters, bummer! Lol...the other rides he'll go on with me. But I'm waiting to have my niece's visit us here with our family so I can take them to Disneyland, they live in Oklahoma and they love D-land! I would love to visit this amusement park, Lagoon, next time we go to Utah, we saw it when we stayed one night in Farmington, it looks like a fun place! Thank you for sharing! 😁
Diamondback at kings island line is always unbearable for me I could never wait in one of these lines😭

what they have been doing at Alton Towers and Thorpe Park is closing the que once it gets to the start of the proper one, no spilling out then into the walkways

I will say for the most part my visit at kings island was pleasant when it came to masks and social distancing. The only thing is the lines are longer because the coasters are every other row closed. So it almost makes the lines less social distanced by doing it to the coasters. But the day I went when it wasn't too busy it was done well.
The narrow queues and midways at Lagoon just aren't meant for social distancing. To get social distancing at a place like Lagoon, they'd have to limit attendance in a way where it's not profitable.
Congrats Taylor on your last year of college. I see where you’re coming from when you talk about lines spilling out onto the queue. Iby and I just experienced the same exact thing at Knoebels when we went this past Saturday.

Hoping to get out to Lagoon before the season ends but only if there is a fast lane option. Once you go fast, you never go back! These lines spilling into the midway is a joke. Never seen anything like it, especially with the switchbacks blocked off.

Great call out about the lines spilling out onto the Midway. I thought it was nuts last year but after visiting a few parks this year I don't see this as a good option for the current environment.
What do you expect Lagoon to do. People will do as they want to, and Lagoon can do whatever they please as a private company.

Watching as a european I'm, let's say, very suprised. No social disancing, what seems like regular park capacity, full trains, mostly without people wearing masks.
Not to comment on you specifically, but the American (lack of) measures/enforcement is just very interesting, how big the difference can be. And I live in the Netherlands were the measures are generally loose.

cause we want our freedom, masks don't work it's political propaganda, but they do need to work on social distancing better, I mean at least not congest everyone I mean even in normal times if it can be avoided it should be done. I wouldn't want to be in a congested mess during cold days of six flags holiday at the park, but I would like to not be wearing a stupid mask when states are getting free of it.

Lagoon's biggest problem is a lot of wasted space and kind of messy/dirty looking areas. Some of the park areas looks terribly trashy.
I too, grew up on the east coast, and went to Utah for school (BYU lol). Take it from me-enjoy Pizza Pie Cafe, and In-and-out while you can!

11:59 I work in rides here. We do that because in theory it’s to help with social distancing. You’re still close to each other so it’s really hard to stay 6 feet away, but in practice, it just doesn’t work. We were really understaffed the day you were there. But we’re correcting this issue this year, at least I think so. Don’t quote me.

what is classified as an enthusiast? Because I only have 35 credits but I love roller coasters and figure out as much as I can about all of them no matter which continent or park. Just wanted to know because I classify myself as an enthusiast but I don't know if I am really classified since I'm 13 and can barely go to amusement parks. I also classify my home parks lucky since I live in Ohio so I have kings island and cedar point. I have also gone to Carowinds for only a few hours so I could ride vortex (regret), fury325, intimidator, etc.

Hey man even if you have no credits. If coasters fascinate you and you’re passionate about them, you’re an enthusiast in my book
If you have a passion for coasters, than you're an enthusiast no matter your cred count or age
To me an enthusiast has a common knowledge about coasters that are above GP standards, has ridden at least a few coasters and has traveled to at least two or three parks
There are no rules! If you like roller coasters and show enthusiasm for them, then there's no reason you can't call yourself an enthusiast. Credits mean nothing - they just reflect how able you are to travel around, not how passionate you are.
Coaster count doesn't decide if you're an enthusiast, It's just whether or not you yourself think you're an enthusiast. I'd also say that knowing some fast facts doesn't hurt.
I've actually experienced similar phone issues at Great America later in the season for fright fest. Between how busy fright fest gets and the crowds of pre Christmas shopping at gurnee mills I've had a lot of issues with 4G. Perhaps 5G will help this one day soon.
Impulse at Knoebels got lights on the new trains but I didn’t get to ride this past weekend which was really sad because the line was constantly insane, but it looked amazing at night

Was this on Saturday? My family when there on Saturday and we came right as it opened and there were longlines ever were. I think the reason it was so crowded is there were some dance competitions going on.
Saturdays are always busy I recommend going on Friday nights or weekday during the summer
Ugh people not wearing masks right or at all...honestly the reason I’ve avoided parks this year though I feel safe. It’s people I don’t super trust and hate to say but some parts of the country just don’t take this all seriously...so I’m not going those places for now despite the fact they have parks I want to visit. Btw man what are you studying in college? I always wonder what fellow enthusiasts study. On forums I see many engineers (makes sense I guess) and Ive know teachers and a few that do artistic/creative stuff. Just curious! (I’m doing public administration btw because I need to balance the coaster life with the most boring life haha)
I recently drove from Colorado to California and back, and of the 5 states I drove through, Utah was by far the worst for wearing masks. I would guess that more than half of the people I encountered there were not wearing masks.

And THEN, social distancing needs to be enforced better. Not on rides that have plenty of room though like B&M's, 4-seat accross, or wide areas,etc though.

I was there a little earlier that day with my mom, and we ended up leaving early. The plan was to go to Silverwood, but they got snowed out sadly, so we did Lagoon. And dang was that a horrendously terrible choice. I don't blame the park at all, but man it was just terrible. I don't think the park was designed to handle these kinds of crowds. We waited an hour for Cannibal. The longest I waited when I went back in September was about 15 minutes, it's crazy. I'm still disappointed about that day though. Payed almost $80 for a ticket just to barely do anything. I don't plan on Visiting Lagoon much in the future tbh, especially since I'll be heading to Ohio for college next year, so KI will be my home park.

Should have done even the basic amount of research before coming my dude... Basically NOBODY pays list price for Lagoon tickets. They are like ≈$50 at ALL local Costco's. And waiting an hour for a park's flagship roller coaster is totally normal at ANY large park during peak season... That doesn't sound particularly "horrendously terrible" at all. You haven't been to many major theme parks before, have you??? O_o
@@Cooe. 1. We don't live near the park, so getting ticket at a "local costco" isn't really a feasible option.. 2. Cannibal has better ops than most rides, so it usually only takes maybe 20 minutes max to get through from my experience. 3. I haven't been to any huge parks, but I know wait times are much longer in major parks. However, lagoon has never been an issue for me. And most people said it was more packed than they'd ever seen. So there's that.
Looked like Cannibal had at least a 2.5-3 hour wait, wow. And it was barely an hour.
