This was great. Thank you for pulling all of this together Evan. I relate to all 12. One that resonates is no longer being open to consuming violent content. I used to love horror movies, but now don’t find interest in these at all.
I identify the last several months as being in a “State of Grace”. I grew up in the church of sorts. My home was a devoutly Catholic home, however, free of judgement. I attended weekly mass out of ritually feeling Catholic and Jewish guilt, the other side of my religious training. Once I hit my 20s/30s, I began exploring different spiritual practices. However, going o the Vatican and the priest-child abuse really impacted me negatively and I pulled away from the church. I began to honor Oprah, Marriane Williamson, etc. Lately, I really feel the sense of a higher power. After my morning workout, I walk throughout Union Square at break of dawn and watch the birds. I’m kinda a Lone Wolf as an only child so my self exploration is nothing really new. I just really feel blessed……I mix some of my religious training with Eastern philosophies. I live in a neighborhood with a lot of Middle Eastern people…….Muslim doesn’t necessarily appeal to me but the people in my neighborhood are really nice and inspiring and makes me want to research more about Middle Eastern life.
Great video Evan! I read a few books like ‘Denial of Death’ by Earnest Becker, ‘No Death No Fear’ by Thanh. I can never remember his full name. Right now I am reading‘The Journey of Souls’ by Michael Newton. I think it’s okay to care about causes. I care about most of what you mentioned but as long as someone doesn’t let the issues overtake their own lives, keep imposing beliefs, or stop doing everything they enjoy. For example, I still love horror movies but as for the crime stuff if the content is more viewed for psychological analysis.
Great content Evan! Yep me too - almost 2 yrs now. I Love and Accept myself and discovered the impact of my prior egocentric life. I chose the societal programs that I want to participate in or not. As within so without.
I recently got a tattoo on my arm as a constant reminder. It says be kind. Dont hate. Dont worry. My two best friends passed away recently so I'm trying to enjoy my life and not worry about anything. Living in the moment as much as I can. I've cut out negative people from my life. My mother is very negative but I've drastically limited my contact with her. I've also left the rat race.
Another for me is a lack of interest in sex or sexual content unless it's with a person you're connected with on a deep emotional, psychological and spiritual level.
How do I apply spirituality to improving my social skills. I never really learnt how to talk to people as a kid and now I feel really behind others in my twenties. I understand that I was destined to be this way by the universe and have my own path in life, but I still want to improve if you get what I mean.

Has anyone noticed an increase in craving fruit and fresh food? It's more than my brain telling me that I should eat healthy, it's feels like a deep craving for it, and I'm increasingly put off by unhealthy processed stuff
2:16 for the list
Dont do that! Get your watch time king!

@@Bochanable check out “Sufism”. It’s sort of like Middle Eastern spirituality.

yes, you can definitely learn a lot from that kind of content from a psychological perspective.
Thank you Evan! This is spot on!

yes, sometimes its not a matter of completely avoiding them, but simply choosing the right ones.
It´s good to see that I´m on the right way. 12☑
I became more interested in psychology, particularly the work of Carl Jung. I also began paying more attention to my dreams.
Interesting insight, I have too actually.
Great content, I was relieved how practical your list is here.
I am allergic to all that repeating numbers stuff.

I love that! so sorry to hear about the loss of your friends. hope you're doing better now.
@@myselfasevan I am doing better. I think about them daily. But as you say it's gone there's nothing I can do about it. I'm just doing things I enjoy.
I wasn’t interested in none of this. Actually I use to clown others for this stuff. Look at me now .

That's a good one, I am surprised I missed it.

Can you have a spiritual awakening and still believe in Jesus and God, after having way too many examples of how he worked in my life
Yes, look up Christian mysticism
