Chris, do you have any idea the number of lives you have enriched with your show AND live from home? You, my man, are a gift. Stay safe, take care. May joy follow you everywhere.
I'm so thankful for this chance to hear Chris play in the sealed space of the vehicle. This really accentuates how amazing his RIGHT HAND is as well. On such a percussive instrument, the "picking hand" has a lot of control, in terms of an entire spectrum of picking volumes and picking styles. He has such a balance between his left and right hands.
He's still the best mandolin player on the planet.
True. Although Sierra Hull can give him a run for his money!
Imagine just finding Chris outside your house in his car playing in the middle of the night.
Always amazed that Chris seems to have such a light touch & yet clear clean tone all the time! Anyone who has ever fretted music on a mando knows that there is so little room on that narrow neck for big fingers...or even fingers of any size!
Appreciate the virtual gift Chris. The moment you start playing you seem to go to a very rapturous place.
Whoo buddy
Oh that’s just the cocaine. JUST KIDDING, CHRIS I LOVE YOU!!!! ❤️
Chris, thank you for lightening the load in uncertain times and creating pure joy...
Thank you Chris, and thank you LFH social media manager! :)
Kinda crazy that a musician like Chris can't play music at his house at night :D only human after all
Chris you are magic! We met you at Ryman two years ago and our little daughter loves your music. She's dancing right now... trying to learn "Banish Misfortune" today for her! This is the 4th week at home in Italy. It's really a nightmare... Hugs from Italy!
your daughter play mandolin too? 😊 greeting from bali island
@@JustFiddler just few chords, she plays piano, singing and dancing Irish
@@anitadavideduo lovely! we have small celtic comunity in bali
@@JustFiddler :-)
Ahoy from Australia! Chris Thiele, keep us sane and positive, right across the world.
Thank you. I just used your rendition to check I got my chords right to accompany this tune in guitar. Though you need no accompaniment!
There is no better thing than the magic of the moment, thank you Chris!
One of my favorites!
If my apartment shared a wall with his I'd be happy to hear his playing at ANY time of day lol
I just watched this video like 16 times and learned several things......Chris is definitely in the front passenger seat......of what I think is at least a 2015 Mercedes based on the interior illumination....what you may not have noticed yet is that Noam is in the rear seat on the drivers side. Keep watching until you notice.....
He will forever be in my heart as the greatest mandolin player of all time🤘🏻
So sweet Chris!
Thanks Chris. My friend's Irish band plays this one also.
That last note ❤
Thank you for this! this is one of the first celtic tunes i learned back in the 90's and until recently i'd never heard anyone else play it other than my teacher. Everyone has their own little variation on it and it is clear you are having a blast jamming on it. Cheers!
After this was given a ticket for DWA..driving while awesome!
I enjoyed the snot out of this. Thanks, Chris.
Ahoy Chris, Dreading the idea that the upcoming Live From Here shows at Town Hall will be postponed or, god forbid, cancelled. But thanks so much for setting up “Live From Home” with all your best buds. I’ve been a enjoying the clips with my best buds! 🌿 Stay healthy & strong, for you are a national Treasure.
I'm in tears. Thanks Chris, you are the greatest.
Thank you Chris !
The magic that’s in your hands ceases to amaze👏👏
What a great way to spread positive vibes to us all. Love it Chris! Thanks for sharing your gift.
I’m grateful for you and your music! Thank you 💪🏻👍🏻
Wonderful! I just saw Chris a couple weeks ago in Grand Rapids, Michigan. He was Great!!!
You are a special individual. Thank-you.
Perfect, classic, song choice!
Thanks Chris. All the best to you and yours.
Loved it Chris! Thanks for doing these. They're helping me stay sane during this crazy time :)
This is one of my all time favorites.
my favorit tune, greeting from bali island
This filled me with so much joy.
Thanks Chris, stay well.
Ahoy! Thanks, Chris!!
He can share a wall with me whenever. He'd probably get tried of me yelling songs I wanted to hear out, but hey I'd bring him cookies or something
Ahhhhhhhhhhhh.
I'm at a loss for words to describe what #livefromhome means to me right now. It's more than just entertainment. It's inspiring, encouraging, and what many of us need right now. Thank you.
What strings are you using, plz?
-I celebrated St Patty's alone...in my car.
-Oh my god Chris, you cant do that, that's illegal, ...are you okay?
-Oh ya, sorry, i meant i played Mandolin to a hundred thousand people through the internet. In my car. Wash your hands, kids.
-Will do Chris, will do.
So great Chris and thanks for initiating this "At Home " effort. First time I heard that piece was from Patty Larkin on guitar long ago: ruclips.net/video/S-Zyl4VwnLg/видео.html You two should do that one together, would be awesome!
