Texas is the South 100% no matter what part of Texas you are in its considered the south. The Deep south starts in east texas and Florida is the south but not the deep south just like Tennessee isnt the deep south but inland south.The thing is that Texans seem to forget that they are true solid southerners. Florida on the other hand has always had that deep south vibe but doesn’t qualify as the deep south due to their history.
