The invisible bullet glitch is both the best and worst of them all. Worst because it ruins attempts at a true no death run. Best because it couldn't have happened in a more fitting fight, to the point that it wouldn't surprise me if this was just something Shinki can do.
It would NEVER ruin a """"true no death run""" because it's extremely easy to avoid - just don't attack yuki/mai during their worm attack. Anyone going for an advanced clear of MS *knows* it
the damage bug only affects her slashes, which are her focused attack, her unfocused attack still enjoys the increased damage of being an eagle shot. in fact, if you learn how to play her mostly unfocused, you can do some good damage even in bosses
I remember encountering a weird glitch (Although it's moreso an error) in WBaWC where when you go to the Achievement Room and replay the Bad Endings for Youmu or Marisa it'll throw you to Saki's bossfight with Reimu instead. (And Reimu's Bad Ending triggers the Credits) This threw me off so hard the first time I encountered it as I was like "Who the hell is this?... what?... Why am I in a boss fight.."
1:41 - The extra shots in SoEW is intended. It is mentioned in the manual: Zキー お札ショットを撃ちます。 おしっぱなしで自動連射しますが、連打することによって すこし連射力をあげることができます。 ボスなど、早く倒すことができます。 Zkey Attack with amulet shots. Holding it will allow for auto-shooting, but rapidly tapping it will allow shots to be fired a bit more rapidly. With this, you can defeat bosses quickly. As for the Divide Error Glitch, I don't think I was the first one to discover it but I did document about why I think this happened first (requiring a very specific timing window). The ReC98 community did end up discovering the exact cause. You can find in-depth details about this on their progress blog (2022-04-18) if you or anybody here haven't seen them. Probably an interesting read for any tech-savvy folks. The Kurumi crash meanwhile happens on Easy only if your rank is at the lowest possible value. At this rank the game tries to fire a 0-way pattern out of the lasers hitting the wall, which the game doesn't know what to do with. Also thanks for the acknowledgement of my feedback. I can see with this video that you are improving, but something like scoring-specific videos need knowledge and insight from scoreplayers.
there's a fun glitch in lolk that causes bombing during one of hecatia's spellcards to summon junko in the middle of the screen which potentially instantly kills the player by collision
I love how everyone says Shinki is the only other boss with cheeto lasers besides Yuki and Mai when EX Alice also uses them I don't think EX Alice activates the glitch since the Extra is a whole game mode if its own, but still
I've recently found out that in SA (idk if it happens in other games) you can kill Sanae before her midboss fight by using a certain character and bombing where Sanae would be, allowing to skip the Sanae midboss
by using reimu c and bombing a bit before orin s6 midboss/sanae's sprite appears you can actually destroy it and not have to fight them at all though you don't get any item aside from the small faith item the sprite drops
My favorite touhou glitch, that happens to be in my favorite touhou game, Unconnected Marketeers, is the one regarding the "vampire fang" card. The glitch only occurs when playing as Sakuya and will make it so if the card is used during time stop the enemy will be hit no matter where Sakuya happens to be. I just love how specific it is and that this specific card happens to just work on Sakuya, like the card had some kinda favouritism towards her due to the card being Remilia's. Oh, and it's also a plus that it makes the worst bomb in the game significantly better.
Considering that both MS and PCB allow you to get to the Final Stage on easy, and EoSD itself has unused spell cards for Remilia on Easy, EoSD itself was most likely going to let you get to Remilia on Easy at some point. If so, it might have been cut for a lack of time, just like Rin Satsuki.
4:32 Nemuno and Okina (extra excluded) have this glitch too in their finals, because their s end too early before their spellcard. The timeout glitch from th16-17 extra happens whenever you get to trigger their bombshield, when it wears off, their invincibility flag wears off too. Spellcard bonus is obtainable if bombed before the spell starts. Releases work anytime on Okina I wish the shoplifting glitch remained so that if the player uses it, they'd get punished.
Also, there's a glitch in LLS where, if your 'rank' is too low when you fight Kurumi (which I think is achieved by dying right before you reach her....? Not sure), the game crashes
I'm pretty sure AspreyFM encountered it while doing a no movement run of that game. Maybe something like what you theorised happened. I'm pretty sure he attempted it on Easy, so that may be a clue.

I don't think it did at all, enemies in SoEW are quite tanky if you don't mash so it feels a bit like you're supposed to use it anyway? I genuinely feel like it may have been a programming oversight ZUN just decided to keep since afaik shmups that allowed for extra DPS via mashing/external autofire were becoming less common by the time SoEW was made.
@@kobito1176 The thing is, if you were supposed to use it anyway, then why not just make the shot have more power, or have the enemies take less hits in the first place? Then again, these may be because of ZUN not really being used to making shmups yet, considering the only Touhou game before this was based on Arkanoid of all things. As for the other point, if it's true, ZUN himself must have noticed this trend, and kept it in SoEW as sort of a way to get it into Touhou or to have it as a last hurrah sort of deal. He probably dropped it for PoDD as it wouldn't fit a multiplayer game, and permanently scrapped it for LLS due to a combination of the mashing no longer being a thing by then in shmups and ZUN himself just getting better at making shmups and making everything feel fluid without requiring the player to mash the fire button.

The bullets leave behind trails that stay on screen until you beat the stage you're on. I have a couple videos on my channel demonstrating this. It seems to only happen during boss fights, specifically Elly, Yuuka's first fight, and the Extra bosses. And, I have no idea what causes it,, Did a bunch of testing, still not sure.
In Subterranean Animism there is a glitch that: 1. If you well-time a bomb before the mid-boss dialogue in Stage 6 with Reimu C, Orin will disappear. Since the spell can't be captured, you will have to wait for how long the spell took to be timed out (37 seconds) so the stage can start functioning again. 2. The same happens in the Extra Stage with Sanae, but with Marisa B. The difference is that Sanae drops a life piece (probably the one that was originally supposed to fall from the last spell) and instead of waiting for the amount of time for Sanae's 3 cards to time out, it just cuts to the rest of the stage after Sanae. What is the reason? I don't know. It probably has to do with them not having a proper health bar, or they might have the same health bar as a normal enemy during the dialogue: this might be proven by the fact that when the die, they die like regular enemies, not with the animation when a boss gets defeated. But in that case, it might as well apply to other bosses, yet, it has not been proven in any sense. Also, I don't know if this glitch happens only in a specific version of the game, so feel free to try it and see if it works for you. (Feel free to correct me)

After their first combo spellcard(when all three sisters are on the screen), surprisingly, instead of Merlin it was Lyrica who started a non-spell! More than that, it wasn't Merlin's attack, but her own, the one she uses if you use Reimu! I was very confused and still don't know if someone encountered that as well
It isn’t a glitch but an actual part of the fight. Whoever you deal the most damage to during that spell card is who you would fight from there on. Very useful for Sakuya as Merlin is a pain to deal with and Lyrica is much easier to handle
In WBaWC my replay of Reimu got really weird and the replay had Reimu being controlled weirdly with seemingly infinite lives. If there’s anyone who wants to explain what happened please do tell. I just assumed the file cot corrupted. The video is in my channel

PRB In mkds if you keep snaking after a rocket boost at the start, you retain the properties of that rocket boost - letting you drive offroad without losing speed. But, if you ever drop out of a mini-turbo state, the glitch stops for the entire race. In other words, you have to snake perfectly for the entire race. PRB is so OP and difficult, theres an entire seperate time trials category for it. So while snaking is not a glitch, the clip you show here certainly is!

Aya's bullets don't beat the AI by being "too fast". The AI simply judges their hitbox improperly, you can see that it handles speed pretty well

This also happens with Nazrin's yellow pendulum in touhou 19, the AI struggle heavily to dodge them even when it's low level
