Ben Quittaker has been found out. That kid will never make it past european level at best.
To be honest, he has only had a handful of bouts, and it was too early a step up. This gonna be the only issues going forward, big turki wants a fight to happen, it will happen. Regardless of the experience of each fighter.
@@Leon-y2gGood point. As much as we love Turki, fighters who have potential but are not quite there yet need to be careful, because Turki wants tough fights. Matchmaking needs to be very careful with these guys. For example, Wardley/Ckarke. Personally I don’t think Clarke was ready yet for that fight, and got rushed into it. Now has ended up with a bad injury.

I said for longest, he's built on American tiktok/social media 20 second clip hype. Even if he hadn't lost, if those 3m insta fans he had tuned in for full fight they'd be bored right away. Hype job.

He felt Liam lean - grabbed onto him- leaned back and lifted his feet with the momentum to pull them both over the rope . That IS what all of us can see happen ffs!! The re- match needs to happen fast if there's no injuries - which will need proving if there are .

I think Whittaker took the easy way out, I think we'd have seen some evidence of injury by now. Ben wasn't exactly being schooled in there, just a good humbling experience he'll probably learn a lot from. I'd back Whittaker to win in a rematch. If you re-watch the fight you can clearly see Ben gets caught with a body shot that takes the wind out of him before he decides to hold on then backflip over the ropes and quit.
Bivol doesn’t have knockout power (at world level) but he has enough power to gain his opponents respect. You can’t be a LHW champ for as long as he was by being a pillow puncher, he’s fought plenty of pressure fighters that would’ve walked through him if he had no power at all. Can’t be compared to Whittaker who’s KOs are drying up before even getting to Euro level

Guys aint got a clue. The judges agreed on 10 rounds. Judges gave Bivol in respect 6 rounds, 5 rounds and 4 rounds. This is one of the very few fights where the judges virtually agreed on what they saw.

Boxing needs to shake up the scoring system, make it more clean cut with a single set of scoring guidelines set by all boards and governing bodies. They also need to introduce live scoring, after every 3 rounds the judges scores are aired, this will make judges accountable and bouts more exciting. We also need judges to score digitally instead of using pen and paper, a new card can easily be rewritten to change a decision, whereas a live format cannot be tampered.

Quite interesting hearing the views of everyone texting in because I didn’t see the fight and my first reaction was “that’s a bit weird for that to happen” and thought previously that he wasn’t living up to the hype. If he thinks he’s losing and that’s effectively him right back at the bottom, more than feasible he took his chance of an out.

This is why promoters constantly put fighters in easy fights. Fans turning on fighters for struggling early in their careers. One of the big reasons the sport has been as bad at it is for match making for years is this constant need to declare they arent cut out for boxing or they been found out. Fans moan about it and then do these pile ons after and dont realise what it does. He is only young, 9 fights in. He may be nothing in the game, but dont damage the sport by burying fighters for struggling early in their career
