Not if you're being emotional abused, used in a way that harms your life or if you were abused as a kid/ neglected/ abandoned, that is not healthy boundaries, But many cultures/ religions have high expectations for children and grandchildren to take care of elders. I am in one of those traditions and believe that is true but it must be balanced and not allow emotional abuse or manipulation to be entered in the relationship. Especially with elders, there comes a point they become as dependent as the babies we once were are, if we do not care for them then they have no one and that is our responsibility. Be Blessed !

If you have a warm undertone you look best in warmer colors (for example, you look better in gold jewelry and warmer hair colors) and if you have a cool undertone you look best in cooler colors (for example, you look better in silver jewelry and ashier hair colors). You could also have a neutral undertone where you look good in either warm or cool colors.

Aside from the fact that you are the most amazing hair stylist / artist , I love how you always make your appointments personal and talk to your clients one on one to check up on them. Never in 30 years have I ever had anyone dye or bleach my hair with such thought than Guy has for his clients. I’ll ask for sand highlights and I get brass. I mean the hell. I think beauty schools should teach the guy tang method and it be a 2 year course! THEN ppl would trust em way more. Just mho
I learned to cut my own hair, from a licensed cosmetologist who was my dad's friend. She used to sit by hair for free, because we were poor, but then she needed more clients so she taught me. Only salon individual I ever met who considered client needs as much as guy. I learned to color my own hair after some horrific salon experiences that left my hair broken or, my fave, over-processed to the point of platinum antennae in the front and green in the back.

They seem to do the basics but don’t take the time to blend or feather or use a V or W when applying product. If they took the time they could double their fee. It’s like a duh thing
Although there are plenty of both good and bad hairdressers in world I have a feeling you don't know exactly how hard being a hairdresser can be. There are so many different facets to our jobs. Not everyone is going to be trained in balayage or other advanced lightening techniques. Guy tang makes it look easy but in reality learning this stuff requires money, patience, dedication, and hard work. I suggest finding somebody who specializes in balayage. Do your research and expect to pay for their expertise.
I've followed you since the very beginning of your time on RUclips and am grateful for the education you have taught this seasoned stylist 31years this year to not be afraid of any color and I thank you because now I'm a master in my Salon and have a passion for color . LOL I am with you on the "I'm not gonna be old" train! I'm 51 and just had my boyfriend attempt "oil slick" - I've never bleached my long dark brown hair before now, but he did okay at it! Lol- now I just need a deep conditioning and a maybe another round of colors to add dimension but honestly it looks way better than I had dared even hope! Any suggestions on the conditioner would be greatly appreciated!

Thank you for sharing your imtimate stories. It let's me know that there are other people out there like me. I lost my mom a few years ago and it shattered my world and just about broke me. All of a sudden, my biggest supporter, my confident, and the person that loved me unconditionally, was gone. I was so lost and broken hearted (and TBH, still am today). I've been trying to find my new "normal life" ever since.
