Now that I went to a hairdresser here in the small Czech Republic in Europe, who's using your products I started to appreciate you even more, because your success is insane but soo deserved 🤩😍 I love that over the years that I've been watching you, you still stayed true to yourself and this chill style of your videos is just so entertaining, informative and honest(?😁). There was a time when I was a bit concerned, because it seemed like you stopped being your crazy quirky self, but now I see that you just evolved into an even better version of yourself and nowadays you seem genuinely happy and balanced :)
You have SUCH an eye for what is going to look good on people. I loved when you color and dried it after bleaching and toning and explained that it looks good, but you're going to keep going to make sure it's hair that looks good on HER. The most upset I've ever been with my hair is when I spent the most money on it. I came in and explained what I wanted and the (very talented) hairdresser did something else completely that looked really beautiful- just awful on me and made me feel ugly.
I’ve seen many “super” hair artists here in London. To get a few highlights, a shampoo and a toner. In 1 hour, I was out, not happy and ruined. I paid a fortune and they didn’t give me an inch of what Guy Tang give to his client.

Ok, first you applied colour remover, then you neutralised the under pigments with ash, and finally you applied bleach on her hair... Isn't her hair too much damaged ???
Colour remover does not damage hair in general. Other than the eggie smell, it usually leaves hair soft and healthy. Guy also uses Olaplex and his own collagen products during bleaching and colouring. So the answer to your question is... no... Guy Tang is not likely to fry his client's hair off. He knows his stuff!!

Changing hair color does not really mean you dont love ur ethnicity or roots. Its all just COLORS . We also use or wear different colors of our clothes, nails, accesories, lipsticks or getting tattoo. All are just about blending in to our natural skin tone to look more presentable and polished. I love your creativity and imaginative approach to hair color! My comments aren't meant as criticism, just as a real life consideration: as a colorist for over 30 yrs, I've worked in many high end/Madison ave type salons, as well as freelancing on my own. Salon owners would definitely take issue with using the 6 different formulas you typically advocate for each client. This is just not realistic or cost effective in real life. Too expensive, requiring ginormous stocking of color. Not to mention, this takes many hours, really allowing you to take only one or at the most, two clients a day. This can only really work for your unique situation as an independent and brand owner with unlimited access to your line. Nevertheless, I find your channel entertaining and inspiring. And I applaud your fearless branching out into music, despite the small minded criticism.

Hey Guy, my hair does not look like my pic now since going through chemo. From bald to white with salt&pepper on the bottom back and curly. I wish you could talk your mom or someone else that's older into going gray and all the fun colors that don't siren the grow out every 2+ weeks. Just love you and you're so so talented on top of it (singing included). Have never had uncolored hair and at 73 not totally ready for it yet. Waiting for a Guy Tang paranormal experience !!! TYSM !

i know this is an old video, but i have some questions and need professional advice. ''BEAUTY SCHOOL DROP OUT''' IA M ANOT A PROFESSIONAL. professional do this for me cause yea. we used olaplex and i was already using the olaplex line and continue to. i kept up w my roots on my own which I've done 1 million times on myself. till one night it went wrong...don't drink and dye-well technically lift... some serious damage occurred but it was an even lift. with a hair cut i was back to a beautiful even canvas, buttt i just had to dye it with Overtone the ginger color. kept it for awhile, once i had about 1/2 an inch of root i got bored so i used overtone Espresso i kept it a very dark brunette for awhile. i had approximately an inch of regrowth then dyed it with 3N by one and only and 20v developer, the areas that soaked up the most pigment had been, near my ends from the original bleach i had done by my stylist, and my roots that had grown out and not been processed. the mid shaft had gathered enough pigment everthing at first appeared as an even level 3 but after two washes it appeared as a level 4-maybe even 5. the rest quickly faded too just not as much. my roots have grown in by less than a centimeter since then. i liked it but knew if i kept dying it dark. my roots would be hell to keep up, since my natural color is between level 7-8. so i am on the journey to get back to at least a level 6-7. so naturally i went to sallys. i know i should have waited and gone to a professional. but i didnt...next i have done two hair color removals processes with bleach washes using a 15v developer and olaplex. we came to a weird place.. it was incredibly orangish yellow, with some banding which im not surprised about either of those and at this point idgaf about the color of the bands as long as i know whats healthy and what compromised. anyways with all the orangeiness it was hard to tell at lightest i could say it looks like a level 7. i probably should have done some hair healing and done one more bleach wash. then idk maybe tone but i didnt. i fucked up. i dyed my hair with 15 v developer using permanent 7g honey blonde by ion. soo it brought out a lot more orange. andd darkened a lil bit. so my question is can i tone this using like a level 7 or 8 toner to get to a livable color, or do i need to do another hair color removal process and then tone? or what. im just gonna say at this time and extended future going to a professional is not an option for affordability and quarantine. and im not patient enough to leave it be. id rather keep trying till i shave my head again, than leave it, ive shaved my head many times so its fine.

professional do this for me cause yea. we used olaplex and i was already using the olaplex line and continue to. i kept up w my roots on my own which I've done 1 million times on myself. till one night it went wrong...don't drink and dye-well technically lift... some serious damage occurred but it was an even lift. with a hair cut i was back to a beautiful even canvas, buttt i just had to dye it with Overtone the ginger color. kept it for awhile, once i had about 1/2 an inch of root i got bored so i used overtone Espresso i kept it a very dark brunette for awhile. i had approximately an inch of regrowth then dyed it with 3N by one and only and 20v developer, the areas that soaked up the most pigment had been, near my ends from the original bleach i had done by my stylist, and my roots that had grown out and not been processed. the mid shaft had gathered enough pigment everthing at first appeared as an even level 3 but after two washes it appeared as a level 4-maybe even 5. the rest quickly faded too just not as much.
my roots have grown in by less than a centimeter since then.
i liked it but knew if i kept dying it dark. my roots would be hell to keep up, since my natural color is between level 7-8. so i am on the journey to get back to at least a level 6-7. so naturally i went to sallys. i know i should have waited and gone to a professional. but i didnt...next i have done two hair color removals processes with bleach washes using a 15v developer and olaplex. we came to a weird place.. it was incredibly orangish yellow, with some banding which im not surprised about either of those and at this point idgaf about the color of the bands as long as i know whats healthy and what compromised. anyways with all the orangeiness it was hard to tell at lightest i could say it looks like a level 7. i probably should have done some hair healing and done one more bleach wash. then idk maybe tone but i didnt. i fucked up. i dyed my hair with 15 v developer using permanent 7g honey blonde by ion. soo it brought out a lot more orange. andd darkened a lil bit.
so my question is can i tone this using like a level 7 or 8 toner to get to a livable color, or do i need to do another hair color removal process and then tone? or what. im just gonna say at this time and extended future going to a professional is not an option for affordability and quarantine. and im not patient enough to leave it be. id rather keep trying till i shave my head again, than leave it, ive shaved my head many times so its fine.
