I just got my hair done and my girl lightened my baby hairs and I wanted to say... " Guy says you're not supposed to do this!" Lol but I thought that would be rude. My old picture had my curly hair because that's what it looks like natural now I'm going to update it...
I was searching for this demo the night before my first back-combed balayage to no avail! (Did a search for Guy Tang balayage--go figure). well my client had virtually no damaaaage, nor texture to her locks so I cranked in the back-combing and experienced the hell Guy is referring to here upon my efforts at post-process detangling. I thad remembered the instruction about back combing underneath, but alas, none of her fine, smooth, untextured hair would stay put. Shoulda used some hairspray or Thick Body or somthing because combing out that back-combed mess was a nightmare! Albeit the results were pretty, I am eager to discover alternative techniques to achieve the same thing if possible.
Enough about me though! Guy, your beautiful client now has equally beautiful hair! Thanks for another entertaining and enlightening tutorial, Hair Bestie! Love your work and sending adoration from Minneapolis!

I was at, OMG yes, Sally's a few days ago, and these girls that work there have no idea what they're talking about. After seeing and watching everything that you do, I'm trying to tell these girls who were shopping whatt to do. They didn't listen to me 😳 they went with the salesperson, so I'm sure her hair is not going to be what she wanted.. thank you for teaching me so much because my hair looks really good and I do it myself and I'll be 60 soon but I love it. I just put a toner on today. It was a week-long process for me but it was worth the work.
And by the way Guy.... you are SUPER SEXY and I was going to interrupt the video as soon as it started to say, "I love your hair"...

They only get a glaze over hair color and im like 90% sure their info is so outdated and they probably don't keep up to date with new knowledge
The girls at Sally's really don't get that great of training. They just recommend the products that are "most commonly used"
@@stephychado I asked a sales person at sallys for a product and she said it wouldn't work on my hair. And I had all the other things in my hands to bleach my hair. I just needed a protien treatment and she told me it would not work and it was pointless to waste my money.
I always do my own research as much as possible before I head over to Sally's also. ♥️

Btw, I live in Houston, Texas. We have a very large Asian community down here. The food is absolutely delicious!! I love it!! We have been living in Houston for over 30 years now. We moved down here because of my husband's job. We are originally from Queens, New York. We haven't lived there for over 40 years now. The people down here are great!! They are very friendly and kind. They help everyone and anyone, especially, when we went through Hurricane Harvey in August of 2017. That was a horrible storm. A lot of people died during that storm. It was absolutely horrible! I hope we never experience that again. Have a great day, Guy!! Stay safe!! 💖

However, people can learn to be kind toward one another, if they try hard enough. It really isn't that hard to be kind to other people. I do it all the time. However, I love people, anyway. Maybe, that's why I worked in the retail industry for a very long time. I don't work in retail any longer because of my back problems. That's one of the reasons why I retired from working. My back can't take it any longer. But, I do miss the interaction with the customers. Most of them were so sweet and kind. Some of them weren't. But, I tried to make them laugh and put a smile on their face, anyway. It made me feel better and made them feel better, too. That's the main thing in life. Isn't it?? Just saying. 😊

Love the end results! I used to complain of spending 2 hrs. at hair salon when dying my hair but the many steps you've shown and the thick hair I have, I will need to spend at least 4hr at the salon and that will bother me seriously. Can you go lean on the steps? that will make a huge difference

I had blonde hair before and I told to my self I'm not going to do that again, because made my hair unhealthy and super dry. I need a quick tip, I want that dark ash blond. How to explain it to my hairdresser she always ends up making it super light and brassy but I want this deep deep ash cool toned dark blonde.
Bring in a photo! And if it doesn’t work out ask why. Sometimes if your not light enough you can’t become a dark ash blonde.
