For anyone fitting these who is unsure which bracket goes where and in which direction… The long brackets go at the rear of the vehicle. Also, each of the 4 brackets has a slightly longer and shorter side. ALL short sides go at the front (so towards the front of the vehicle)
There are two different brackets, a short and a long one and each aren't symmetrical so could be fitted either way round and result in the sidebar mounting point being at a different location along the wheelbase. Additionally, the side bars are handed as the front and rear brackets are at different locations along the bars and one has a green bit of tape on which I'd guess is an indicator for left or right side. But... there are no instructions in the box and this video doesn't cover any of the above? There is also no link to any online instructions on the product page of the website. Am I missing something?? I don't really want to waste an hour applying trial and error.. some rough maths suggests there may be 24 different combinations to work through! Cheers
Sorry guys but this is a poor instructional video. A simple task as you know but you guys have made it look difficult lol. How did you do that. Break it down better. Don’t worry about the video looks. What needs trimmed and where. Where the bolt holes are. Slow it down. Show how easy it is to fit. This is the opposite.

I’ve got a matte black set of your bars for my T6.1 SWB. Before I attempt to fit them I was just wondering if you need to cut a square just out of the under trays where the bars bolt onto the brackets or do you also need to cut around the bolts that hold the brackets to the van? Or are the bolts hidden underneath the plastic trays? Thanks.
Can these be drilled for inserting the led lights? I have a chrome oem one on van and want to change it to black but want to swap the illumination from the old to the new..
Hi just wanted to ask on the lower bumper grille there is a six hole sensor I've a 6.1 but on the front I've only four hole sensor will this work with a six sensor tks again for all the tips Dave
Hi Lee, it's looked like you had the brackets on the wrong side from the video you sent. I believe the office team have sent you photos of the correctly placement this morning? Hope that's helped.
not really a how to fit video...its a video of someone fitting them. how did he remove the under tray? where are the bolt holes located? how do he fit the bolts in them, what's the order for the washers and some plastic thing i saw on the floor....ooaa look its Paul Daniels "its Magic" lol here seconds later the bars are loosely mounted...ffs watching whilst typing...you said this under tray would need modding on this installed yet you show naff all really watch the video back for a "how to persepective" and how it is lacking...mine arrived today and they are quality but the delivery guys stand them up and walk them on the floor and the sharpe end comes through the end polystyrene. lol put MORE alot MORE effort in...

Some running commentary on what bolts go where would be very useful

A side bar with a 3-year warranty, fair play. 304 is good stuff!
Yes sir :)
It's the under tray i would have liked more info on as this is where the issue could be...isn't it?

Some led side bars would be cool…. 😎
Just got the bars, this made me more confused just too quick.
Might try them on the roof instead.
Link in the description doesn't work, and the "trapezoid" ones on the website are 2 year warranty.

This van looks awesome! What make and tyre size is on this van? Just putting my order together from transporterhq EU!
At the time of this video these we had Navis MAC-AT wheels with 225/65/17 cooper discoverers ATT tyres.

Hello, you can get 6 hole and 4 hole. The 6 hole also comes with blanks for the 2 spaces you don't need.
I’ve just purchased some seconds side bars from yourselves, but the brackets just don’t seem to fit. Hope someone can help please!

Hi
I have a LWB t6.1 and I want to remove the sides and fit side steps, is that a diy job and are the existing anchor points on the underside?
Thanks
It can be a DIY job if you are fairly handy. Different bars / steps fit in different way's.
What are the roof bars on the van please? I'm trying to find some the same for my 2006 T5
These are genuine VW bars.
I really like these, and are the brackets stainless steel as well🤔
No they aren't but they are powder coated. These are the best I've seen and I'll check so many suppliers. The warranty is on the bars and brackets
@@THQAutomotive That's cool👊Thanks for you reply🤟
Who's is the alpina 7
