Ivan Cordeiro Braga I wouldn't say spike and amp are part of the usual enemies. Spike only shows up in 5 (4 if you want to strictly count normal spikes) main games, only one of them being 3D. And amp rarely shows up at all in general.
Funny, in Super Mario Maker 2 (I haven't played SMM 1) the Bob-Ombs NEVER have the same explosion effect as in the original games. The blast radius is also smaller, so you've gotta use more of 'em if you want them to present the same danger as in the originals; gotta wonder if that wounds their pride any.
