Hi good to see you i like that you do these videos it makes me at 56 feel less alien i am in a lot of pain but not overweight i am on hrt patches but having a lot of joint pain everywhere. I know someday years ahead they will realise i think that the pain we feel will have a name and there will be something to deal with it. Just keep chugging along. The colour of your eye makeup is lovely😊

So happy to hear from you Karen !!!
I wish you that this year is THE year : no more blood ☺
I'm amazed that you can take Tramadol. I only took it once, and I was sick for three days (vomiting)...
I wish you the best, really... REALLY.
    Please don't be a stranger 🥰😘
    (Pardon my english ; I'm French 😉)

Prescriptions in England are nearly £10 an item, so pricey. I get mine free as I'm 62. But I do think if Scotland gets them free, then England should. Nice to see you back.

Unfortunately Pam nothing is free in Scotland, tax payers pay. I'm extremely grateful but alls not as it seems up here

10 pounds is cheap compared to what we pay for some meds in the states.

@@Gobi512 Yes but say if you have 4 items in it, it will cost 40 pounds. I don't know why we don't get it free like Scotland though.

So glad to see you back Karen.
You do seem to be taking quite a lot of medication. I have Pulsatile Tinnitus 24/7 which is also very difficult to cope with, and there doesn't seem to be any help out there, I just have to live with it apparently, which is very frustrating. Sending you love, take care xx

I'm actually on less medication just now than I was a few years ago lol. Still a lot though I guess, but thankfully not as much as my Dad was on! Dad also had tinnitus, awful. I'm so sorry you are dealing with this :0( x

I relate to you so much, though I sleep pretty well. I take a prescription sleeping tab. I have had a total hysterectomy. I was told for years by my Aunts who suffered with migraines, just wait for menopause 🙄 I am 58 yrs old now, and still have a migraine every day. HRT (estrogen) seemed to make my migraine worse. I also take Valerian root for sleep, it helps. Thank you for sharing your experiences. You look fantastic, I stay home in my pajamas all day.. I can’t remember the last time I wore makeup because of sweating it off 🙄

Aww thanks so much for your lovely comment, and I'm sorry you are going through so much too! I've also regularly been told to wait for the post menopause so we'll see. HRT made my migraines worse too. If I didn't have You Tube I'd rarely wear makeup lol. I'm in my pyjamas most of the time too although to be fair I have to get dressed to walk my dog Watson! x

Thanks for the update Karen and sorry things are not much better. I take Venlafaxine, I’ve been taking it for a long time and it has helped with Migraine, I take 150mg. I also suffer with insomnia in patches and the only thing that works for me is getting out of bed for an hour and reading, then when I go back to bed I sleep, it’s the only thing that works. I also have diazepam but like you I can only take occasionally as I’m not prescribed enough. Maybe something to try, I hope things get better for you. 😊

My night flushes have all but gone away since I stopped drinking alcohol. My sleep has improved greatly by taking 6000mg of Supreme CBD oil. It has also knocked the terrible menopausal anxiety on the head.
    Good luck Karen. X

OMG I have chronic migraine and I’m perimenopausal, and I am ultra sensitive to every one of my possible triggers. I’m so annoyed!

Haven't finished the video yet (we are camping and our canopy just flew away! Had to tend to it...) but I wanted to tell you that since I can't take HRT my dr rx'd Venlafaxine (Effexor) and it has helped tremendously with the debilitating anxiety I was suffering in peri. I'm menopausal now but still having other symptoms so I still take it. I have heard that coming off of it can be tricky, so caution there. I have reduced with zero issues. Truly hope you find what will help you! Missed seeing you 💜💜💜
(just finished video) Just wanted to say I feel you with the insomnia! The other night, I had zero sleep! I'm not a big napper, either. However, unless I'm off work, it can be tricky managing not sleeping. We just keep trudging through. Take care!

Thanks for the update, fingers crossed going forward for the migraines. I went on continuous HRT (oestrogel and utrogestan) at 50, was still on the contraceptive mini pill so no definite proof of whether I was post or peri at that stage (no periods). Everything was fine and it’s been great for insomnia and night sweats, but I did have an episode of bleeding last year which I had to get checked out which was fine. So I’ve had to have my utrogestan dose doubled but back to no periods again which is bliss!

Strengthening my neck in pilates did help my migraines. Currently botox (on top of propranolol & amitriptyline) is helping - but it wore off early this time and had to book in a month early.

I have worsen migraines because of HRT in the process of weaning them out. Thinking about going the soy route equelle tablets

    • @LifeasaZebra
      @LifeasaZebra  7 месяцев назад

Soy worked on my hot flashes but I don’t think it’s necessary to buy the Equelle tbh (expensive!) - this study found the soy isoflavones work the same 👍
