Wll the other piece of this too is that this is just arbitration and not an actual court. the "judge" has way more leniency to do whatever the heck she wants and rule however she wants versus if she was an actual judge in court.
10:26 his head was down and laughing, CHEERFULLY, BEFORE the son explained anything. the son was laughing and cheerful too. they were all laughing at the Judge's comments.
True. I’ve been watching this show for years and all the dozens of lawyers that showed up, only 2 of them did a good job. Everyone else was a complete dud 🤣
In law school, they taught us not to practice in an area we're not familiar with, unless it's an emergency (i.e., just got arrested at 3 am). Other than that, get someone else! All the son does for his dad is doc review. But, also very disappointed in his knowledge of contract law. Everyone should know contract law.
Not all lawyers go to court a lot. There are corporate attorneys, trial attorneys, and litigators. A whole range of them. Corporate attorneys rarely go. Trial attorneys go almost every day. Litigators go a few times a year.
I feel the son did well for his dad, he stood and spoke his peace for his father and he tried. Whether they won or not he supported and stood up for his dad. Instead of knocking him as a lawyer, give him credit as a son. Anyway, that's my opinion.
Bought a used car in CA. Discovered the next day the block was cracked. Dealer said tough sh*t. Told the dealer he'd be in major trouble for selling a car without seat belts. I got a refund :)
The first mechanic never tested the on/off switch to see if it was the problem, he just guessed that it was. If he had, they might have found that the safety switch was the real culprit.
Judge M is so secure and good she just find it funny to have another judge in the court giving a try. No other Judge has a selfconfidence like her! She has da ATTITUDE of a winner!
Judge told son he can't be here to make legal arguments but only as a witness... son proceeds to spend almost his entire time making a legal argument, not testifying about what he witnessed.
They say that the safety cutout was the real culprit, but was it? The plaintiff's repairman had already replaced a load of wiring that was allegedly rotten, so how do we know that it would have worked at all with the old wiring?
From my understanding it depends on the lease especially with commercial property and some landlords actually build out properties specifically for some tenants because the lease can be longer term and l/or higher rent.
guy bought a product from a used store that they themselves couldnt get to work 🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️ Lanlord was desperate to get a mixter to get the Tennant on the hook probably 1 yr lease or more ☠ smh ppl will do anything for $$lol
The son was a useless lawyer, he won't go far, he should have been in total agreement with the judge but instead proved he knows nothing by insisting at the very end that he still disagrees with her verdict...
I don't think the plaintiff should have paid the mechanic when the mechanic didn't fix it. The verdict doesn't seem fair. The defendant agreed to absorb the cost of the repair, but there was no repair and the plaintiff single handedly paid the money. Or so he says. He didn't have any proof the mechanic was paid.
The defendant and his son look so much alike. I know it's not shocking for family members to look alike but they're practically twins at different life stages. Wow
Did you watch the same video as the rest of us, the son looks nothing like his father, the hair line is different, the forehead is different, the jaw line is different, the shape of the eyebrows is different, in fact there is NOTHING the same...
I understand that the lawyer is the defendant son and of course you're going to do everything you can to try to defend your dad but in the end he should have admitted that yes his dad was in the wrong he signed a contract when you sign a written contract you are bound by the Four Corners of that contract and his son still says he thinks it was wrong he must be the world's worst lawyer, how do you think it's wrong you see that your dad signed it not only did he sign it but he's the one who wrote it out people need to take responsibility and admit fault when they know they're wrong stop making every excuse in the book as to why you're not wrong you know if that lawyer was representing the plaintiff it would be completely different and he would admit that the defendant was bound by the signed contract
I'm sorry what? You go into a shop to buy a piece of equipment-- a commercial mixer, for Y0UR bakery, and Y0U don't know how it works??? Who else sees that dough doesn't mix, rise, or bake?

The lawyer trrrrriiiiieeeeeeddddddddddddd it but failed.

The son definitely tried it lol
Hahahahaha Sure did! Sorry, cowboy. 😂
I love that "the good college try" , 😂
He's a good boy.

I agree. What a good son! He tried to stand up for his dad. ❤
The defendant's son tried to flex his lawyer muscles, but he couldn't handle the weight the judge threw at him.
Yeah he's gonna need about 30 more years of lawyering to square up to her
Wll the other piece of this too is that this is just arbitration and not an actual court. the "judge" has way more leniency to do whatever the heck she wants and rule however she wants versus if she was an actual judge in court.
He knew it wasn't working and still sold it, but the plaintiff should have tested it before handing over any money
Harvey opening lines are soooo stale and he loves that old saying " hardly knew her"
Isn’t he getting so sleazy?
i don’t think he writes those 😂😂 but he definitely has been saying the same few for years hahah
Yeah the people’s court needs a new writer
I cannot stand him😩I FF over every second he is in!
Made me laugh lol
He should have just said I'll take $600 off the $2500 but it's sold as-is for $1900.00. Smh. Why complicate things.
Or took the time to inspect the machine himself to realize his error and save $600!
Meh
@@jccanteen The plaintiff said he didn't know anything about the machine. He should have told the seller "call me when it's working".
Too nice for his own good.
*“Congratulations! Well not congratulations, you’re the LOSER”!!!*
The savagery continues! 😂😂🤣
Damn time flies Edward from Twilight got old af 😬😬😬

I thought the same thing. Grandpa Cullen🧛♂️

his head was down and laughing, CHEERFULLY, BEFORE the son explained anything.

they were all laughing at the Judge's comments.
I think the father is grinning because he is busting out with pride for his son.
attorneys at small claims court usually end up making themselves look like idiots

I think he is interpreting the law from his point of view. Just as every lawyer does. Letter of the Law/ Spirit of the law
to most people, Personal Interest.. trumps mere laws.
it might be his integrity that is lacking, and not his knowledge.
As an undergrad (Legal Studies), I found contract law unappealing, so I cannot imagine how this course would be at Law school.
@@C3yl0 I went to law school and now practicing. I loved contract law! It depends on the person, haha.
The defendant looks like an older version of Edward Cullen from the first Twilight movie.

i'm sick of harvey. give him the boot.
Annoying 🙄
Harvey produces the show so he's not going anywhere.
Yeah he owns the show...or he got some kind of lifelong contract as a child 😂 will he be in a nursing home still doing the show? Probably.
Fascinating lawsuit!
School that lawyer, JM!
Defendant couldn't stop smiling
Quentin Tarantino looking a bit rough today
I wonder how many cases the defendant's son has won as a lawyer. His arguments in this case are so unimpressive.
He’s a labor and employment lawyer. This isn’t his area of specialty. He was just helping his dad.
Dad needs a new lawyer

Why is the Landlord responsible to supply equipment for someone's business? The Landlord is renting out space not renting out a business.
From my understanding it depends on the lease especially with commercial property and some landlords actually build out properties specifically for some tenants because the lease can be longer term and l/or higher rent.
