FYI, to save you from getting clapped in the comments, in DID, there isn't a *real* or *fake* one. All the "personalities" are alters, and they are all real. Marc Spector is the name he was assigned at birth, and one of the alters happens to identify with that name. In real life, and in comics continuity assuming they don't do something extra weird for this last stretch, you don't have a *psychotic break* and then "develop" an alter. He's been dealing with this since childhood.
At the end of each episode, there's a message to visit the website of the National Alliance on Mental Illness, i'll would recommend them to read it, so they can learn how one can developt DID and that an "alter" like Steven or the third one are equally real, as you said.
That's Dissociative Identity Disorder. Anyone who goes into this series should know this beforehand to get more insights, because this probably nails it down, not much accurate but almost.
Afaik, it's suggested in some moonknight runs that Marc actually did "develop" his alters due to his connection with khonshu, but, comics being comics, this isnt always the case, and in some runs, Grant and one other alter have been with Marc since early childhood.

The reason they didn't use an app or do research and calculate where the stars were on that night is because they didn't have enough time for research and calculation. It may having taken days to compile the information necessary to calculate the position of the stars all that time ago and the stakes were too high to trust a modern app to convey ancient information accurately enough for them to find what they needed. They were desperate so Khonshu made a desperate play
It’s important to note that a person with D.I.D doesn’t have a “real” identity, all 3 people(Marc, Steven, mystery man) are real people but in one body. They are called Alters as in alternates
Well they ask who was born and had parents to name him. As of now Marc seems the likely choice, or maybe the third alternate was the first one and Marc and Steven were born from him. Alternates start after certain traumatic events or come out for other reasons.
Ammit is crocodile not a Hippo you can see on the doll statue ammit has a long mouth similar to crocodile, also the cane or staff that Harrow hold, has a double crocodile head on it.
Traditionally the the Ennead are composed of nine gods; Atum, Shu, Tefnut, Geb, Nut, Osiris, Isis, Set, and Nephthys. Horus is an optional tenth member. However episode three showed five gods, or rather their avatars; Osiris, Hathor, Horus, Tefnut, and Isis. In the myths Hathor wasn't a member of the Ennead. However this episode shows a number of the gods have been sealed away in stone. It is possible their membership might of changed over the millenia. In the first episode Steven complained that the poster for the Ennead only had seven gods when there were nine of them, with Debbie claiming she fired two of them. This could be foreshadowing to the diminished numbers.
How would they have downloaded an app for astronomy in the desert? It’s not like they knew they’d be needing to use something that technical beforehand. Yes, Layla did have a tablet that she was using at the time.
Ammit has a crocodile head, not a hippo head. If you go back to episode 1, during the scene where Steven is doing museum inventory with his boss, he mentions the hippo goddess is Taweret.
If Steven was made up from the movie, he would be a lot more confident. What is more likely is that, he saw what Layla liked and made a personality that he thought would be perfect for her.
Yeah, I got that impression, too! She was really impressed when he had the book of French poetry or whatever and recited it, and you see her face (and Steven's) light up when they start geeking out together over their shared love and knowledge of Egyptology. It really seems to me that in spite of the fact that Mark was trying to protect Layla by pushing her away, he misses her and all those things he knew his wife loved, including Steven's sweet, honest-y are traits he knew she would love (and that he was missing!)
Steve Rogers' (Cap) full name is Steven Grant Rogers, so maybe that's where he got his name from? Like Marc read his full name somewhere and connects it to his image of a good person or something like that and subconsciously choose that name for Steven 'cause of that.
Ammit is depicted as a crocodile not a hippo. Plus i think that Steven was created as a cover originally to get inside the museum to find clues as to where Ammit tomb is or something like that. Because he has no real history other than the museum where he worked at
First and foremost, y’all just received another subscriber. Your guys reacting got me laughing hard; especially the jump scare 🤣 but anyways, keep the reactions coming. It’s awesome 💯🤙🏽
Amet is a croc not a hippo, the hippo one starts with a T and is in charge of "rebirth" The two missing gods that havent at any point been mentioned in the show thus far are Bastet, a black cat (see GIANT ASS PANTHER STATUE IN WAKANDA) whom i believe was in charge of knowledge, and Anubis, the Jackal, god of death (bit of a stretch, but, since Deadpool has literally flirted with the physical embodiment of death throughout his comics, could be a way to tie that in to the MCU)
All his personalities ARE real people believe it or not, the brain can create one when distressed to handle certain things or situations the other alter cant, aka Steven who knows his history but a lot of his life is restricted aka only leaving messages to his mom but he has a job which he could have gotten after he was created fully grown in the system (mind) and Marc being the main cause he was going thru adventures and Jake being the one who likes going on killing sprees in the most heated times. You are right the asylum was his mind and a place for them to meet, Steven being in the sarcophagus could mean thats where he goes when hes "asleep" in the inner world and it opens or is let out when hes fronting (controlling the body) and this shock of death finally snapped something for them to actually be together in the inner world of their system (mind). Believe it or not their is a real life world in their mind where alters talk, stay safe, restrict each other, etc. Its weird but its true. Sometimes alters let others see what they see, and they have the ability to block them too and even block the most painful memories to protect the system from the trauma that caused the break. There will always been someone or many who can hold the trauma depending on how bad the abuse was cause this starts when you are a child before a ceertain age. This show is as close to what it feels like for someone with DID and alters in one body DO want to be the main one, thats why Steven can get kinda annnoying wanting the body because he IS a real person inside that body, and each want individuality, but some feel safer inside.
wildest episode yet!

It may having taken days to compile the information necessary to calculate the position of the stars all that time ago and the stakes were too high to trust a modern app to convey ancient information accurately enough for them to find what they needed. They were desperate so Khonshu made a desperate play
Exactly like it was extremely risky, but don't trust an app over the literal moon god
Wrong. It takes as much time as downloading the program. They could have done it at any internet café in like 15 minutes.
Remember when Harrow said Ammit's own avatar betrayed her so it's implying that Alexander the Great's empire was because of her and he betrayed her
It’s important to note that a person with D.I.D doesn’t have a “real” identity, all 3 people(Marc, Steven, mystery man) are real people but in one body. They are called Alters as in alternates
Well they ask who was born and had parents to name him.
As of now Marc seems the likely choice, or maybe the third alternate was the first one and Marc and Steven were born from him. Alternates start after certain traumatic events or come out for other reasons.
Wrong. There is only one person. It's Marc.
@@alphanerd7221 your mother wishes everyday that she swallowed instead
@@kay-jay1581 none was born first the alters don’t manifest they split off from eachother so every single one was technically “first”
Reminds me of The Darkness whenever Jackie was near death. His mind would do something similar while he heals
Ammit is a crocodile lady, my G, they already said that.
Ammit is crocodile not a Hippo you can see on the doll statue ammit has a long mouth similar to crocodile, also the cane or staff that Harrow hold, has a double crocodile head on it.
Ammit has crocodile head, lion's torso and hippos feet. Maybe that's why they're confused
girl your hair is so beautiful😍😍😍
Come ON!!! "Belay that order!" Surely we remember "Jean Luc" saying that... at LEAST once.
Taweret hippo goddess at the ending, Marc is the main person whose alters are Steven(smart one) and Jake (cab driver)
How would they have downloaded an app for astronomy in the desert? It’s not like they knew they’d be needing to use something that technical beforehand.
Yes, Layla did have a tablet that she was using at the time.
They would have downloaded the app just like how they used GPS…..with cell phone service….
Once I saw lupa jump rewind I knew that cave was gonna scare the shit outta him💀💀
Ammit is a crocodile not a hippo...Clapped in the comments.
She pulled out the flare like the car was a t-rex
I'm loving Sheera's new hair. My favorite of what we've got so far
Ammit has a crocodile head, not a hippo head. If you go back to episode 1, during the scene where Steven is doing museum inventory with his boss, he mentions the hippo goddess is Taweret.
We all thought Wandavision and Loki were mindfucks, nah Marvel been holdin back for Moon Knight
Wow, that was a full-on Dino screech.
13:47 Your editor is the best LOL
Steve Rogers' (Cap) full name is Steven Grant Rogers, so maybe that's where he got his name from?
Like Marc read his full name somewhere and connects it to his image of a good person or something like that and subconsciously choose that name for Steven 'cause of that.
Show makes constant references throughout the episodes that Ammit is a "crocodile lady".
Hippo shows up.
"Yo is that Ammit?"
Ammit is a crocodile, not a hippo. Also she's evil. Hippo girl is Tawaret, goddess of fertility and childbirth.
Lol I don’t know why but I laughed way to hard at “that’s the wrong way” and that punch in on Roshi 😂😂😂
this was an amazing episode dude I fucking loved it
"belay" is the difference between descending a rope and falling down a hole while holding a rope.
My best guess is that Marc and Steven are in a kind of limbo/bead state with other banished gods like what Newrockstars said
OMFG sheera that hair looks FIRE
Ammit is the crocodile lady. The hippo lady at the end is Taweret.
the way sheera said 'you fell with him' at 10:26 was so cute
The best line of the episode: "Hi!"
Ammit is depicted as a crocodile not a hippo. Plus i think that Steven was created as a cover originally to get inside the museum to find clues as to where Ammit tomb is or something like that. Because he has no real history other than the museum where he worked at
11:43 "See i was close it was just the other End"
Yeah Sheera?
First and foremost, y’all just received another subscriber. Your guys reacting got me laughing hard; especially the jump scare 🤣 but anyways, keep the reactions coming. It’s awesome 💯🤙🏽
Sheera in the beginning of this reaction was charging the Sheerigan 🤣🤣 very effective
They teased Jake there ( the one who was in the end of episode 2 and fought in the first half) hope they'll reveal him soon.
Amet is a croc not a hippo, the hippo one starts with a T and is in charge of "rebirth"
The two missing gods that havent at any point been mentioned in the show thus far are Bastet, a black cat (see GIANT ASS PANTHER STATUE IN WAKANDA) whom i believe was in charge of knowledge, and Anubis, the Jackal, god of death (bit of a stretch, but, since Deadpool has literally flirted with the physical embodiment of death throughout his comics, could be a way to tie that in to the MCU)
I was gonna sleep since it's like 12:45 AM, but nah I gotta get into this first! You guys are the best lol
Same
All his personalities ARE real people believe it or not, the brain can create one when distressed to handle certain things or situations the other alter cant, aka Steven who knows his history but a lot of his life is restricted aka only leaving messages to his mom but he has a job which he could have gotten after he was created fully grown in the system (mind) and Marc being the main cause he was going thru adventures and Jake being the one who likes going on killing sprees in the most heated times.
Real people have their own brain.
