what really shows Strange's power is he clapped a universe AND survived the subsequent clapping. He fr used magic to contain a little chunk of reality in that tiny ass bubble.
This episode gave more insight into why Strange is helping Peter in NWH despite Wong's warning. "This is our arrogance, this is our need to fix everything!"
And like he said they saved half the universe together. Also a revealed identity is pretty detrimental to their family and friends lives and obv themself.
That's twice we've seen that tentacle monster, I really hope Shuma Gorath does make a fully fledged appearance in the MCU (He's essentially Marvel's version of Cthulhu, even Dormammu respects him and he's arguably the most powerful magical being in the multiverse). Also all his appearances are just avatars/proxies of his true cosmic horror form which can end all of existence with his mere aura.
What truly broke me was the realisation that Strange never stopped trying to be a hero, misguided really is the best word. He truly believed that saving Christine was the right thing to do, no matter the cost, that her inevitable death was WRONG. The second he realises what he's done he begs the Watcher, not for forgiveness or his own life, but everyone else's. He immediately understands the gravity and futility of what he's done at the exact same time he realises its too late... and there's nothing he can do. Hearing Strange apologise to the void he created endlessly for his actions hurts my soul: you can tell he truly means it from the bottom of his broken heart.
So I’m pretty sure he turned himself into an infinity stone, specifically a power stone. In the MCU the stones are burn from the death of a universe. Also the Watcher is the original reactor. He has more views than anyone too I bet lol.
I read this on another comment, but what Strange is doing with Christine being unable to let go, is what he did with Dormamu. He’s suffering and looping back over and over and over again until things work out for the better. He has incredible conviction and patience. Unfortunately it won’t ever be enough to save Christine.
14:55 I guess in stories that have a multiverse, like Marvel or Dc as stories, everything can be canon, from the "main avengers story" to the silly cartoon versions of them. Even different adaptations of the same storyline, like the animated "ultimate spiderman" is as canon as the comic "ultimate spiderman", it could just be considered a different universe.
4:08 The show you want is pushing up daisys, the MC can bring anyone back to life but if its for longer than a minute someone random dies and the resurrected person just continues to live. it was a good show from what i can remember.
This episode literally explains how The Watcher personality really is. He sounds sad when he’s watching this because he know he has the power to do something about it but like Roshi said. This man job is just to react and that’s it lol
Doctor Strange went through the time honoured tradition of using magic for personal gain will ALWAYS lead to consequences. It's one thing to see a Hero lose, it's another thing entirely to see them become their own worst enemy, turn into a monster and by the time they realise their mistakes as well as show true remorse, it's already too late... :/
For Roshi: so apparently the watchers are powerful beings that watch a universe and just love knowledge, until one watcher tried interfering to help but made things very worse some how and clapped a universe, so now because that one watcher interfering they don’t and can’t do that anymore they just watch.
What's funny is the Watcher says he can't intervein or he won't, but he is all the time. Just by watching. It's called "The Observers Effect", if something or someone feels like there being watched they will act differently. And Strange literally felt it in this episode, so Watcher already messed up.

The Watchers are a race where each watcher is in charge of a different sector. Uatu which is our watcher is in charge of the MCU. Yo pay attention to the watcher, he becomes more visible in each episode, and you see him interact with Dr strange here. What Disney did was they tried to attract more viewers to the show, so they pushed this episode earlier, and thats why the Watcher is more relevant.
Each episode it seems as though the watcher is getting more tangible and colored, In the begging game he was just a shadow and he slowly has gotten more color and even come out of the shadows in this universe, Maybe the season finally will be him finally intervening

i always like to think of this Strange's attempts at fixing he's time line with Christine like a river. he came from this "lake" that is the universe, like many others, and went down the same river, but like all different universe, there are multiple rivers and streams he could have gone down. him losing Christine was meant to be one big river but he kept swimming back up and digging a new stream and when things didn't go right, he swam back up and tried again till, at the very end, was trapped inside a creek receiving no water and no way out. although, it is possible he could be "fished out" of that little pool he created.

Dragonball is the only time I can think of where you bring good people back to life without ruining reality. Also Clannad, weirdly enough.
Clannad? I haven't watched that in like 10 years. I don't think I finished the second season. But what is this about bringing someone back to life??
@@UsrNmTkn It seems like you havent experienced true pain yet...
@@iRobins. I definitely remember the show being very sad. And crying a few times. But now I'm kinda scared to rewatch it. I vividly remember how a little girl with wooden stars made me so sad and I have no idea why.
Fun fact: Initially the watchers did try to help worlds and universes , but because those worlds would end up advancing so much that they ended up destroying their own worlds they decided it was best to just sit back and observe, ie Watch. The Watchers are a race where each watcher is in charge of a different sector. Uatu which is our watcher is in charge of the MCU. I might have gotten some things wrong but that's generally what happened and what's happening.
Yo pay attention to the watcher, he becomes more visible in each episode, and you see him interact with Dr strange here. What Disney did was they tried to attract more viewers to the show, so they pushed this episode earlier, and thats why the Watcher is more relevant.
I'm calling it now, that time he absorbed the goat was when he turned into MCU Mephisto
Had to do a catch up on what if now I'm binge watching your reacrions.
These dark episodes.. We need more
😂😭
Strange: Yo i fucked up, give me a hand will you.
The Watcher: Hmmm, sounds like a *you* problem lmao.
Each episode it seems as though the watcher is getting more tangible and colored,
In the begging game he was just a shadow and he slowly has gotten more color and even come out of the shadows in this universe,
Maybe the season finally will be him finally intervening
9:55 "With great power, comes irresponsibly"
-Deadpool
Pretty much lol
If he saves her, he won't become sorcerer supreme and won't gain the power to manipulate time in the first place. Saving her creates a paradox that would cause him to fail to save the he universe.
cumberbatch is phenomenal. ever since he played smaug, his voice acting skills has gone through the roof
Loving these reactions. Keep it up guys 💪
Gross? Disgusting? The hell you saying about Strange Supreme? He looks awesome!
There's a RUclips channel called film theorists and they did a theory on why Ant-Man and his technology wouldn't work against Thanos by getting inside of him and expanding or even expanding his organs because Titan Biology is different then Hulk's Biology
My favorite episode! “Dr. Strange and the Multiverse of Sadness”
“Has there ever been a movie or show where somebody brought somebody back from the dead and it was good?” So we just gonna forget about a certain anime with a certain blue protagonist? 👀
The watcher is basically a cosmic reaction channel lol. Thats craaaaaaazy!
The Watcher is just a YT/Twitch Reactor on a try not to laugh/cry or scream challenge for the past billions of years and timelines and still winning. 🤣
Stephen strange: PLEASE HELP ME I WAS WRONG!
The Watcher: Damn! that's rough buddy.
Honestly my favorite episode and I'm just to empathetic lmao cause damn dude like I mean I get it from his perspective but dude why couldn't you listen and his sorries at the end just get me like Benedict Cumberbatch did an amazing job he's so good with the emotions and I start to feel so bad for him.
Still one of the darkest/saddest endings I've seen in fiction, imprisoned alone in an eternal void of nonexistence that used to be your Universe which you eviscerated...
Dang cj dachamp was right truck kuns divine wrath knows no bounds
😭 the fact he can turn this sad episode into a joke had me rolling every second
he really became Doctor "Strange" smh
GUYS glad you noticed the tentacle monster making another appearance, it's not cthullu, but it's shuma gorath from MvC, he's from a group called "the many angled ones" and they're cthullu type monsters that live between realities, i have a theory that with this 2nd spotting, we may see shuma gorath in the multiverse of madness movie, people are fucking with the multiverse and possibly shuma gorath is finding more and more ways to sneak into reality
Imagine how powerful he had to be to see the watcher.
(Edit) technically we have already seen the watcher it was one of the stan lee cameos
Plot twist: the Watcher *HAS* been in all of the movies so far
Not to be weird but I feel yall like family 4real love your content and will support 4ever. Continue to be original tell the truth. My favorite is young justice, suicide squad and the what if? Salute Kings and Queen
Dr. Strange: You’re a god. You can fix this!
The Watcher: Thats TUFF!🤷🏾♂️
I wonder, when Steven did this 14 MILLION times in Infinity War, how many hundreds of thousands of retakes it take for him to realize he couldn't do anything to stop Thanos? I wonder if he LIVED those five years, looking for a Plan B... I wonder how many times he lived those five years. I wonder if he watched Steve, Natasha, Tony, and Bruce in his astral projection form to struggle to go on... All to FIX what Thanos did...
The Watcher: "damn, good luck tho"
The watcher is us. He watches movies and videos and enjoy the entertainment. He eats popcorn and Cheez - Its and chill. he watches the same episode as we did.
You guys always make my days, from FL Kissimmee 💯
The discussion in the beginning KILLS me!! 😂😂
Guys , these are fully cannon there just different universes
Not only marvel gave us epic episodes but it gave us life lessons too..
Clicked on video, immediately pull it forward, heard Yoshi saying " It's better to just go through the yams".
WTF hat\d to watch it from the beginning. Lollololol
Dang. The Watcher is literally the universe's first Let's React celeb.
The Watcher : "That's tuff g"
I can imagine Peter with the new passport going “Peter? I’m Benjamin Reilly”
i always like to think of this Strange's attempts at fixing he's time line with Christine like a river. he came from this "lake" that is the universe, like many others, and went down the same river, but like all different universe, there are multiple rivers and streams he could have gone down. him losing Christine was meant to be one big river but he kept swimming back up and digging a new stream and when things didn't go right, he swam back up and tried again till, at the very end, was trapped inside a creek receiving no water and no way out.
although, it is possible he could be "fished out" of that little pool he created.
