Bout to sponge it up! So insightful and inspiring! Check out my improvised drum and MC work while my buddy plays bass! Keep in mind we don't write songs, we just play them.
He's still killin' the music while his former partner in rhyme is killin' the film industry and has a hit show out on Fox that was put together by Tyrin Turner (Menace II Society) and Jamie Foxx.
Al a beast for rocking 16 chops on the ASR 10 without a choke group or mono mode. I could never get myself to use more than 3 or 4 chops on the keys. The MPC spoiled me with that capability once I graduated to one. I love my ASR 10 though.
Oldskool forever baby 🎉 I do my best to recreate the vibes with what I have, much like how the artists back in the day were doing the same thing. There’s so many tools we can use, but I’m almost 100% stock logic ,and use a ton of the legacy sounds. That, and some good ol sampling 🎉
This has always been my favorite unreleased Nas song of all time..... Blessings alchemist if I can get a whole album that sounds just like this from you and Nas it will change my life forever. Bless ui brotha
Crazy thing and I literally just found out myself 10 mins prior to seeing your post is the song isn't unreleased. It's on Alchemist's "The Cutting Room Floor 2" album 8.2.2024 est@1327hrs NYC
@@mic9check i knew exactly what i was buying thank you very much. Very happy with it, currently exploring the transwaves you can make with it. Sounds excellent just as a synth! Effects are awesome. Alchemist is the KING of "underground" East Coast beats. I don't think anyone else chops samples as good as this dude does. He's the CHAMPION - the GOAT🐐🥇🏅
It took 2 days for my asr to come back after jumpstarting that just the other. Day it’s ok now it hadn’t been on for a few months so it needed exercise
I wish Alc went into the origins of this song since it didn't make any album. It was definitely album material. I kinda wish we were getting Nas +Alchemist instead of Nas+Premo at this point in time.
Evidence is definitely team Ensoniq along with Joey Chavez, RZA, True Master, Bronze Nazareth, Prince Paul, Jake One, Kanye West, El-P, Blockhead and MYSELF amongst a few others.
Mistakes are what makes humans' music beautiful. I don't want perfection in music (same as a good woman). I want to love the flaws. Similarly, I want my guitars to be worn down in the places that weren't done by a relic specialist in the factory; And my jeans' holes to tell the stories they were torn from. These artists are the relics. Ppl say that (insert genre here) is dead, but when is the last time you peeped the scene? When AL was talkin about slowing down the keystrokes to swing the beat the way he wanted, thats the stuff that seperates us from them. I joke with my bass player all the time that we are only ever out of tune with each other when we stop playing! So my prophetic pathetic ass sees real MF will be pitted against the computers, and thats when we will bust out the schwifty style music that resonates with all heartbeats, and is simply just an expression of presence in the moment! Long live the groove
4 tracks…..let that sink in…..4 tracks! This beat wasn’t even properly tracked out most likely 😆 All these years of my own productions I have heard about how important it is to have everything on its own track. I guess not lol. A great beat can stand on its own obviously.
Working on a theory that the reason all hip hop snares have that crack comes from hip hop heads school days mc’ing while there mate bangs out a beat on the desk with a ruler playing the snare 🤔
I've been making music for many years, so i gotta say, I don't know exactly when he started, but I know a couple of the earliest records he did, and I read he went to NYU to learn recording (possibly), but what I appreciate about his talk is a couple of things. 1- he's an established hiphop producer, yet he doesn't seem to be acting like a $#!@ , he seems more humble and cool to offer advice on producing. 2- he doesn't talk like a hood, hardrock, thug or whatever but More professional and better educated. Sincere thanks
I don't know how old you are, but old people love ignoring the content of the video to focus on random stuff like "thugs" and "hood rats" and I guess most established "hip-hop" producers are "shits" or whatever you censored. It's not even that you comment is "racist" it's just randomly skewed negative for no reason with an emphasis on black people in just a general sense? Like, you make it sound like a common occurrence, you didn't even mention the track or the techniques. This is what I'm getting from your message "This very casual white dude who is speaking completely normally is way better than those usual hip-hop hood rats thugs" he isn't even being super professional he sounds relaxed that's why your comment is so weird, it's like your perception is skewed or something

The King of Sampling 🔥
FACTS!!! A dope producer 👊🏿
@@AulartI don't know about that. Alchemist is definitely dope, but the king of sampling (imo) would be Premier or Dilla.
