- Honestly I did not know they would keep The Flash’s trailer variant for this logo… or logos. So yeah, the Warner Bros Pictures new logo variant was released alongside the movie The Flash (2023). And sadly, it is not like the concept logos we’ve originally thought it will be. Instead, the variant depicts the original logos passing through to the WBD logo, the same applies to the DC Comics one… yet they didn’t put the 2019 Pentagram shield in the logo.
Hopefully in future releases we will see a standard variant that we might predict since the new logo was unveiled (yes I know my WB100 variant from November was dated due to the possible rebranding of the Pentagram shield retiring - so what, it’s what we’ve had at the time)

I like how they make the evolution to these WB/DC logos in the openings.
Probs because of WB's 100th anniversary but that's my guess.

It both fits perfectly with the multiverse style element of The Flash AND it works SO well as a celebration of the studio’s 100th anniversary!
What’s missing is the 2012 DC logo
I honestly geeked out at the logos of WB and DC Comics, it's a wonderful way to celebrate how far they've come.
Did you notice that they lefted out the 2021 WB version and the 2013 DC Version?

this is a special logo exclusive to the flash, which deals with the multiverse, so they brought the various logos from both studios as if each one belonged to a different universe
False, if you refer to the WB. This is the official on-screen debut of the new logo (albeit as a variant) as part of 100th anniversary. Maybe we will only wait the standard version of the new logo to be debuted and used for future Warner Bros. films. I expected the new intro be similar to WB100 sizzle reel.
I'm more inclined to believe it's because of the time travel elements personally
@Yvngremixer605 While the flash film tells about multiverse, this WB new logo does not exclusive for The Flash, as it featuring the first appearance of that new logo with WBD shield, also appeared at Dune Part Two, Blue Beetle, and many WB Television Production shows they co-produced. You sadly don't understand about the appearance of the new logo at another film and tv productions.
So, i have question for you, are you like the 2019 pentagram shield logo or this new cg&h shield logo? I would like this new logo more because it use the classic shield resemblance of the 1948 logo while kept the spirit of Pentagram shield logo alive by not including the banner.

It was such an awesome varient! And about time, the new WB shield made its debut in the film! Even though they kept the current blue logo for the closing sequence.
Basically,they skipped some WB/DC logo,but this one is a wild evolution ride to 100 years of WB and near-80 years of DC.
The play on the Logos Through Time concept is clever, I guess.

0:17 is not the regular 1953-2019 shield, but rather as Looney Tunes WB shield, because i believe Looney tunes-style shield appeared at the film. I would want Looney Tunes shield to be appeared at Coyote vs acme in style of new WB Pictures Animation.
That 2nd to last WB logo was there since 1984 (or some time further back)
The 1998/2000 shield is 🎉back🎉.

They are celebrating their centennial. Considering this is a film-only variant and not the standard version of the new logo, it wasn’t shown intentionally.

However, due to fact that release year of the film coincides with WB 100th anniversary and Zaslav want to promote the new WB logo as part of its centennial, the director of the film replaced the 2019 logo with the CG&H-made shield, with 2019 shield kept as the closing logo. The new shield seen at The Flash will be the blueprint about how they would made the standard version of the new logo. In other words, they will show the new WB logo for the public once the flash premiers, although already appeared at CG&H WB sizzle reel.

Easy for you to say, I thought it would show the WB 100 Years logo after the post-credit scene.
This is not a new or permanent logo...
Its just used for the film to showcase the multiverse thing of the film
This is the new corporate logo i believe, if you talking about Warner Bros. (albeit as a variant for The Flash) They already confirmed the presence of the new logo at CG&H sizzle reel about the new logo, also their usage on their printing and corporate purpose. Even WB Pictures Animation use the new WBD logo albeit with cartoony variant. Blue Beetle and Dune Part Two also use the new logo at the trailer.
The only thing we expected is the standard version of the new intro with CG&H Shield. However, unlike Disney which showcasing the new logo during D23 Expo, WB doesn't tell us about the appearance of the new logo in a film.
I was amused that the "DC Peel" logo didn't make the cut.

i has surprised from the releasing of the new WB logo.
I was right. The WBD shield debuted in The Flash.
I’m still waiting for the new official fanfare WB logo with golden 🛡️ and normal variant, along with new line cinema logo sometime next year.

The reason why this wasn’t shown was because it is a variant and not the new standard logo (which we have to wait until it debuts)

On the watertower will be the WB shield 2023 and WB shield 2021 by the clouds.

I was bummed they left out the 2019 shield and the 2012 DC Comics logo.
If you refer the 2012 DC Comics logo, yes, that's nowhere found at the opening or closing. However, the 2019 shield was spotted at the end of the film, giving the transitional phase between the 2019 Pentagram shield and 2022 CG&H shield.
I think this is how WB introduce the new CG&H shield logo to the public, in preparation of the standard new on-screen logo based of the CG&H shield that would soon debut for the future WB films.
I think the 2012 DC logo was left out because it doesn't fit the mold of the others (DC inside of a circle). It's such a radically different and weird logo that it doesn't flow with the others. You could say the same about the Saul Bass Warner logo, but that logo is iconic and loved in a way the 2012 DC logo wasn't.

Why do David Zaslav and the others at Discovery seem to hate the well-intentioned 2019 rebrand of WB
It’s literally gone to the point where they got the crew that made the Discovery+ logo to make a new logo that resembles the pre-2019 shield more than the 2019 shield for some reason (at least the letters are still balanced and there’s no banner, making it easier to comprehend and such)
@@aidanmallon9879 Not only just Zaslav and others, consumers mostly disliked the 2019 WB logo mainly because they forgot the legacy of the film studios and its heritage, instead WB unveiled the blue-white shield that color too similar to facebook and many multinational company. The other word is when they watching a Warner Bros. film, a thing that audience mind is a 3D shield with color blue and gold.

No, for the new WB logo. The appearance of the WBD shield as the new logo are the first on-screen debut. However, unlike Disney which unveiled its new standard on-screen logo publicly during D23 Expo, WB doesn't tell us know when the new standard on-screen logo using the WBD might be appeared.

Such a travesty that their new logo opened with a flop. But then again, they deserved it😊
I wish DC stuck to one opening sequence for all their movies. Some of the small things that I wish they were consistent with. I didnt like how they did it. They could have done the timeline thing for WB, then gone with the standard DC opening.

Yes, that's the regular 2021 logo with Pentagram shield. I suspected they did not yet introduce the new standard logo with CG&H shield, so they make the flash movie as a debut of the new WB logo to the public (albeit as a variant) in preparation of the new standard on-screen logo (with the standard Warner Bros. Discovery byline written in Geograph Medium font).
@@ians4535 Yeah, the standard version of the new 2023 Warner Bros. Pictures on-screen logo is not yet ready for unveiling. We're currently in a transitional period, in which the 2019 Pentagram shield is still being used in tandem with the new 2022 CG&H shield.

That's weird when I went to see the movie the Universal intro came out and I was like "WTF? What is Universal doing in a DC movie?"
Where do you live? In Australia or in Hong Kong? That's because Universal holds theatrical distribution of WB films since 2 years ago.

In the title of this video, it is actually the Warner Bros. Pictures logo.
This is essentially the new logo of Warner Bros. Entertainment as whole, which uses the Warner Bros. Discovery shield that very remiscent to the 1948 WB logo. This is kinda like how Comcast logo used the NBC peacock.
