neat job mate, well done!😎😎
Tidy job that mate, fair play for filming underneath while installing the profile, it’s usually a pain just installing rather than filming as well 👌🏻👍🏻
Thanks mate yeah not the easiest, thanks for watching 👍
@@essexcountyelectricalltd Did it well fella, fair play 👏🏻
@@JayTheSparky 👍
Thanks for the video! It would have been great to see how you did the 90 degree turn and some commentary on how you connect the separate pieces of the strip
Thanks for watching and the feedback I'll bear that in mind for the next one.
I agree - come to the comments for the exact same information to see if I could find out. The 90 degree bend and the final wiring (not the connections). Other than that, the lighting looks very nice indeed.
For this strip just put a small kink in it to flat bend 90. There is probably some better alternatives on the market now to make to bend I filmed this a long while ago now. Thanks for watching
Nicd video mate. Did you connect a twin amd earth to the driver as an input? If so, do you just isolate the earth with a connector block?
Nice install, how did do the led on the mitre, what make profiles??
Thanks Michael, I cut the mitre using a set square and grinder. The profile was from cosmoelectrical.com 👍. Thanks for watching
looks amazing. can i connect the drivers to fused spurs? and if so what amperage?
Hi, I don't see why not put a 1A fuse on it
Watched you cutting the mitres, I meant did you fold or join led tape in the mitres??
Hi Michael, sorry i thought you meant the profile.. The tape is just raised where it is bent round corner like a fold but the tape isn't folded, the internal sticks up a little to get the radius. I have cut and soldered an link before around the bend. Both ways have pro's and cons ideal world cut and solder would be the prefered choice but not always practical on all jobs.
Can you fit the driver underneath the cabinet next to the leds?
Yes you can dependant on driver. It worked better for me doing this way
Hey, what's that white box where the two live feeds go into please (seen at 5:12 - not the LED driver) - Just trying to do some research for my home project
Hi, it's a Hager J501 junction box. Normally used for down light joints, but it's universal but only rated to 10A I think.
@@essexcountyelectricalltd thanks :)
Hi mate how do you get from one wall unit to the other?
Hi, you have to put the cable in on 1st fix. I chased all the sockets and switches in and pulled this in to link them
This may sound a stupid question but what did you pull the draw wires up to was there a drive ontop or was that just the tails from the driver to connector block to, im an apprentice and havent dont led strip before
Hi James, Ok so there's 2 ways i would normally do this. One would be to wire a switch line to above the wall unit which is normally preferred keeping things off the floor, or to wire it below around the plinth. I had wired the kitchen in 2" trunking low level on the wall chasing up to sockets etc. The cable i used as a draw wire was installed when i 1st fixed, i chased a piece of oval conduit in the wall stopping it just above the bottom of the wall unit. This way i can pull the led strip 12v cable down to driver position. Hope that helps mate.
@@essexcountyelectricalltd ahhh yes thats makes sense i actually missed the part where you crimped the 12v cable was just confused thinking the draw wire went up😂👍🏼
@@jamesallen8115 I only crimped the LED strip cable as the driver was pre wired, normally drivers aren't so can connect straight in.
@@essexcountyelectricalltd yeah i thought that was a bit strange off what ive seen before on youtube but cant be helped then i guess the two wires coming out were just loop in and out?
@@jamesallen8115 That's it mate, switch loop to all three positions
God the music 😖
Thanks for listening
@@essexcountyelectricalltd the music is fine but the volume is wrong. Can barely hear you speak so turn the sound up then get deafened by the sound effects and backing track.
