  • How much visible is the stitching line in GoPro Max 360 video ? Is it a big problem and does it affect GoPro Max video quality ? Lets find out.
    Since GoPro max is a 360 degree camera it uses two lenses to record a 180 degree field of view from both of its lenses and then its simply stitches it to combine 360 degree videou out of it. However, the weakest spot for this camera as any other spherical camera is the area between the lenses on the edge of the camera as well as on the bottom can have some visible distortions as this is where the stitching happens.
    This is why its so importantl to always remember to record yourself with a lens facing you or the object that you are trying to record as its the most important part of your video. You dont want to ruin your footage because it distorted in some way by the stitching.
    I dont know how about other 360 camera but what i noticed is that GoPro Max stitch line can be quite noticable, of course on the edges but also at the bottom of the camera where you hold a selfie stick. Perhaps in my case its due to the fact that my selfie stick gopro adapter isnt 100% centered along the rest of the selfie stick and its a bit sticking off the centre. So the stick isnt masked perfectly I will have to invest in something better in the future.

    Hi all, I have an insta 360 invisible selfie stick and a mount joby pin joint for gopro.
    The camera is pointed directly at me and I still observe the problem of the stitching line as in the video, for example, by the author at minute 2:54. How to solve this problem?

    When you observed the stitch lines, were you using a particular media player? If you are previewing the media through the GoPro App, importing the file to the app and rendering it will clear the issue.

    My first GP max had no really issues with the stitching line. That camera has since been broken and replaced and the replacement has a very rough stitching line regardless of distance from what I'm shooting. It picks up the stick sometimes and the screw that holds it to the mount itself. No matter what I do, I can't seem to correct the issue. Any ideas??

      Umm maybe i should also replace my max then cause i vlcan see it clearly :/

      I’m in the same boat. My original MAX worked flawlessly, I broke a lens and the replacement they sent me has this stitching issue under the same exact conditions. Did you figure out your issue? Thinking of asking for another replacement.

      That stitxhing line is quite annoying on the max you really have to learn how tonposition your camera and even then plenty of times it can get in the way

    Well how do you get rid of the wavy points in the video?

    • @Tomasz.Nowacki
      @Tomasz.Nowacki  8 месяцев назад +1

      Wavy points ? Not that long ago i discovered its so much easier the edit your footage if u disable world lock , u dont have to bother about your camera angle stubornly looking at one place butninstead it follows the camera lens where it was pointed

    • @tnflygirl
      @tnflygirl 8 месяцев назад

      Yes at the stitching line there is movement. Like the ground is moving. I can’t figure out how to get it off. I thought about returning the camera but they may all be this way. Ugh

    • @Tomasz.Nowacki
      @Tomasz.Nowacki  8 месяцев назад +1

      U just need to always record with one of your lens focused on your subject , u should never have sideway of yoyr camera recording sth because of that stitxhing line
      I personally use protective bubbles with my max to pritect the lenses so tge stiching line is more visible but some people say its less visible without it

    • @tnflygirl
      @tnflygirl 8 месяцев назад

      I’ll try the bubbles. One thing that just hit me was maybe I’m recording on the wrong settings? I’m using it on the tail of my airplane so I’m flying 150 mph . Any setting suggestions?

    You're using the acrylic lens protectors on your GoPro Max in this review. They already lower the video and stitch quality substantially.
    This is an inaccurate video review.

      Even though it records 5.7 k (6k) resolution its divided into 2 lenses so its not real 5.7k its more.like 2.7k for individual lens. It doesnt help that after you render yoyr footage you can ezport it into true 1080p or upscaled 4k
