- How to edit 360 video in GoPro app on mobile phone ? GoPro Max Reframe allows you to adjust your camera angle and set your keyframes, look for unique perspective after you get the shot.
It's really creative way of shooting a video because you dont have to worry about perfect composition or whether you are in the frame as it records everything around you. So if you don't know how to edit gopro max video this tutorial should help you out. Currently there are two ways you can edit your 360 video from gopro max, you can either use GoPro Quick app on your mobile phone or you can use GoPro Player on Windows / Mac.
I honestly prefer to edit my short clip vidoes on quik app as the whole process is quite intiuitve and easy to use but also editing 5k video currently on windows is really hard as GoPro player doesnt support proxies or low resolution playback. On the other hand its not a problem to edit on a phone so.... i guess i dont have much choice then.

At this stage you need to decide what aspect ratio you would like to export your video in. For example a 16:9 aspect ratio gonna be good for any typical video that we see on television on youtube but if you want to share your video to social media such as instagram stories or facebook stories its better to use 9:16 aspect ratio.
Creating a keyframe is crucial in this process as once you set your camera angle and adjust your frame you need to save it somehow this is where a keyframe comes in so the app gonna remember where to move the camera orientation in your timeline. Now depending on how far one keyframe is from one another the transition gonna vary, for example if its gonna be very close the whole transition gonna happen very fast and if its quite far away it gonna take much longer time. I honestly find it quite interesting to make very fast transitions but practice it yourself and see what works for your the best.
After you selected your keyframes, you can use the scisors icon to trim your 360 video to a shorter length so you dont have to export the whole thing but only the part that interests you. Dont forget to save your video edit before you quit as it happens quite often that once you watch your entire video there is this thing or camera angle you would like to correct so instead of editing it all over again its better to save it. From there you can share either directly to social media or save the video to your phone (gallery)

Nice clear tuto. We can see that the image is jerky while mounting. I think it because of Android OS. I haven't this issue with my iPhone but yes with my android phone and also the same issue with the Gopro player for windows.
On iPhone I’m not able to get the “move key frame” option for a quicker transition.

@@Tomasz.Nowacki in that video you had a double camera rig… was that a MAX and a Hero9 together? I like the MAX on the front mount of my kayak, so I can use it for shots zooming into the fish as it is hooked out front of the boat. But I prefer the Hero9 in a higher resolution so I can use it to extract stills of me holding fish to use for social media promotion. I’ve been switching back and forth between the camera, enjoying the benefits of each, and disliking the drawbacks. Your rig looks like a great solution! But does the camera on the side really not show in the 360 shots? Do you use external power on your 360, and if so, how do you keep the cord out of the frame? Thanks for any info!

U fortunayely i dont think GoPro fusion has any support in Quick app , you could try to connect it but i think it has to done in fusion studio

is there any way to chop parts of the video out in the quik app? Like if you were in Final cut? I have an 8 minute video I would like to chop it down. I thought the scissors would let me do that
Once you edit your 360 video into a normal hd video, you can trim that clip in gopro app or any other
But you can also cut the smaller portion of the video while previeing your 360 video on gopro app i think you could do it straight from the camera before importing in the app

Now is only available go pro quick app and that didn't work well. Some of the key frames didn't work when saved to phone after creating key frame, also video didn't came as a 16:9 ratio too.

When I add keyframes the app only outputs 180 videos. I loose the ability to save it in 360
I think its because u added keyframes :) if you want to export as 360 u dont enter keyframing process but straight export your video

U can add music later one once you finish reframing process and edit a normal 16:9 video

You ahould be able to acces the files from your phone within the app, go to media page and look for Tablet page perhaps there ???
Anyone having issues with the editing video freezing and audio Continue... And no longer able to continue the editing process?
Its perhaps a bad firmware of the app it should be fixed with a new firmware every now and tben they mske some new bugs fixing old ones

I can't find the reframe feature. when I click on a video there's just a play button but no reframe option
Hmm are u sure it was shot in 360 mode ?
You have to make sure it’s not in the cloud and that you save it to the app first
does this app work with fusion 360 camera
Im not sute cause fusion needed their footage to be stitched to create a 360 video while max doesmit already in the camera

Better than most. Your are going slow when needed and not wasting time on general philosophy.
But it seems we can now do some editing before downloading to the phone at least take out non necessary parts.
These videos are so big that the phon will be fulle very quickly.

Were you able to you use it on your Galaxy a71? I'm using Galaxy a30 but the reframe (360 clips) feature doesn't work on this phone. Now I'm looking for a phone that allows me to edit those 360 clips.

Renders from.max are natively in 1080p on desktop app u can upscale it to 4k but still its not true 4k, i personally loved taking photos with Max and do my videos on the phone as editing 5k footage with their software is tko much for my co.mputer to handle

U mean purely on your phone yes ??? Perhaps reintall the app or wait gir a new update for the app they quite often have dome bugs every now and then also check if your phone is good enough to edit gopro max footage
My phone was working to do that.. after quick update the apss then getting stuck. My phone with 128gb/ 6gb ram
@@rickyprasetya983 it must a a firmware bug of the app soon they should fix this i had this like 2 times with my max they fix sth or improve and unintentionally break sth ^^
I have to modify my comment. The video is very well done, but when I use my Samsun S10 with the new SW reveision everything has changed, so the video is useless.
I would need a factual no-nonsence, for dummies video with the new SW version.
For dummies doesn't mean we need cold talk or coffee breaks. It means we need not to jump over small steps like which button to use etc.
Ohhh its a shame the video is out of date now :/ currently cant reshoot it , perhaps when Max 2 comes out I will cover it in details again :)
