    I have a 2019 RGS. I installed the OEM Torque Cam because of the warranty. Tuned it on the dyno, and the result is 94 HP at the Wheel and 155 NM at the Wheel.
    Love the bike, im from germany and here the bike costs about 28.000€
    Added the fang spoilers and wrapped front fender,.... best bike i ever had.
    Suspension-wise i will change to Wilbers in the winter.

    Below are the specifications for the new engines:
    ENGINE 107
    Bore 3.937 in.

    ENGINE 114:
    Bore 4 in.

      Ok...

    • @MeathedMoto
      @MeathedMoto  4 года назад

      I think I get why you posted this. I believe in my video I said something along the lines of the 107 spooling up faster to redline than the 114s. These specs say the same thing because the diameter of the pistons in the 114s is not only larger but it has to travel a longer distance so it feels slower in the bottom end.

    • @TeensierPython
      @TeensierPython 4 года назад +1

      @@MeathedMoto for those that are curious what the difference is.
      I tried the 107 in a softail standard and didn’t like it. Tried the 114 in the fat bob and loved it. Was it the difference in engine? Probably not. Bought the road glide special with the 114 only because it came in the color I wanted.

    • @TeensierPython
      @TeensierPython 4 года назад +1

      @@MeathedMoto I agree the 107 would be “snappier” and rotate quicker. With both less mass and less stroke.
      It was because you said something about the only difference was the bore size. I was curious how much different it was and saw the stroke was different. And the compression ratio is slightly different as well.
      Either way the M8 got me out of sport bikes and metrics. So good on Harley for building a motor I am extremely pleased with.

  • @smokeusmvmc8058
    @smokeusmvmc8058 2 года назад +1

    Hope you see this. You mention in the video (9:29) that the M8 is exhaust sensitive and you could get close to 110 HP just by getting a specific exhaust. Can you tell me which ones you would recommend? I just bought a used 19 RGS and really want to do a Stage 1 but want to get the best bang for the buck. I'm new to riding but I like the deep throaty sound that gets loud when you get on the wrist. Great video. Very informative. Keep up the great work. Plus one on the Sub.

    • @MeathedMoto
      @MeathedMoto  2 года назад +1

      I'm currently gonna be swapping to a Bassani Road Rage 2 mid length and will get some sound demos up for it. Most 2 into 1 exhaust that are mid length (stops under the bags) and full length will net you that 110 horsepower at the wheel with a cam upgrade. My exhaust right now with my S&S 475 cam made 106 hp on the Dyno after tuning. So my recommendation would be to look at a Bassani, Sawicki, TBR or if money is no object, HPi or SPB fab. Just to be clear, YOU WON'T GET 100+ HP WITHOUT SWAPPING CAMS. A good exhaust and tune with better intake filter or whole air cleaner will get you to about 85-90 HP depending on the climate you live in.
