Back to the recipe:- This pudding sets by the thickening action of corn flour. Depending on the sweetness of the coconut milk, you may adjust the sugar to your liking. It tastes best chilled. This recipe, being simple and easy, brings out the dreamy flavour and smooth texture of a tender coconut that everyone enjoys!
Ingredients:
2 Cups Coconut Milk from 2 Cups fresh, grated Coconut
1/4 Cup Corn Flour
1/2 Cup (+/-) Sugar
A Pinch of Salt

Great video. For people, like me, that can not tolerate flour you can substitute it with cornstarch. In Puerto Rico we call this "templeque" Grandmother used cornstarch, plus, she would sometimes add a drop of vanilla extract in the mixture, then, after it is nice and chilled she would garnish with some powdered cinammon. I do appreciate this trip down memory lane. Great day to all.

@@MrsGranpaws i havent tried it yet but when i do i will definitely post it. Im in the process of testing quite a few recipes for our cold winter here in South Africa so will test it once spring commences. Yes fruit jam is a possibility too.

Great dish and i somehow believe the coconut that was grated could be added when the stuff was boiling, it would have added something mixed texture to pudding... Yes great dish with things easily available at home

Some cardamom, cinnamon powder during the end stage of cooking would have greatly elevated the taste
Try adding some canned creamy corn.... it's enhances the pudding's flavour..... try it and do let me know if you like b'cos my family loves it
Here we have a pudding flour from Indonesia ( Hoe Kwee) and the method is the same as above but we add canned creamy corn and pandan leaves for extra flavour and aroma...

A pudding with no eggs and thickened with a large amount of corn starch will not be to people’s taste unless you were raised with it.

A recipe made for me. No eggs. Can change corn starch to WHEATEN CORNFLOUR. Same texture but finer n no allergy. Yeah 👌👌👌👌
