    Thanks so much for this vid. I almost forgot to mirror! BTW!!! In case anyone else has this problem, idk if its coz I’m using the joy, or perhaps my blade is getting dull, but i had to go over it twice to cut all the way through to the clear later which meant i wasted a good length of paper (i did fat lettering in galaxy pattern so it was just a 2 inch strip wasted) but i couldn’t get it to line up again once I’d removed the paper from my mat so i had to start over.
    Btw, your enthusiasm is so adorable. I’m subscribing just for your happy little face.

    • @MakersGonnaLearn
      @MakersGonnaLearn  4 года назад

      Thank you for your kind words! They are very different. Heat Transfer Vinyl can be cut, weeded, and applied with heat. It's a layer of material. Infusible Ink on the other hand does not transfer a material, it transfers ink. It has to be used with a larger heat press and much higher heat than HTV. Hope this helps!

      Thank you for your kind words, Heather :) Unfortunately, when it comes to Cricut Infusible Ink, you cannot use a household iron. The heating plate is not big enough, the iron does not have evenly distributed heat, and it simply cannot get hot enough to gave success with Infusible Ink.

    Before I start (and waste an infusible ink sheet) can you tell me if there is any special prep when using a new/unused Nicapa mat....do I need to do anything to lessen the grip or can I apply the ink sheet to a brand new mat without removing some of the adhesive on the mat?

    I tried infusable ink transfer paper after watching alot of "How Too's" BUT my sheets don't stay stuck to the green mat during cutting? I tried using painters tape to help. I was cutting 2 in letters out not a large image. Any tips to cut letters with infusable ink transfer sheets? TY

      We recommend using a brand new Standard Grip Mat, or a Strong Grip mat to help that stay down :)

    Nice video but where do you find the Cricut screen to select which Easy Press you're using? Will it say that on the PC because you selected this material before cutting? Also, can you re-use the butcher paper again for other products? Thank you! Great video.

      Here's the link for what you're looking for: cricut.com/en_us/heatguide?gclid=CjwKCAjwnIr1BRAWEiwA6GpwNYTwqik58WHiLy78YUmS83RfOM0_zy6hgmVC3MBooKriDuxpyyZdJhoCqWgQAvD_BwE . Also, you can reuse the butchers paper as long as it doesn't have any ink or smudges on it.

    Will a regular clothes iron work? We are slowly getting Cricutfied and covid hindered this? So we do not have the Easy Press yet.

      No ma'am. A regular Iron will not work properly with Infusible Ink. here is a fun video of Tanner testing the theory! ruclips.net/video/uoevu9Fk8x0/видео.html
