- There's always something innocent and pure whenever she sings and this cover of this song she did was no exception. Thank you to everyone who likes, comments, and shares this video. If you could do all that for this one, I'd be forever grateful. Thank you for watching, I'll see you all next time. Bye. :)

Great It's a Christmas Carol.
O bel bambin non piangere
non piangere, Redentor!
la mamma tua cullandoti
ti bacia, O Salvator.
Osanna, osanna cantano
con giubilante cor
i tuoi pastori ed angeli
o re di luce e amor.
Venite adoremus
venite adoremus
venite adoremus
Dominum.
Ah! venite adoremus
Ah! adoremus Dominum
venite, venite
venite adoremus
adoremus
Dominum.
Absolutely stunning
It's an Italian Christmas Carol. Venite Adoramus is akin to O come all ye faithful. The verse Gesu Bambino, ( baby jesus ) is almost a lullaby. It was written by an Italian composer, while he was living in New York, feeling nostalgic for Italy perhaps, in 1917. ( his name escapes me at the moment. Might be Pietro Yonn - ? If you Google the title, it'll tell you.)
I'm not a singer, I just think it sounds beautiful. The reverb in the church helps obviously, and her father's organ playing, is just perfect for the pace and sound of the piece.
Fantástica Amira ❤
Awsome
Great reaction Mad Musician. We’ve had our disagreements in the past & I tend to disagree with you as to her using a straight tone. I think you’ll find that Operatic performances are full vibrato, but this being ( I believe) a religious song , the straight tone is quite acceptable. I do agree that the breathing is no longer a problem but when she was younger, one must understand the lung capacity was much smaller & the need for a child to breath mid sentence is quite understandable.
Anyway, great job & take a look at her latest release “ Down From His Glory “ This gives you a great insight as to how incredibly matured her voice is becoming. Totally different to this performance.
Thank you for telling me too why she would struggle so much to hold the phrase, that clears up a lot honestly.
Also: religious song indicating with more freedom in straight vs vibrating tone? Sure, why not? Makes sense to me.
I had to turn on the subtitles when you were speaking because the sound on your mic was almost inaudible.. just to let you know.
So when I play it back, it comes out clear and the only super quiet part for me is the fact that I'm soft-spoken while filming. When YOU hear it, does it come out with distorted frequencies, almost like my pitch doesn't raise but the tone of my voice almost to mouse level? I've heard something like that before on someone else's video and I need to if the same thing is happening on mine.
YOU SHOULD SWITCH YOUR MIKE ON !!!!!
It is on, I am plenty loud from my very well-working and accurately predicting ears, and I just happen to speak quietly when I do reaction videos. If you have a problem with that or can't handle it, I highly suggest watching someone else's reaction or turn on the subtitles. If you continue with suggestions in a disrespectful way, you will be blocked. Thank you and have a phenomenal day! :)
@@MadMusician If you resent suggestions I will listen to other reactors because I can hear them. Several comments make it clear you have problems with your equipment.
@@joepollard9476 I don't resent your suggestions. I said I won't tolerate suggestions made in a disrespectful way. Like dude, you full on shouted your "suggestion" that it's hard for me to take it seriously. Now to your actual point, I will try something out to see if it helps me be heard more clearly so that I can fix the overall issue.
I don't think you have reacted to Amira's When You Wish Upon a Star..
I think you would be interested in hearing her version..and reacting to it.
Hello. Admittedly, all Amira's fans will enjoy your reaction this time So did I ! But, in my humble opinion, I assume it could be important, even for a great soprano like Amira, to receive some good critics from talented musicians like you (I listened to your last audition at the piano).."Praise of the praise-worthy is beyond all rewards" (Tolkien). 😊
I suscribed !
I appreciate that. That means so much coming from an Amira fan considering they are the most particular and were that hardest to get along with. But I shouldn't think too much on that: we've truly come a long way.
Your comments were so quiet I couldn't hear you. The singing was better.
Well, you may not like criticism, but if you want people to watch your reaction videos, you do need to get the sound levels correct between the artist and your comments - just a suggestion. Amira was 19; she performed this fairly early in 2023. May I suggest that you watch her performance of "Pie Jesu" (Faure) - also from 2023. She was using a microphone in that performance, but holding it well away from her mouth.
Criticism isn't the problem. It's trying so hard to make sure I'm heard when I speak so soft-spoken (because I've gotten this specific very understandable piece of criticism multiple times over multiple videos in the past) only to have people continuously say I'm too quiet. Not to mention I don't know if people mean there's an error with the audio quality and I sound excessively quiet, squeaky, and high as a mouse like you might could imagine with the lower audio quality in this video ruclips.net/video/sErw2g1FAUw/видео.htmlsi=oa5isivW_x3iUHOw or if people mean I'm simply speaking too quietly. Cuz when I listen back, I can hear myself VERY clearly and I don't know if it's an audio quality issue or if it's a speaking too soft issue where it's never being loud enough no matter what you do as to why others can't.
@@MadMusician I understand the problem, but all I can tell you is that I can hear the vast majority of RUclips reactions with the volume set to 50% plus or minus about 10 % - whereas with yours, I had to turn it up to 100% and turn on the sub-titles. It is evidently difficult for even major media outlets to get this exactly right, so one becomes accustomed to making minor adjustments - however, I suggest that you seek some professional assistance. Your comments are worth doing this, I believe.
I don't know about getting professional help since that costs money, but I will try to speak louder and not be so soft-spoken and see if that helps. If it doesn't, THEN I will try to get some help. I know someone who's great with audio anyway so I might be able to get that help for free, who knows.
Hello ! I can certainly understand that Amira Willighagen's voice is not really your cup of tea. There are so many talented singers in the world...
But I hope you will accept to react to this Patricia Janeckova's performance, when she won the prize of the sacred music Festival in Roma, at the age of 16 (she sang a sacred aria in Bach's Matthaus Passion).
She was a Slovak soprano, began as a crossover singer but studied in a conservatory and managed to play opera. She was accompanied here by a good pianist, I assume...
She also played Despina in Così fan tutte, at the opera of Prague, in 2019. The critics were pretty good.
Unfortunately, she passed away tragically last year. You are good musician enough to understand the loss it was. Thank you so much.

And her very last performance, Voi che sapete, in 2021.

I think you both should get together for a gig, you both are musicians.
That's so sweet, I appreciate that
