    Dalek Diplomacy is, evidently, a work in progress.

    A key factor I believe that should be in any Dalek animation. Is the subtle movements in their gun and manipulator arms. It shows that they are alive, and are not completely static. You have done that, and very well.

      Definitely agree, I think some people over-do this do when they have the head, eyestalk, plunger arm and gun all moving all over the place, it just really takes me out of the animation.

      @@TimeCorridorAnimations Yep. The eye stalk especially for me. Unless it is a comedic animation then I let it slide.

      Even with the implication that RTD might temporarily retire the Daleks until further notice, I would like to hope that he's keen on giving the DTS some screen presence on the show eventually.
      Especially considering how RTD fought to keep Big Finish from getting canceled.

    The way you shot this 🔥
    So cinematic, looks like it could be a Triple A game
    And the wobble of the Dalek speaking at 0:13…superb attention to detail

    I can just imagine the governing commission's feelings after the Daleks fire on their station: Well, Time Lords, are you happy, now? Not only did you bring the Time War to our station, but now we're going to die because of you!

      @@edeffects how did you get the dome lights in time with the voice? Also cycles or evee

    • @edeffects
      @edeffects  Год назад +4

      @@forcedalek I was able to animate to the audio by adding it to the video sequencer time line. Once that's in I can enable "Scrubbing" by going to the main project time line. Now I can go frame by frame and increase or decrease the strength of the lights based on when the Daleks talk
      As for render engine; I used Cycles. Tho it did mean rendering on and off over a period of a few days

    • @forcedalek
      @forcedalek Год назад +1

      @@edeffects jeez must have taken so long to render, how did you speed it up, my computer would take months

    • @edeffects
      @edeffects  Год назад +3

      @@forcedalek Try rendering at low sample counts and make good use of the denoiser. For example this render was done at 128 samples
      Also keep in mind things that would in crease render times. Such as depth of field, motion blur and volumetrics
      Another thing which I would recommend is to not render more than you have to, while being consistent with the pace of your animation. Basically: keep your scenes concise and to the point. Don't linger where it's not necessary because it will only increase render times. And also know exactly when your render is going to end, so you don't waste time on rendering extra frames that end up on the cutting room floor
      I also highly suggest looking at the plethora of tutorials out there on the subject of render times
      Hope this is helpful :3
