Just realized the Bonk-boy Item set has transformed into Jump´n´Jump Item set (Soda Popper, Winger, Atomizer)
It's changed from dmg quickely, and then getting ready to do the next person, to the flying scout.
His super power turned from strength to flight

***** No, it has been re-balanced, and very very badly. the problem with it was the insane firespeed and the insanely fast reload speed which made it a direct upgrade to the scattergun rather than a sidegrade.
TheOnlyMunchkinSoup The scattergun was MUCH better than soda popper earlier in any situation except from full hype, and well, it still VERY situational.

its kinda like the backburner and the phlog. the backburner gave you a chance of critz all the time, the phlog gave you definite critz some of the time. the FaN give you some level of movement all the time, while the soda popper gives you a large level of movement some of the time

That's why they changed the Soda Popper to be a Jumping item. It fits better with it's set now.
Believe it or not, atomizer doesn't work with this. You still only get the 6 jumps. Hopefully they'll change that. Winger is fine, though, and the boston basher will probably get you some more distance as well.

if the soda popper doesn't grant minicrits, why does it have crit-a-cola attached to it? also, the extra jump hype completely gets rid of the quad jump strategy with FaN and atomizer :/

It sucks that the soda popper lost it's mini crits, which made sense by the way, because it made up for the fact that you lost the force of nature type abilities!

It's a living nightmare for classes that depend on hitting classes directly..
so.....flare gun pyro....direct hit soliders....snipers.....lock'n'load demos....medics in general...sandman.....anything with projetile based attacks.

It has more synergy with the #1 Fan set. Take a look at the Airborne Arnaments set. I just noticed the somewhat new Liberty Launcer makes it a bit better to use the actual set.
It worked well with the set because it gave the damage for it, not to mention the whole jump thing only started when they added it to the winger. And again, why does it have crit-o-cola on it!? If you wanted to make it work better then make hype also make you slightly faster, as the damage boost it gave was minimal due to lower ammo.

Now the Soda Popper is annoying for a different reason, and if you want crits, instead of shaking your sugared, radioactive battery acid around, yah drink it, making yourself vulnerable during that time and throughout the effect's duration. Calm yo tits. Shaking soda does what? Agitate the carbonation. Magical radioactive soda? Who knows, maybe releasing that gas lets you walk on air.

You know what? I think this new SP is good and bad.
5 jumps are excellent for dodging in normal play, but the crits were pretty useful in MVM, especially with penetration.
Well actually, the 5 jumps from the hype have actually saved the end round bonus for me at times because of the extra mobility, and since the scouts job is to collect money, he needs the mobility rather than firepower in mvm. imo, It's definitely a buff for mvm.
