As I'm sure is the case for many people, this is the song that put you on my mental radar in the first place (the original version popped up on a Pandora station of mine that also plays the likes of Danheim and Wardruna regularly). I always like hearing new versions of it (as long as those versions have your blessing, obv.). Think the original is still my favorite, but I do also love the various metal and metal-adjacent takes on it.

thanks to steam doing Middle Earth Shadow of Mordor and Shadow of War promo for less than 8chf with all DLC, recently ... i rediscovered Shadow of the Ashes (hard vocals) and then i drifted like a Drakkar to this song ... I LOVE IT!
From the first time I heard it, it was one of my favorite songs. "Ode to Fury" is another that I truly enjoy (it helps deal with the rough days, had to edit provide proper context). Thank you for the excellent music!
