That Star Trek countdown: I'm on it with Alex and Joe !!!
Top 3 reasons to watch Bricking News:
1. Movie references
2. The singing
3. Alex's impressions
This is so cozy that I just "had" to pour me a good Whisky
Alex, don’t forget all the Bricking News podcasts posted on your channel. Plus city updates, hauls and LAN reviews. It can add up to a dozen a month pretty quickly
Congratulations on reaching 2500 subscribers. Time to aim higher.
I used to watch unsolved mysteries at my next door neighbors. Then had a very short walk home and was always looking over my shoulder
I think Kelton Davis is like the uncle who borrows the lawnmower and says when you need it back you know where to find it.
Trekkie: goofy Spock
Trekker: serious Spock
27:55 that’s why I don’t lol
Tried building on members video and in the process things broke
I sent the price is right link. Hoping Jason adds it to the stinger
"Give it away give it away give it away now... My favorite Sublime song" - Alex probably
i watch these episodes in 5 days 😂
i usually watch 20-30 minutes a day while preparing the baby's bottles for the day 😊
The old guy new shirt reference really made my day! Also glad to see y'all building again.
Alex is right. Trekker is the term. Trekkie is derogative.
I like you guys building during the podcast because it makes your guys just a tad more relaxed and slower. 😁
Awesome job with those mocs theotherguy2! Can't wait to see more!
😂😂😂 jason with the market street quip as Alex's favorite modular
Great show!
Great fun video. I thought Bane (from Batman Dark Night Rises) was doing the sponsor at the end LOL
Those spaceships are so amazing! I love seeing space mocs!
A few years back in northern Alberta this town was burning and one guy had an irreplaceable Wayne Gretzky collection so he was saving that as his wife was packing up the kids
Another great podcast! Alex (aka the other guy), I really appreciate your candor on new Lego sets, especially since you are in LAN. When are you guys going to have some A.F.o.O.L.s on your podcast? Keep up the great work!
7 videos a week is optimal for a You Tube channel. Short videos once a day (About 5 minutes) with one long video. If I was faced with an emergency, I would save my collection of trans-blue satellite dish pieces, they are priceless and irreplaceable. I would then drive to Earl's house and save his Ghostbuster Firehouse.
you know the food or drink isn’t good when Alex wants to start crying. personally, I like 2 videos a week. that's what I upload because that’s what I’m comfortable with others uploading. since my modulars are all connected, i'd lift them all at once to escape a house fire
On Trekkie vs. Trekker, a serious Star Trek fan wouldn't call another Star Trek fan a "Trekkie". The word conjures up the unflattering image of the people that William Shatner famously told to "get a life" on an SNL sketch. "Trekker" is the preferred term to describe serious Star Trek fans, who are really just normal intelligent people who enjoy the shows for various reasons, the stories, action, messages, humor, aliens, etc. and only occasionally blurt out the word "Space" at random times. I love Star Trek and have seen every episode and movie, most of them multiple times, so I consider myself a serious fan, but I've never been to a Star Trek convention or bought any memorabilia or merchandise other than a couple of t-shirts and my many non-LEGO sets that I wouldn't have if I wasn't an AFOL. I've never cared if someone calls me a Trekkie or Trekker. I'm a Star Trek fan with a collection of high school math awards, a degree in accounting, and a 30-year career in computers, so I've been called worse things that all mean "nerd". Live long and prosper. 🖖
Jason, you should insert the "Goofy falling" sound effect when Alex falls during the pricing game.
Awesome to see the OG Old Guy New Shirt stinger! You guys do realise that you didn't need to change shirts and it would be OK. It would have saved you guys a few moments and Jason an edit. At least we were spared Alex changing shirts on camera!
Snickers drink? No thanks. You need the new Brickers drink! The perfect way to wash down your Briklixin!
I am going with Trekker.
Hi Jason and Alex, When I went through that, you are not thinking straight.
Went to the LEGO room, moving frantically sets around and didn't even imagine that water would fill up the room almost to the ceiling, so nothing that I did matter at the end.
Only set that I saved and moved it out of the basement is big AT-AT. So I suppose I grabbed the biggest and most expensive set. Ironically I should get out the Titanic, which sadly did not float... 😅
After 18 months, I now have just one big set to build and my room will be finished with all rebuild sets and lots of new ones. Will set you some photos when it is all done.
To answer your question about the mill Village raid, complete instructions no box and I paid $240 Canadian, thats $166 American. I actually looked at it and walked away, and my wife turned to me and said what are you doing Why aren’t we buying that? Then when I asked the seller if the goats were with it he goes. Yes, are they special or something? I just handed him money and walked away.
Facial tissue? Nope. Kleenex? Try again, junior. Snot rags? Now we're talking. My wife absolutely hates it when I call kleenex snot rags, but I just love it so much
I still agree with Alex on the Modular argument. But... Now with the new free download poster of all the modulars for the 20th anniversary.... I don't think they are OFFICIALLY modular buildings but still are modular buildings. Kind of like how oatmeal is cereal but not cereal cereal. You know?
I tend to now think in these terms: official modular, then modular style (e.g. modular construction site) and modular compatible (e.g. the botanical garden)
I think Jimmy needs his own mini-segment. Small set reviews or something?
Hey, the "Exclude Incomplete" checkbox is at the price guide of bricklinck and also filters sold sets. Like the renegade used sold 30 times but only 26 times complete.
Grtz,
SG from Belgium 🇧🇪
Hock and loop?? I always known it as Velcro And yea I remember I did not get shoes with "Velcro" before I could tie my shoes properly (and when I got them I did as Alex and crossed them).
Also, great idea with the live builds. At least people can't complain that there's no Lego contents in your podcast when there is a build.
That's so many videos. I'm still trying to figure out time to make my first one... That's amazing Alex. Nearly 1k videos.
LOL I just realized that I already watched this 🤣
Those were very cool starships in the community commentary, especially the Star Trek ships. I especially like the microscale Excelsior; I have a video coming out later this week about the BlueBrixx midi-scale Excelsior.
Wait, you can not put a up a pole question to see which podcast is better, because I will forget to post it. Senior Friendly LOL
Alex singing (trying) Give it a way now reminded me of my copy of that album that develeoped a scratch. It would play to a certain point, and the be Give it a way give it a way give it a way give it a way... you get the picture
If the star trek lego rumor is true, the hard part is that lego won't reveal it until Nov, and they probably do the lackluster black friday live stream
Hey guys, the face on the Darth Maul Brickheadz wasn't built correctly, and was put on upside-down. 😂
I think 3 times a week is a reasonable number of videos if a person is really focused on growing their channel. Of course, there are exceptions, some channels are only posting once a month and get millions. It depends on the content, I guess. But for us Lego addicts we like a steady flow of content. 😂
In-ex-or-able. Meaning unstoppable, impossible to prevent. Naming starships is one of the most fun parts after building them! While I only made the one model, that lore I mentioned has several more ships of that class with similar names. Infernal, Implacable, Indomitable, Interminable, and so on.
The Acheron (Ash-er-on) is mostly built using parts from the UCS Tantive IV, with some from the Red Baron thrown in. And yes, I went greeble-happy on that one!
To Jason, how you decide the scale of a Star Destroyer to the Enterprise is, be a huge nerd. See watch:
I once did the math on how I would maybe go about making a small section of a Halo ring, to scale with my ships. To explain for the non-nerds, a Halo ring is a large ring-shaped space station with habitable space (land, oceans, atmosphere) contained on the inner rim of the ring. For Star Trek fans think of a Dyson Sphere, but smaller, not around a star, and just a circle, not a sphere.
After some maths, I determined that a scale model Halo ring would be impractically big to build from Lego. If I imagined that was real though, and then built a scale model of that model (using the same scale), it would actually be super easy, barely an inconvenience. And also still bigger than any scale model I have.
My bucket-list additions to the microscale fleet include the Battlestar Galactica, the Andromeda Ascendant, and the NSEA Protector. And Deep Space 9 if I become rich some day.
But…will LAN send Alex the Star Trek set to review?
ADHD Alex strikes again with all his song tangents.
I kind of want to add a wrinkle to this Modular (aka the forever topic haha) what about moc/ fan build ones? I haven't built any, but some of them seem a lot more creative and unique. I know Alex build that cozy house one for his city. Any way... Thoughts?
Awesome to see Alex mind blown about Velcro. I'd much rather use velcro than hoop and loop though.
Hope the Star Trek sets come with dolls 😂😂
Snickers Drink??? 🤢 But ja, I remember that soda sharing as a child it had to be on the nanoliter 🤣
Yay, First again! Are we doing the more comments than the AFoOL Podcast thing this episode?
If the AFool's win, you have to change your name to Tylenol.
@@chefeddie6164 if Bricking News wins are you changing your name to Oswaldified?
Hey Jason, this video is a little longer than 5 minutes.
What is Yoda's second name?
Lay-He-who
Oh look Princess Amidala brick head.... Alex the man with a room full of star war ucs sets... Roll on star trek sets! Hopefully the LAN can provide him with a Borge 'sphere' 🤫
Do you guys sell those Bricking News tshirts?
Yes! Jason has teamed up with a seller on Etsy. USA only.

Very excited for Star Trek sets hope they don’t Wednesday it up….adult level no Dolls!,,,
Ooooh that'd be so funny if Lego did that! 🤣
Those noises you make after 40 when getting in/out of a chair are just bad. And NEVER, I repeat NEVER go near a bean bag chair after the age of 40. You will regret it
So if Alex's definition of a modular is pin holes, does not that mean that tha castle sets from the lat 80's early 90's are also modular?
Just trying to poke the bear and keep the rants flowing.
I have to qualify this by saying I have ZERO modulars, except the castles of my childhood/youth. Some day I may even rebuild them and send you a community commentary.
To me the length of the videos dictates how often you do them. Five to ten minutes are good for every day videos. Two to three a week should be about 20min long. An hour plus is definitely a once a week. My attention span has gone to crap (damn RUclips) so I prefer the shorter videos more often.
You both better say your wives’ mini figs
Sory guy s 😂 I jump into comments to quick. Thinking the tittle was about. Over spending on buying Lego 😅lol .oh well. .read a few coment s to find out. .it's about. It's always awesome to have Jimmy for any extended period in an episode. Not so awesome it seems for Jimmy to have the braces put in though! Hope all goes well Jimmy!
I do not love the sound of that drink you all tried. No thank you!
