Next LAN report from Alex: "Last night Darth Vader came down from planet Vulcan and said if LEGO doesn't start making Star Trek sets, he'll melt our brains."
I wonder how many people watch the podcast just to see the two of you laugh hysterically at each other. Maybe it's just me, at any rate it never disappoints.
25:09 No word of a lie, RUclips stuck an ad right after you said "find out after these commercials". The Google hive mind is listening. DO YOU HEAR ME ROBOT OVERLORDS??
Alex needs to file a report with the LAN for them to re-release the greatest set ever, The Ghostbuster Firehouse. Do it for Earl! Also more Oswald sets.
I haven't joined the BAN or the PAN or any other AN but I've had a few offers. At the end of the day I have plenty of projects to keep me busy without feeling obligated to do set reviews. I did think it was cool that Ross agreed to the interview. That video was awful as far as views go, hasn't even hit 1000 yet but it was something I hadn't seen before. I guess that's kind of my goal, to do my own thing without cluttering up the platform with the same videos everyone else has already done
Die Hard, Rock’n Roll Wolf, The Nightmare Before Christmas, Tre nøtter til Askepott/Drei Haselnüsse für Aschenbrödel (the Norwegian dub is epic) and Lethal Weapon are my Yuletide movies
Jason, I’m so sorry. You were right, I wasn’t subscribed. Idk how it happened. Both your content is always on my feed and I watch both channels. I’m glad I doubled checked after your comment. 😂 Great episode ! Happy holidays to you both. 🎄🎄
I was 23 when Gremlins came out, and even at that age, it was a terrifying concept. I don't get it. Thanks for another fun episode. Love the Jimmy stories! Kids are so entertaining😂
25:14 I got a commercial in perfect timing with you saying “commercial break” and it popped back with “I don’t know if they’ll put one there,” couldn’t have time it any better if ya tried... makes me think AI is listening to the podcast... that should count as another view
I saw Gremlins when I was 12 and that was enough for me and I didn't even remember Christmas being involved. We saw it at a drive-in theater and we couldn't see the movie that well, so that's part of it. It was the second movie in a double feature; the first was Star Trek 3, the original movie where Kirk kills Doc Brown!
I object about the flex track to the bin. It is a cheap alternative to straight track (immobilise it with 1×4 or longer plates) and is ideal to finish a big layout using all your track. I must admit, in a city it's use is less wanted... Only a few days until I start my new layout 90% sure with working trainlift... Grtz, SG from Belgium 🇧🇪
If Market St is included in the standard line of modular bldgs, than the Sanctum, Brick Cross, and several other more modern ones should also be included. I consider it to be an Ideas set that happens to be modular-compatible, but it's not in the actual Modular series.
Having fun watching you two. I watch after work when I’m having my dinner. Please keep up the great work. Two guys just speaking their minds. I will miss Jaabo old shits . 999.99 LEGO set nexts Oct.
I knew this was going to be a great episode when there was Star Trek right at the beginning! A lot to unpack here. I've come to accept that LEGO will never make Star Trek sets, but I hope some company picks up the license and makes set more easily accessible in the US (i.e. no $35 shipping fee and delivery in less than 2 months).
I sure as heck do consider Market St a modular. Especially since I just went out of my way to buy it to complete my collection of Modular Builds. Ain’t nobody telling me different. Also, BrickLink marks it as “Advanced Model > Modular Buildings Collection”.
When Jason said he was too traumatized to remember anything, I heard drunk and not traumatized. And I thought wow, those conventions really sounds like a good time!
The most disturbing part of Gremlins is when you find out the girl's Dad died dressed as Santa, stuck in the chimney for a few days. Gremlins and Temple of Doom were the main reason the PG-13 rating was created, as they were both rated PG and people had issues with the content.
When ever I hear Alex do the Marty Mcfly impersonation, all I picture is Marty Jr. talking when he walks into the dinner with his long jacket sleeves flopping around. Myself I am always quoting Shamus Mcfly with his Irish accent. All three movies are some of the greatest movies of our time!
I had never heard of Bills meaning Boy I Love Losing Super Bowls. Growing up in Indianapolis in the '80s, Colts stood for Count On Losing This Sunday. (It's not a lot different now.)
Lego considers Market street to be part of the modular buildings. I think a complete modular collection should have it as well. I wonder if Alex still has the market street, would he think that it's part of the collection. Maybe because he sold it ages ago and don't want to get it again - that's the reason that he doesn't consider it part of the complete modular collection.
Another great show, with lots of nostalgia 😊 I think Star Trek would probably be snapped up by MegaBloks or Constructs or whatever there called now, like they did with Pokemon, Halo and Masters of the Universe Unfortunately 😕
My favourite quip when the General Lee took flight was Bo saying, "We ain't gonna make it!" ruclips.net/video/VBfrJHs56cA/видео.htmlsi=HMrAXHpeHQXy2kWx The audience knew that, of course they were going to make it :D :D
New DC set Superman set it comes with three min figure. Superman , Klark, Lex and a phone booth. Klark goes in and Superman comes out Lex is holding a green kryptonite it can be yours for $75.00 300pcs
Die Hard is a Christmas movie, it happens on Christmas, so do Batman Returns and On Her Majesty’s Secret Service. Lord of the Rings is a Christmas movie too, the fellowship leaves Rivendell on December 25th. And if you watch Die Hard right after Love Actually you can see Alan Rickman getting punished for what he did to Emma Thompson.
Poor Earl. Still being called out for not owning a Ghostbuster firehouse. Most of his collection is in storage these days. Maybe they will breed in there and magically give birth to a Ghostbuster firehouse in that storage location.
yo Jason, just wondering your thoughts - because I haven't seen anybody talk about this. That recent Star Wars battle back, with the Rebel Troopers and Stormtroopers and pink R2D2. It is only available directly from Lego, it is not available from any retailers. I think that is really odd - because I would think they'd want to sell as many battle packs as possible. Just wondering your thoughts
I’m sorry Alex, but if market street isn’t a “real” modular then a case can be made that cafe corner isn’t either (different theme). I have every single modular that has ever been released because I only consider the 5 or 6 that I have as “real” Modular’s. It’s a slippery slope my friend. Just tell Mindy to go back to work so you can buy market street and end this madness.
🤯 $ 280 for a 1986 Lego Fire Engine? Sorry, but if I wanted that set - I would buy it "used", in a condition as good as possible. It would be a financial nightmare to open it and build it - the price different is too big! The sealed set is three, four times the price of a used ons! Still - if I had to choose I would prefer an old India Jones set like 7682 Shanghai Chase. But maybe that is because in 1986 I was already in my dark ages: The fire station of MY childhood ia 1980's Set 347.

Mine popped up just as he started to say it then he finished after the ad.😂
Loved the episode. Merry Christmas 🥳
Great show guys, this was fun!
The AKJ shirt is my class shirt from 1984.

Yeah baby
1:13:55 flex track - use has side effects

Yup, got an ad exactly when you said it!

1:26:54 OK, now I have "Under Pressure" stuck in my brain...
that's super cool that I inspired you to also run your train on the color sensor.

I have all modulars except Market Street, meaning yes, it is a modular.
I saw Gremlins when I was 12 and that was enough for me and I didn't even remember Christmas being involved. Sales pitch for Disney Star Wars: "It's not as terrible anymore." - Alex
" It was watchable" - Jason
REAL tomato ketchup Eddie. Nothing but the best Clark.
The Hilton in vegas is now the Westgate. And Quark's Bar was great!

Phoebe Cates 👍🍦😍😍😍😍❤️
1:31:11 Either you are married or siblings, not sure but the synergy you two have together points to the first.

Alex is still living in 1984 if he thinks a snickers bar is 50 cents. 😆

Where did Alex get his periodic table of lego shirt?
I guess Mindy turned into the Grinch and took Christmas from you all. 😂🤣
Jason has a cypress? Nice! Was it from the childhood collection?
I had never heard of Bills meaning Boy I Love Losing Super Bowls. Growing up in Indianapolis in the '80s, Colts stood for Count On Losing This Sunday. (It's not a lot different now.)

They should make the invisible jet, using only clear piece
Alex may be thinking of poltergeist three in the skyscraper
LOL, please use the sound clips for Alex sucks again to introduce the price game!
Stand by your B! That should be the title of a new segment! I'm not sure what sort of segment though.
It is kinda catchy…
Actually friend do call me sky, it’s my initial
Am I the only one that heard Eddie Murphy saying pull over after the first siren
Die hard is a Christmas movie. And gremlins is too. Cmon man. And so is lethal weapon

What is the debate between Jason and Alex on Market Street being or not being a modular? Please provide your thumbs up or down commentary. Thanks
Flex tracks are good for gaps in LEGO math but bad for performance

I’m still not excited about Lego making flowers
My Daughter wanting Rats seems quite sensible now.
LOL, Dad is not buying Lego sets? Really Alex? Did you really tell them that? Did they believe that?
So is there Christmas in the Nunes household?
Uh oh. See coconut sucks. Sweettarts rule
The saints suck this year. So let’s go Chiefs
the LAN line was a really funny pun that I don't think Jason meant to make.
They didn't react to that this time because they've made the same joke before. Still amusing, though.
@@chriswhite5665 I forgot they had.
