And later when they created the Mask animated series so the first two episodes were directly based on The first two issues of that comic.

One of the creators for the Spiderman show actually published the script of the episode that was supposed to follow the cliffhanger one. In it, they manage to defeat the symbiotes thanks to one of the High Evolutionary's soldiers reluctantly giving the humans access to the satellite network surrounding the planet which they use to emit a transonic pulse and fry the symbiotes except for Venom and Carnage who escape.
That show had some rough voice acting, as I recall. Their choice for Prime, in particular, was... unique. (Then again, from the clips shown here the WildC.A.T.S. series wouldn't win any awards on that front either.)

At the risk of showing my age further, I remember when UltraForce aired also picking up Prime, Ghoul, Hardcase, and Prototype figures for $10 total out of a KB Toys bargain bin. Seems like with many animated series, the toy sales didn't help warrant the production.
Where was 'Hellboy: Animated'? That was astonishing, and on a par with the animated 'Spawn' series. It also had a voice cast that was the cast of the Guillermo Del Toro Hellboy movies.
Unfortunately one of the reasons a lot of these shows are "forgotten" is because they've never seen a full official release. I remember them. And own most of the ones that have official releases (Spawn, Æon Flux, Fantastic Four, etc) If they'd make an official release of things like Phantom 2040 or Spider-man Unlimited, I'd happily buy them in a heartbeat.
Kinda sad how so much of the Wildstorm universe was so ahead of their time for much of their existence, only for DC to fully integrate them into their main universe, and almost completely forget all their characters and groups in favor of retreading the same basic storylines over and over.

I hated Spider man unlimited. Which is such a shame.. Venom and carnage were/are my fav Spider-Man bad guys too.. But the show was really bad in my opinion.. And btw it didn't last that long.. Only a year/season tops, not six.. "Mummies Alive" woulda been a much better choice

Of course I liked SPAWN too, but I was a big Larsen fan so I went right to SAVAGE DRAGON as a young teen when IMAGE launched, but then I got a hold of some THE MAXX comics and I friggin loved them too....I dont remember them having cartoons though, weirdly enough

The Maxx had a layered and complex story to tell. It was such a one of a kind animated show for sure. Enjoyable too.

Fantastic 4... 2006-20010... only 26 episodes. Maybe spreading 26 episodes over 4 years has something to do with its failure.
