First dish is Khao Kluk Kapi (Shrimp paste stir fried rice topped with green mango, dried shrimp, sweet pork, Chinese sausage, chilies, long bean, cilantro) and the 4th dish dessert one is Khanom tuay fu (Thai Rice Flour muffin). Love ur vid. Enjoy food exploring with both of u. Never knew Patpong morning market are such a busy like this👍
I love you guys. Heads up be careful how tight you pull for man bun. Many men are finding out the hardway that it can and often does (way more often than previously thought) cause severe hairloss! Probably even more because it goes under reported.. If you are seeing more hair than usual in the shower now you know why. Hopefully it doesn't apply to you.
@@2Passports1Dream The right way to eat is to mix evrything so that you can have wonderful flavors in one bite. It's my favorite dish.👍💖 BTW, Paatongko should be eaten with hot coffee.💖 Love you both💖💖
This video was JUST the thing for me! I adore getting up early in foreign countries , be part of the locals’ start of the day and check out street life ! And the food looks stunning, as always in Thailand!
Yesss! It’s one of the things that really makes you understand more about the place! Fun to see what the locals do! We were surprised how many people were at the market! 🤗 We would love to come here with you one day!!
Same! To be honest I had no idea that patpong had a morning market. I'm OBSESSED with Bangkok and the last time I was there I got a different street breakfast almost every morning. My favourite is the savoury chicken/noodle soups I got on Suan Phlu and over on 100 Pi Sayam Samakhom Alley in Asok.
For Patonggo. If you wanna try with coffee or chocolate, it's better to be hot. I really love to literally just dip the entire Patonggo in hot chocolate.
Patong is in Phuket Province. There are a lot of foreigners in Thailand, I'm Phuket, a lot of foreigners. a lot of china tours according to 7-Eleven Have you ever been to Phi Phi Island? in Krabi Adjacent to Phuket, you can take a boat to Phuket, just 2 hours to reach Phi Phi Island. Beautiful nature, really beautiful sea water. I want you to come
A tip for eating "Pa Tong Ko" is that u must eat while it is still hot so it will be crunchy and delicious, but after it is cool it will be hardened. Originally old generation guys will dip Pa Tong Ko in hot Thai black coffees and eat. But this is rarely seen now. Now it is dipped in either green egg custard or condensed milk. The Pa Tong Ko u have in China Town and here at the morning market is the same but only the size which is different.
@@2Passports1Dream You can ask for Ka-Fae-Ron, Ron (ร้อน) means hot (as in temperature) // and Yen (เย็น) means cold so Ka-Fae-Yen = cold (iced) coffee :D Hope this help
Hi guys, just found you guys on RUclips, love your channel. I’m Thai but studying in Canada. Missed Thailand so much! I’m going to Thailand next week, Have a good trip guys. ✌️
Amazing real life video of Thailand and once again we congratulate you. I love waking up early in the morning and watching Bangkok life and definitely breakfast. Congratulations once again you are amazing and accepted by all dear ones.
Hi there, Your food reviews always make me crave for same street food tours. Your first dish is called 'Khao Klook Kapi' (shrimp pasted stir fried rice) served with sweeten fried pork, shredded mango, dried shrimps and cut Chinese sausage. Love it too. Having pa-tong-ko with hot coffee is normally preferred to ice coffee. Except for the "khao klook kapi"rice dish, the rest are all-day local snacks. Bon appetite!
Patongo you must eat with hot coffee. Porous flour is a type of puff pastry. Toasted bananas are made from another type of Thai banana called Kluai Hak Muk. 😋😋💗💗
Woww, i'm so happy that both of you like Thai foods. That dish call "ข้าวคลุกกะปิ" - "Khao Khlook Kaphi" or "Shrim Paste Fire Rice". Shrim paste fire rice is salty test. So it will be cut with sour from mango and sweet from "sweet pork". 4:13 - Sticky rice gill. Actually it's a dessert, so we put many sweet thing inside it - Banana , Taro , Potato. With banana leaf gill make it smell soo good. But if you are on diet, i recommend to skip it - so much carbohydrate. 6:25 - It's call "ปาท่องโก๋ - Pa Tong go". If you have it every day without exercise, You weight will be increase in nearly soon - like a sticky rice gill. haha. 10:12 - It's call "ขนมถ้วยฟู - Kanom Tuay Foo". And yes, it' a snack for tea time - like that. 12:40 - We have many kind of Banana grill in Thailand. So that you eat is "กล้วยเผา - Kluay Pao" - it use "ripe banana" (when it' already turn to yellow) to grill. But the thing that you eat before is "กล้วยทับ - Kluay Tub" - it's use "raw banana" (when it still green) to gill. Then press it and eat with some sweet sauce. Have a nice trip and enjoy eating in Thailand.
For the grilled ripe banana would that equal Caribbean plantain? Ours is normally much bigger but i feel like it's the same level of sweetness. Bali has our type of plantain but I can't find it here. Are you able to tell me the name, please?
1:35 is Khao Khluk Kapi, which is fried rice mixed with shrimp paste. The meat in the small container is a sweetened pork or pork belly. This is one of my favorite Thai dishes 👍🏼
3rd - Pa Tong Ko which originally from China made by dough, sugar, yeast, Baking Soda, salt, baking powder and Fried in palm oil. We like to dip on condensed milk or Sungkhaya paste (made from egg, coconut milk, sugar, corn flour, water extracted from pandan leaves) 4th Kanom Tuay foo - made from jasmine rice, rice flour, sugar, yeast, baking powder and extracted water from butterfly pea, suger palm etc. Mixed together and put small cup and steamed in the steaming pot. 5th - Grilled Hak Mook Banana (Silver Bluggoe).
Actually the first dish you have in this video (ข้าวคลุกกะปิ - Kao Kluk Kapi), the correct way to eat it is you must 'mix it up'. Not just eat it like regular rice and curry. Trust me, this way is more delicious!

you are honestly loveable. i have nothing but only the best wishes for you two. you always try to talk back (reply) to your audience. this shows you love your community. some channels do not care to engage with people, it's not the way to grow your credibility. there'll be a time you may not be able to reply to everyone but at least you still try your best. Dylan and Adriana, warm friendship (hugs) to you. i hope you have booked a good feast on Christmas Eve (many 5 stars hotel do well with Christmas buffet feast but I am not sure which one in Bangkok) Jump into that!
Thank you so so much for this heartfelt message! This has made us so happy 😍 You’re right, we might not be able to respond to everyone forever… but we will definitely try! 😍😎 Thank you again and we hope you have a fantastic Christmas planned (we are booking ours today so thank you for the suggestion!!)
hii i would like to recommend you to try street food at icon siam , there’s like a booth of different thai foods and dessert but there a bit pricey but would love to see u try it🥰🤍
Yes, it is exciting and fun to explore food markets in Thailand, but.......if the savoury dishes taste sweet it is because of the sugar that is added. Many dishes contain MSG, ( PON SHUROT), often the oil foods are cooked in is not recomnended, and please keep in mind farmers in Thailand are allowed to use pesticides that have been banned in other countries. I found it was better to but fresh foods in the markets, wash them 3 times in white vinegar to remove a lot of the chemicals, then prepare food at home without sugar or MSG.
I love that you chose to visit the morning market in the central Bangkok area (Silom = main business area) for the challenge, not the suburban area. This shows the reality of Bangkokians' lives =)
You guys hit the nail on the head!!! That's onee thing Thailand's got right hands down. It's a super full tummy on only change. Unless you're stuck on eating beef, you'll always roll away with a stretched out belly.
Wow..you guys are starting to look like Thai people everywhere..if you are Thai, you can eat sticky rice, grilled pork, iced coffee or 1 bottle of water and you're full. Less than 100 ฿
Perhaps so many people are out because it is cooler? Wow, I am amazed at the VAST array of fresh made food. Oh I wish I was there with you guys sampling the food. Mmmm
@@2Passports1Dream makes me glad ! To hear people admiring thailand everything about it is amazing beside some factors foreigners in thailand wont notice
The last one called grilled banana. No sugar added usually made from ripe "Huk-Mook" banana. The Pa-Tong-Go with Hot coffee, tea or soy milk is the every-day morning menu in Thailand
1st - Kao Kook kapi : the steam rice fried with shrimp paste, eat with onion, dried shrimp, young mango pieces and sweet pork. 2nd - Kao Neao Ping : the sticky rice cooked with coconut milk and wrapped around the banana or taro paste then covered with banana leaves and grillำก on fire.
Grilled sticky rice with banana/taro, Pa-tong-ko, Kanoom-touy-foo, or any dessert. we eat with coffee or tea. For light breakfast, afternoon break, after dinner.

Welcome to Thailand 🇹🇭 🙏😍
I'm Thai and I really like your channel.
Glad you enjoy it!
i love your channel so much
Imiss Bangkok...foods are cheaper than in Laos ❤️❤️❤️
Such amazing food!! 😍 We really want to visit Laos soon!
you are honestly loveable. i have nothing but only the best wishes for you two. you always try to talk back (reply) to your audience. this shows you love your community. some channels do not care to engage with people, it's not the way to grow your credibility. there'll be a time you may not be able to reply to everyone but at least you still try your best.

Love this little market! It’s amazing what you can get for a fiver!
It’s soooo nice! A bit early for our taste lol but absolutely amazing 😍
ข้าวคลุกกะปิอร่อยนะครับ เวลากินต้องคลุกรวมกันทุกอย่างแล้วจะอร่อย. 😁😂😂
We Thais eat them everyday and we are fine.
I love that you chose to visit the morning market in the central Bangkok area (Silom = main business area) for the challenge, not the suburban area. This shows the reality of Bangkokians' lives =)
So true! It’s so nice to see where the locals eat in the morning - it feels a lot more “real” 😍🤗
ขอให้ 100000 Subscriber fast ไวๆนะครับ♥️
Thank you kha 🙏🏼😍🇹🇭
The breakfast that you eat in Thai is called Khao Kuk Kapi. It is an ancient food of Thai people.
It is very nice. We were surprised by this dish 😃
You guys hit the nail on the head!!! That's onee thing Thailand's got right hands down. It's a super full tummy on only change. Unless you're stuck on eating beef, you'll always roll away with a stretched out belly.
Definitely! So many delicious things to try 😍🤗

Wow..you guys are starting to look like Thai people everywhere..if you are Thai, you can eat sticky rice, grilled pork, iced coffee or 1 bottle of water and you're full. Less than 100 ฿
Very good value!
But your not thai . 🥱

Hot coffee, not ice coffee. But, for me, hot cocoa or hot ovaltine is better than hot coffee.
Next time! How do we ask for hot coffee in Thai?
@@2Passports1Dream You can say 'kafae ron' in Thai. 'Kafae' is coffee and 'ron' means hot.
Thank you!! 🙏🏼
