Possibly your best video yet. So informative and well presented. I thought the challenge would be without accommodation so in my mind you achieved your goal. Well done. Bangkok is undoubtedly expensive but you proved there are plenty of great value options
10 dollars (330 baht) is the minimum wage in a day for Thai people. For people with a minimum income of only 10 dollars a day. Generally, they only spend about 5 dollars a day. They will rent an apartment for only 1500 baht per month (50 dollars no furniture) - about 3500 baht (116 dollars with furniture) and food per day, if you cook by yourself, it will be very cheap, 50-100 baht per day If you buy to eat, it may be a bit more. As for traveling in Thailand, Free trains (but very rarely) or motorbike installments. So if eating and traveling in a budget of 300 baht or 10 dollars for Thai people is considered very comfortable.🤣🤣🙏🙏 And as I said All budget tourists can follow. You can take the train for free. You can rent accommodation at this price as well.😁
Hello Nutt! You are always a fountain of information for us 😃. Thank you for this - we are aiming this video at tourists/westerners as you could definitely live much cheaper (and not everyone travels around so much each day haha). Happy New Year!
Please allow me to provide an update a little bit: Free buses and trains are no longer available (at least, not regularly) due to increasing cost of refurbishing the BMTA and SRT, respectively, have to bear (new buses, new train cars, as well as the ever increasing cost of maintenance for the old ones that are awaiting replacement, also the supporting systems that weren't quite in place yet) Right now, you got; 8 Baht for the non-aircon BMTA bus (the red-white buses) 10 Baht for the non-aircon Private concession bus (the Blue-White, Pink, and Orange Buses, increasingly rare these days due to replacement program and termination of concession) 13-21 Baht for the old BMTA Aircon bus (the orange buses, getting rarer due to replacement program, but still a common sight) 15-25 Baht for the new BMTA Aircon bus (the blue buses, which will likely replace all the above buses at a rather slow pace) As for trains, well, they might as well be free. I traveled via train recently from Hua Lamphong to my neighbourhood in Hua Mak and it cost me only 3 Baht (I kid you not) That's from the city center into the suburbs, for comparison, it would have costed me 50-55 Baht traveling from Hua Lamphong to Hua Mak using MRT and Airport Rail link.

With 300 Bht ... foods would not be the issue. The public transportation costs, however, are very high ---- esp. if you live in suburban area of BKK that you need BTS skytrain/ MRT subway for traveling (not bus or boat that would take long times).
There are so many options in Bangkok, you can definitely still survive and live in Bangkok with 1000 baht a day, to think about it some Thai people survive on less than 10000 baht a month.
Great vid guys. Just a heads up - it’s is a huge cultural error wearing shorts to a temple - in fact many will not allow you to enter unless your legs are covered. Keep up the great work
Hey Nev! We definitely know about this. We asked at the entrance if what we were wearing was ok to enter (we were ready to go be rejected) but he said we were ok. 🙏🏼
the total amount is still not bad and can be compared to only 1meal overseas but you made a lot out of it. Still a success and very informative vlog. Good job 👍🏻
How to eat patong ko, you have to hold the patong ko, then split the patong go into two sides first, then take the split patong go and dip it in coffee or custard. We don't eat whole padang ko without separating into two sides before splitting into two sides will make it easier to eat.
Generally hostels have breakfast as a part of the package, I am surprised this one didn't. It still looked great for its price range. Great job guys! p.s. Dylan please eat some more spicy foods!
You have both payed under the amount anywhere else would charge but you did this as they say on a shoe string and you both enjoyed your visit can’t fault that if you were strapped for cash ❤
Nice vids. Yes, we do see many people started complaining that it's nor longer cheap to live in Bangkok, even among us Thais as well. Though seeing you two eat what normal folks tend to eat here in Bangkok, I can't help but thinking that some complaints might have come from folks that can't resist the urge to have a Starbucks Chai Latte Venti every morning at 10AM
Ah yes very true! There are so many amazing options of foods and drinks but sometimes we are weak and go for a Starbucks haha 😂 it’s all about balance hehe!
@@2Passports1Dream no, no, I don't mean to say Starbucks was bad (just not my literal cup of tea). But with price half the minimum wage, getting it everyday can be costly.
If you had taken the red bus you would have saved a lot. You could do a whole series on which bus to take for where . I love the red bus. They always ask where your going , just say touring
Instead to taking the canal boat would it be possible to walk to your destination instead? If yes, how far is it? Wow, that is great all you got. When I travel I prefer to go like the “locals”, and perhaps do 1 fancy day / night. Yeah, that hostel was very nice! Really, all the hostels you have shown are really nice. All the places and things you’ve done so far is fantastic! Curious, what is the “average” temperature there? How long have you two been in Thailand? Have a safe $ happy New Year.

Great videos guys really look forward to a new one when you post, however as an Aussie living/working between Stockholm and London l am confused l can’t work out who is the Swede and who is Welsh by your accents🤷🏻♂️😀
Hahaha that’s funny, we hear our accents so clearly! 😅 I (Adriana) am the Swedish one! 🇸🇪 and Dylan is Welsh! 😍
@@2Passports1Dream Hejsan Adriana och Dylan, keep up the amazing videos, l have done most of Asia now and Thailand dozens of times, so during covid it’s like a virtual holiday, Hejdå ✌️
I'm a bit jealous of the weather. You guys are 51C warmer than I am!!! Happy Travels and Happy New Year!
Woah!!! You must be somewhere very cold…! Our guess is Canada? 😅 We will send some sun your way! ☀️

The background music at the temple is extremely beautiful. Do you have the link to the music? :)
Hello! It’s a beautiful song called ‘true self - jon björk’
Omg i didn’t know they were a food court on the 7th floor …. I just went yesterday and we ate downstairs lol
70bht for a padsaew 🙂🙃
Oh no!! It’s such a good food court - you need to try it 😍😍
Great video guys!
Thank you so much! 🤗😍
Thai people have made the best city in the world with Bangkok. Thai people are great.
with this amount eat hot food and drink Which is a wheelchair on the side of the road, not luxurious, traveling anywhere by bus But need to check the line carefully you can live comfortably. Even if you eat 3 meals per person
Definitely 😀🙌
I’m so happy to see you have pathonggo with hot coffee that I suggested it better than cold coffee for sure.
It was really nice! Those coffees were amazing 😍☕️
Happy New Year 2022(2565) guys!! From Vancouver.
Happy new year!! 🙏🏼✨🥂

Happy New Year Everyone!
Happy new year!! ✨🥂
Happy new year guys. 🎉 I wish you all the success in 2022. Safe travel out there. Covid is getting out of control where I live (Alberta, Canada), but, really, nobody cares anymore. Lol
Thank you! Hopefully stay away from it 😀
With 300 Bht ... foods would not be the issue. The public transportation costs, however, are very high ---- esp. if you live in suburban area of BKK that you need BTS skytrain/ MRT subway for traveling (not bus or boat that would take long times).
Yea - we have noticed the transport costs build up so much throughout the day!
ขอให้ทั้งสองคน มีความสุข และปลอดภัยในทุก ๆ วันครับ
Thank you so much kha 🙏🏼🤗
Usually, when I buy Thai hot coffee "Cafe-Bo-Ran", I would tell the vendor that I want less sweet and strong coffee. "Wan-Noy"
Ah yes we will try that next time! 🤗 Thank you! 🙏🏼
There are so many options in Bangkok, you can definitely still survive and live in Bangkok with 1000 baht a day, to think about it some Thai people survive on less than 10000 baht a month.
Ah yeah it’s definitely doable! 🤗🙏🏼
Merry Christmas Thailand bangkokc and happy enjoyed countdown2022 friend Adriana n Dylan myfrend from thaipeople

Condensed milk overload!! 🤣🤣
8:08 That sky blue color!
9:30 You will save a lot if you take air conditioning public buses. 🥰
Hahahah true! But wow it was delicious! 😍 the sky was so gorgeous this day! We will make sure to test the buses next time! 🙏🏼
Happy New Year 2022 🇹🇭🎉🎊🎁🎆🎇
Happy new year! 🤗✨
Good job 👍🏻
So true! Very affordable here 😍🤗 Thank you for watching!
How to eat patong ko, you have to hold the patong ko, then split the patong go into two sides first, then take the split patong go and dip it in coffee or custard. We don't eat whole padang ko without separating into two sides before splitting into two sides will make it easier to eat.
Ah yes we did that later on in the park and it became much easier to eat hehe! 🤗🙏🏼
Generally hostels have breakfast as a part of the package, I am surprised this one didn't. It still looked great for its price range.
Great job guys!
p.s. Dylan please eat some more spicy foods!
You’re so right, although this one was the most basic one we found (with the price, it made total sense!)
You have both payed under the amount anywhere else would charge but you did this as they say on a shoe string and you both enjoyed your visit can’t fault that if you were strapped for cash ❤
I’m from thailand 🇹🇭
I like your vlog
Thank you so much kha 🙏🏼🤗🇹🇭
I recommend places to visit in Bangkok. 🤗
Harajuku Thailand , Bangkok
Chocolate Ville , Bangkok
Oooh sounds lovely!! Thank you for the recommendations 😍🙏🏼
You should use mrt for going to the Phukho Thong in the first place. And right now kaosarn area is cheaper both for hostel and food.
Thank you for the suggestion 😍🤗
Great video . Thanks !
Thank you for watching! 🤗🙏🏼
Yess, you got กาแฟร้อน + ปาท่องโก๋ :)
So delicious together! 😍🤗
When I am in my own country,I always have patungkoa donuts with coffee in the morning. Then before lunch I have grilled pork with sticky rice.อร่อยมากๆ
So delicious! 😍🤗 We enjoyed it so much!!
I meself love to dip the patomo in warm soymelk. Its a childhood think of mine, when ever I went to bangkok to visit my aunt, she would get it for me.
That sounds so lovely! We really like soy milk 😍 What a lovely memory
Love your guy's video! Please eat the delicious food for me lol. I wish I was there in thailand.
Thank you so much 😀
"But we like to do things" !
haha who doesnt!! 😅
Great video you two!
Thank you so much! 🤗
Would love to see a video on your 14-day quarantine.
Haha we don’t really have much footage - it was over a year ago now 😅 We had to do it separately so it’s not very fun!
@@2Passports1Dream Bummer. Thanks for replying. Enjoy your journey through Vietnam. Love your videos.
Happy New Year 2022 🎆🎇🎉🎊🤗😉👍
Happy new year!! ✨☀️🤗😍
Love ❤️ Thailand. Thx guys
Thank you for watching 🤗😍
Chao Phraya Sky Park is my favorite spot for sunset 🌅 🌆
So many spots to watch the sunset 😍🌇
It’s so costly!! Whilst everything else in Thailand seems to be adjusted somewhat to the standard income - Starbucks definitely is not! 😅😅
If you had taken the red bus you would have saved a lot. You could do a whole series on which bus to take for where . I love the red bus. They always ask where your going , just say touring
Oh really? Cool! Thank you!! We will try that next time 🤗🤗
amazing greets from sweden :D
Thank you for watching! 😍 Hälsningar tillbaka till Sverige 🙏🏼🇸🇪
You could probably walk it in 45 minutes to 1 hour. But it’s very hot - 34celsius! We have been here over a year now 😱
สวัสดีปีใหม่ 2022 นะครับ ขอบคุณที่มาเที่ยวประเทศไทยครับ
🙏🏼🇹🇭❤️✨
Wow, I love going to Benjasiri Park. Unfortunately I haven't met you guys. 🥰
Not yet hehe! We love that park too 😍
