Hi guys, this is the first uploading of Scriabin’s Sonata!
I’m sad that I can’t play all of your requests quickly but I always write down on my repertoire list and practice whenever you request. (Absolutely Including Alkan, Rachmaninoff and Liszt Rhapsody)
Since so many people asked me the Paganini - Liszt etude no.6 so I would like to play when we reach 10k subscribers. But I think No. 6 is too short for this special event, so I am going to play complete Grandes études de Paganini which are six of them.
I am so excited and looking forward to sharing with you soon!
Oh yes my boy Alkan
More jazz and Gershwin!!!plzz
Awesome! Looking forward to them! And can't wait for Liszt Etude No. 6, it's one of my favorites!
No 6 is too short so I'm gonna play the entire set😂 amazing!
Holy crap- the entire set of etudes?
Your skills are absolutly insane man, love from Canada
I STILL HATE MINIONS SO MUCH id like him to try Le Preux or Le chemin de Fer
He really said that Paganini Liszt etude 6 is too short so he's gonna play all of the grandes etudes. This man makes me ashamed to call myself a pianist.
Damn well the grande etudes are next
Not even a musician but still shocked about him saying that 😅
Ya
@Shostacovid-19 ;)
@Shostacovid-19 ;)
This man has the balls to play a Scriabin sonata and then say he’s gonna play 6 Liszt etudes, what a legend
Yup his balls are almost as big as mine
@Franz Liszt bruh
This is just a normal sunday for him.
Lmao we are actually in the presence of a piano god here 😂
@@FranzLisztOfficial bruh
This new generation of pianists that I've been teaching is pretty good
But not like you
lmao
Word
Indeed.
@Cziffra György Of course, my friend.
My dreams have come true. A piano channel has uploaded some Scriabin at last. Not only that, it’s one of my favourite of his sonatas.
😁
Please play "vers la flamme". Scriabin and you desserve it
I agree! It seems like people don’t talk about Scriabin enough and this sonata is easily my favorite! It has the perfect Scriabin feel to it
@@thebrygi1648 white this is one of his best piano pieces imo I don't really think its the "perfect scriabin" feel in terms of style because weirdly while its a amazing piece in his discography its one of the outliers and more unique pieces really this is one of his strangest pieces in terms of style and he didn't really make anything like this afterwards
the only thing remotely similar is the 5th sonata but even that is vastly different
You know it’s interesting to hear how the 4th sonata is the break point of Scriabin, this sonata features some of the new harmonies he discovered ( as the first movement ) and also the harmonies( style )he was known for in the young period ( as in the last section with the chords in the second movement). So this ( as well as the 5th) is one of the most important sonatas for Scriabin and for us.
But if we remebmer his late sonatas this just nothing compared with for example white mass or black.
na -kun no.8 is better than both the white and black masses imo. no.5 is most popular for good reason and no.4 is extremely underrated even though quite accessible.
@@balladewilliams completely agree. The 8th is on a totally different plane of existence
Yep
@@balladewilliams yes I completely agree. I'm obsessed with the 8th sonata. The harmony in that is just out of this world good.
please play more scriabin, he just such an underrated composer
Just for the mainstream media, scriabin is widely heard and known in all classical music conservatories and colleges, he's one of the most famous russian composers, + rach, prokofiev and tchaikovsky
@@mvcm1688 i dont think so... i doubt mainstream scriabin has any pieces as popular as rachmaninoff piano concerto 2
@@zegaoyi yeah thats what he said lol?
Yeah, I love his op 16 no 2, heard that in Aelita movie 1924
Who said that Scriabin is underrated?
I've always thought that Scriabin is really underrated, and you just proved my point haha
True
@@chezbe I wouldn't say chopin is overrated. It is just everybody else that are underrated😂😂
@@chezbe I just don't have enough patience to listen to Chopin's pieces, for some strange reasons they always fail to impress me
@@chezbe yeah it's really sad how people listen to chopin and only chopin
@@chezbe my guy that's just plain wrong.
This is easily the most beautiful thing I have ever heard in my life
It transcends the human experience and soul
pat martino Joey difrancesco sunny solo Hammond organ THE most beautiful thing ever
Scriabin really envokes a sense of mystery with this piece. No wonder its called the mysticism...
You are right
I don’t know what it is about this piece but it made me think of my piano journey over the past 13 years and made me cry. Thank you for making this channel. I’ll be here until you stop making videos. And even then I’ll still come back to watch them. Can’t wait to see you get a million subs.
You are super sweet
What’s your journey?
It’s because only Scriabin can do this
Same
What the actual hell this guy is insanely skilled. I am ashamed because there is this person out there with this skill and i slack off watching netflix and what not. Thank you so much for motivating me everyday to work harder. I love this channel already and listen every morning to get a spirit lift. Cheers!
But don't judge yourself. Uniqueness, authenticity matters more than raw skill. Word from composer, musician, producer, music theorist, novelist, and literary scholar.
Better drop the Netflix and start practicing like hell if you want to be selected as a participant in the next Van Cliburn international Piano competition or the Tchaikovsky competition for that matter. Modern Pianist and other classical musicians are surrounded by so many distractions Netflix being one of them.

I don't heard a lot of Scriabin, but each time I do, I love his pieces, thanks again for sharing that so diverse repertoire that makes me discover so much very nice things
😉
This channel is beyond what's possible!
The progression of Scriabin's piano sonatas 1-10 kinda reminds me of that video of the artist with dementia's drawings over time. Not in quality of course but just overall surreal and madness vibe
Nice textures. That piece is really insane!
True... 😭
thats my favourite piano sonata by Scriabin! it's so cool that synthesia channel plays a piece like that, i'm truly amazed.
This is mind-blowingly good wtf. Like this is not some typical youtube pianist stuff. This is some real world-class concert pianist piano playing right here. This is actually one of the best recordings of this I've ever heard. The first movement was probably *the* best I've ever heard tbh (the voicing!)
I'd love to hear Scriabin's second sonata too, if it's within your vast repertoire.
Insanely impressive. After you introduced me to this sonata I have listened to many other recordings, yet this one remains my favourite. Thank you!
The real question is how do you play so many pieces in such a short time, + playing these pieces with emotions and being extremely good ?????
He's a concert pro. A famous one probably (korean?), just hiding behind the anonymous identity
UGH Scriabin is NOT my favorite!! Hes so hard to play!!!
Maybe they are multiple pianists like Rousseau
@@brambakker5253 his hands are the same in every video
@@brambakker5253 Don't you notice he does hand gestures at the beginning of every one of his videos?
He really prays at the beginning of every piece
Amazing video and performance!! We need more of Scriabin and Medtner played by traum!
This is honestly the first rendition I've ever heard of this sonata that brought a tear to my eye! So beautifully played.
You are insane man 🤯
The full Paganini etudes!!!! For 10,000 subs.
You already have some of the hardest pieces out of all the RUclips visual pianists with some of the richest repertoire and playing...I wish you all the best will 100 percent recommend this channel to EVERYONE i know.
Thank you
I have said this before and I will keep on doing it. Please play scriabins waltz in a flat major op 38. And btw I love the new effects!!
BiblicalyBuffDude i have loved ever since I first heard it live at a concert I attended a little while back. Probably the most beautiful pieces I have ever heard
BiblicalyBuffDude it’s really a gem! I just started learning it a few weeks ago and it’s even more interesting listening to it now as some of the complex rhythms and harmonies make a bit more sense now
Finally. I thought i was the only person who fell deeply in love with that piece. Like since the first time. That intro is magical. And later at the climax. My god what a piece. That is the kind of pianist i want to became. The one that could sit and drop that waltz whenever i want
Gonzalo B i too didn’t know that other people felt the same about that piece. I hope you will be able to learn it one day!
A day without traum uploading is like a day of death
Oh...
@@TraumPiano That's quite true...😅
These colors... these effects... THIS MUSIC... I love this pianist
Oh boy oh boy, it's Scriabin! One of my friends is very into his works
Me too :P
Although I do not know you, but count me in for one of his huge fans

This is one of the best piano videos on youtube. I watched this at least 30 times. You made me think this piece doable. Because of you I started this piece. Now I´m 2 months in and still at the beginning of the second movement and trying to figure this shit out at 3 am, again watchin this video at 50% speed. You got me stuck into the scriabin rabbit hole. Thank you for that.

I've listened to your interpretation of Scriabin's 4th Piano Sonata for countless times, I think it's exceptional, true music art, you've inspired me so much I can't even describe it, thank you so much :)
One of my all-time favorite piano sonatas. I don't care what anyone says, this was Scriabin at his creative peak.
This kind of edit is wonderful, please keep it! Looks great
I love how Scriabin's music has the ability to simultaneously convey consonance and dissonance. He hangs on unsettling but perfectly placed notes.
I love how you speak out of your a****
Finally someone recognizes the other Paganini etudes, can’t wait to hear you play no.1!!
I have been learning this piece for about a week, and I still learning the first 3 pages of the first movement. You guys don’t know how hard this piece is. Congrats bro, you did an amazing job here.
What a fascinating piece, beautiful performance!
this is incredible! you’re so skilled; you’re an inspiration!
I remember this video very fondly, it surely helped me get into Scriabin and that changed my whole life.

I was listening to you playing Ballade No. 1, then you posted this! Great playing! That's was really good! 👏👏👏
what a surrender performance! I love this sonata and it is impossible to me don't cry when reaching the final everytime that i heard it. Scriabin made genuine and passion pieces for great virtuosis. Thxs @TraumPiano for share your amazing technique and real feelings.
Thank you! There's a severe lack of Scriabin in the piano synthesia community. I'd love to see the 5th Sonata as well!
The 5th is a must alongside the 9th in my opinion. Although I’d be happy to hear any of Scriabin’s piano music.
@@TomCL-vb6xc all Scriabin sonata are a must... I'd love to see the 8th or 10th but that's not really plausible since they're the lesser known ones

O my goodness... I feel so lucky i found this channel 😍😍😍
Such incredible musicality that is rarely heard.
people overlook scriabin because they haven’t dived headfirst into one of his works yet. once you start learning a scriabin piece, all the legends about him being a mystic come true, his forms being perfectly round and symmetrical start to make perfect sense. his pieces fall so easily under the hand and mind, for me at least
This actually a brilliant interpretation. Better than a lot of Scriabin specialists.
At this rate, I wouldn't be surprised if he played Hungarian frickin Rhapsody for 20k.
😉
this is way harder than that lol

@GDragoN Rousseau has gotten so lazy. On top of that rousseau is like 5 ppl
Very interesting. I think that Skrjabin would have been delighted with your colored lights. Thank you for sharing this video, keep up the good work, and warm greetings from Spain!

🥳
Op. 42 No. 5 the most underrated piano compose ever. Trifonov's playing really good but I'd like to listen from you.
Elegant, hands, music.
The colors for the visuals are perfectly chosen!
Great playing as usual, tho a channel uploading such outstandingly played piano pieces in such short time intervals is still highly unusual^^
This is beautiful, I love this piece! 💖
My fave Scriabin sonata, a blend of mysticism and Broadway Babe - played beautifully - and with lovely visuals. Yes, I hear Alkan, but even more I hear, in the rat-tat-tat octaves, a high kicking Broadway chorus line. Almost Jerry Herman-like.
Great performance!
I feel like playing what has been referred to as the worlds hardest piano piece flawlessly has to be worth some kind of achievement.
His 5th, 6th, 7th, 8th, 9th & 10th sonatas are more difficult and complex than this one - but obviously it’s still a challenge, and well-played in this case.
Looking forward too Vers la flamme.
Utterly Phenomenal
🤩
Such an underrated piece!!
Have you considered Scriabin's Sonata no. 5 op. 53? There are so few good interpretations of it on youtube and I'm certain you would do an amazing job!

Performance very clean 😁👍🏼✌🏼
So much better than kassia and rousseau, you upload TWICE A DAY!
But why does it make him better by uploading more? And not to be the bad guy but when he does chords he hits some notes first than the others
He also did an edit in the campanella. He clearely don't hit a note that we hear and see but his hand don't play. So it's not authentical. I can find the timecode if u want
Felipe Bellolio i think it's extremely difficult to play so much difficult pieces perfectly, and in my opinion his mistakes are not important . I prefer subscribing a youtuber who uploads at least 3 times a week playing that repertoire than others who upload once a month playing the same repertoire slightly better
@@jimkol4161 i dont care about the upload scheduale. I care about if i like it or not. I like Rousseau and fraum the same but i think hes going to run out of repertoir
