What a beautiful story. I've had both bought puppies and rescued puppies. Both were very good. When my son was born we had a Yorkshire Terrier. We had the pup first however, we were still a little anxious about him meeting my new baby. But when we walked in with the baby, I went in first and sat on the couch, my husband brought I. The baby. The pup was in my lap, because Mom had been gone for a week. When baby came in husband put baby in the bassinet, the pup couldn't contain himself, he stood up on the couch and went over to the bassinet and stood up on his hand legs too see what husband had put in there. He looked in then looked back at me and it was instant love. We let the pup sniff the baby. After that they were inseparable. Pup slept in babies room when he was sleeping, would bring him toys when he was awake, even though baby was nit ready to play yet. But as my son grew, they played together all the time.

That puppy and baby will have the best bond and friendship forever. Dogs are pack animals and will protect their pack always. They leave paw prints on our hearts and teach humans unconditional love. My best dog was a golden retriever who protected my 6 children with his life!!! He was a rescue dog 🐕 and the best dog we ever had! He protected my children no matter where they went and wouldn’t let any strangers near them!!!❤❤❤ His name was Duke!

My six kids grew up with 9 dogs and 8 cats that they brought home after they were hit by a vehicle or found in the trash bin and then I would take them all at different times to the vet but by the time I was done my kids and I ended up with 9 dogs and 8 cats and I wouldn't have changed it for nothing in this world cause it shows me that my kids are concerned for them and so was I ❤❤

I grew up on a farm in the south with every type of farm animal you can think of…I even had a pet pig named Billy who would let me ride his back around our yard! I named all of the animals and believe it or not they would respond when I called their names! They were all my friends. We also had 9 dogs that we kept from when they were first puppies and each one had a different personality. I named them as well! As a result, I grew up with an intense love of animals. I’ve seen how they grieve when one of their own is sick or passes. How they play and express joy! Now as a senior citizen in my 70’s, I try to support as many animal organizations as I can even if it’s a small donation. And for the past 4 years Charlie, my dog since he was 8 weeks old has been my best friend and companion! And we are inseparable! We used to have a saying that if you mistreat an animal you will probably mistreat a human! Being around animals since I was 4 years old has helped me become a better and more compassionate human being!💜

Rescue pets have always shown the utmost love and thankfulness to me. Had 16 cats at one time. Some in heated doghouses (3) and 6 in the house. All spayed, vaccinated, fleas,etc. loved them all. They were smart and listened like a person! Thank you God for all the help.
RESCUE PETS ARE THE WAY TO GO COS YOU KNOW 100PER CENT THEY ARE HEALTHY HAD ALL THERE NEEDLES BEEN DE SEXED AND THEY ALL DESERVE LOTS OF LOVE ID LOVE A KITTEN AND A PUPPY AND IF THEY GROW UP TOGETHER THEY WILL BE BEST MATES PLUS THERE AA HOUSED TRAINED SO THAT MEANS THEY CAN ALL LIVE IN SIDE WITH ME AWESOME

All my pets I've ever had since I was a child were rescued in one way or another. The little Maltese I have now is one of 5 that were neglected by their owner. She is my sweet little angel from God and I couldn't have asked for a more precious baby girl!!!! She's my shadow and will only go for a walk if I'm holding her leash. When we got her she had no idea what a treat or a toy was, she has several toys now and loves to play fetch with them, she's a very picky eater it took us months to find a food she would eat, you can't sneak anything new past her, she turns her nose up and walks away EVERYTIME!!!
There are so many pets available to be adopted. Adopted pets been though trying, hard times. They are happy to have homes and may have harder time to adjust, but once they figured out they have a loving home. They blossom into the devoted, happy pets. That’s my story and I’m sticking to it 🙏😻🐕💜

I encourage you to do the same thing, I wish that more people could be as compassionate as these parents were to Cali, Animals sense personalities of people and will choose their owners themselves... Also animals love unconditionally so think of the love that they can give to seniors and vets with PTSD and medically challenged folks like me.

I too was concerned with a newborn coming but the vet spoke well about my spoiled lab. I introduced them when Forrest brought him home. He immediately became my son's best friend and protector.

All of my kids have grown up with 2 dogs in the house at a time. Each one has been closer with one dog over another. Sadly I didn’t realize I was a cat person as well until my youngest daughter was a teenager. Now my 21 year old daughter has 4 animals to choose from…lol. To be fair, the dogs are both my husband’s search and rescue dogs, but she has one dog and one cat she favors over the others. Animals bring great joy and love to the home, they bring unconditional love, they hold your secrets and understand youth in a way their parents just don’t. This is what I remember from my dog growing up anyway…lol
Loved this!I have always encouraged people to adopt from a shelter. Many times they pay thousands for a dog from a puppy mill, breeder and it turns out to be sickly. Go to the pound. Thats the only place I go 😂😂😂
Dogs are really aware of how their owners feel. I lost my boys 4 and 5 years ago. She was my youngest boys dog. She was around a year old when my son died. Now every time I cry she comes to me from wherever she is and puts her head into my neck until I tell her I'm okay. She is my life I love her so much.

My brother was 2 when my family got our border collie sheltie she was small like a sheltie! 2 years later i came and our girl tooj care of us kuds herding us into cormers so my mom could attemd to chores! We kids our trust was never misplaced in the dogs decisions for us! Yes caring for very ypung plus a puppie is hard but worth it! Rip pup pup 1952- 1966 gone but never forgotten always cherished!

We have been rescuing dogs and cats for many years. Our outside dogs love our cats. The cats come to the dogs for hugs and kisses. Our big Orange cat will head bump our dogs for affection. Both of our dogs continue to look up at us with so much love in their eyes.
Beautiful brought tears to my eyes. Remember one of my daughters friends had a labrador and she sat by the newborn as if she was guarding him.
We can learn so much from animals. We as humans can learn so much from having animals.❤
Long ago when I had my daughter,we also had a border collie,we brought our 4day baby home and told her to sit I put a blanket on the floor and the dog sniffed her, but was not to lick , they grew up- together best mates, I have had 3kids all brought up with dogs, kids are taught it's not a toy,and treat it nice never had a problem,kids grew but I still have 🐶

I adopted a feral kitten 8 yrs ago. It was the best animal i ever had. Hes a chubber and protects me everytime i leave the room. Adopt dont shop please. Every child needs a dog.

I hope people who adopt any dog, they take on real responsibility and understand that this is a forever home for the dog. Never physically hit or abuse your dog, they are pack animals and will see you as their leader. The Alfa-dog!

I was the first born in my family. Pancho was eight months older than me. He was a puppy of my grans dog. My parents told me many tales of Pancho and me. After two years my sister joined us……. A tale…Dad brought a tin of biscuits home. I had to share them…So i you are at the very beginning of the great relationships between puppies and babies…..went one for me one for Pat and one for Pancho….then I would gather all the biscuits together. And start again sharing….and gathering them together……of course Pancho ate his straightaway….. I didn’t notice My parents this so funny.

I have two German Rottweilers they were my grandchildren's babysitters so gentle still to this day there is so much love between them I have two legged children and four-legged children and they take care of each other with love

Cosmo meant the world to me he was everything to me am I just loved him with all my heart I couldn’t stop crying I cried for weeks now know he is gone but we had him cremated so he is home with me and that helps me knowing he is here. MY STORY IS MY DOG TINA AND MY NEPHEW ROBBIE. WHEN MY NEPHEW WAS ABOUT 2 WE WERE SITTING IN THE KITCHEN BUT STEPPED OUT FOR A MOMENT TO CHECK SOMETHING IN THE DUNNING ROOM. IT WAS JUST A MOMENT, BUT WE HEARD MY DOG TINA WIMPER. WE WENT BACK IN THE KITCHEN AND MY DOG WAS BLOCKING MY NEPHEW FROM GOING DOWN THE STAIRS. HE WAS TRYING TO CRAWL OVER HER. SHE WAS A MINIATURE SCHNAUZER. HE WAS PULLING HER FACE FUR, THE BEARD. STICKING HIS HANDS IN HER MOUTH. WELL WE RESCUED TINA, PICKED UP THE BABY AND WAS GLAD TINA WAS ON THE JOB. SHE BLOCKED THE OPEN DOORWAY TO THE BASEMENT WITH HER BODY. TINA GOT STEAK THAT NIGHT. SHE ALSO DECIDED TO BE HIS NANNY. WHEN WE PUT ROBBIE IN THE CRIB FOR HIS NAP, TINA WAS WITH HIM IN THE CRIB. SHE WOULD BARK WHEN HE WOKE UP. SHE LOVED HIM SO MUCH. ❤❤❤ SADLY THEY ARE BOTH GONE. BUT I KNOW THEY ARE CHILLIN IN HEAVEN TOGETHER.❤❤❤
