- The medical examiner who performed the autopsy on John O’Keefe testified in the boyfriend cop murder trial on Thursday. Dr. Irini Scordi-Bello said O’Keefe’s cause of death was blunt impact injuries and hypothermia. She also said she could not determine his manner of death based on his injuries alone. Dr. Scordi-Bello confirmed O’Keefe BAC was 0.21 and he most likely got knocked out, unable to move, which lead to the hypothermia.

To supposedly be hit by a car he has a lot of injuries 🤔
You don't think someone being hit by a 3 ton moving object would have a lot of injuries? When was the last time you were hit by a car?
you mean a lack of injuries?
Death caused by blunt force trauma to the head? The prosecution's accident reconstruction 'expert' could not even explain how the car accident caused the injury to the head.
Small laceration over eye suspect , want to see radiology evidence of alleged fractures at back of head not a diagram and bruising to front of hands from IV’s yet he was deceased and his blood wasn’t flowing? WTH
She said “being knocked out “ Did anyone catch that ?
Hmm. Broken ribs from
CPR , wasn’t John DOA when discovered the next morning in the snow . Did anyone testify about that CPR was done on John ? Anyone know the answer ? Sus
His head injury was most likely caused when John impacted the ground..
He was clipped by the car and it made contact with his shoulder and arm
and John's arm was "showered" with pieces of shattered glass and taillight which got stuck in his clothing.
It caused John to be thrown into the air and when he landed his head impacted the ground
And the broken jagged pieces stuck in his sleeve pressed into his arm causing the marks.
He then lay there for hours while these pieces were further pressing into his skin not exactly cuts or open wounds
rather abrasions to the top layer of skin.. as if pieces dragged across his skin or pressed into it.
@@mykingofkings1439 If JOK's head injury was caused by hitting the ground where he landed, why was there not a pool of blood around his head? The issue is the prosecution did not provide any plausible cause of the head injury which seems pretty significant as it appears to be the cause of death. Their 'expert' testified that it may have been caused by the kerb. Then how did he get from the kerb to his resting place? Too many fill in the blanks that are left to the jury. Not enough evidence to throw someone in jail for life IMO.
@@mykingofkings1439hahahahahahaahahahaha
Shards of glass got stuck in what appear to be holes and tore up his arm in random places consistent with dog bites
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Some of you people have wild imagination
Notice how they only touched on the injuries of his arm briefly lol
Sounds more like a beating than backed up by a vehicle. The punctures and scratches alone...with long sleeves would NOT have happened by a vehicle hit AND with all the snow there is no way she could have backed up at a high speed to mow him down. Way too much evidence pointing towards police corruption.
I'm not sure why the prosecution decided to call this expert. She literally sounds like she's a witness for the defence.
After trooper paul, I'm convinced Lally is trying to purposely throw this case lmfao. On top of that...this lady is one of the last witnesses for the CW.
Am I missing something?
Yes ur missing the evidence that karen did it..
Agreed! There’s no way his injuries were caused by the SUV.
@@Gabriel-hf1yy Colin albert, log off it's time for bed. You have homework to do.
@@Gabriel-hf1yy what evidence is that ?
If they didn't have the expert on, the defense would have said the prosecution was intentionally misleading the jury. They had to put her on.
Soooo blunt force to the head causing him to pass out and die from hypothermia in the cold…yet his head is not the height of the tail light of the vehicle 🤔 I don’t think she hit him. Sounds like he got his face and head beat. Then the dog attacked to defend its owner and JO tried to block it with his right arm and got scratched/bit 🤷🏻♀️
This is exactly the thought I had !! A fight and issue attack with dog
Don't forget what she said JO'K was wearing.
Sounds very plausible and possible.
HOW DID THE BLUNT FORCE TRAMA CAUSING INJURY TO THE BACK OF THE HEAD OCCUR? WHAT DID HIS HEAD HIT WHEN HE WAS PROJECTED ? HOW WAS BODY FOUND ANY PICTURES, AUTOPSY PHOTOS? DID HE FALL BACKWARDS ONTO THE BACK OF HIS HEAD? HIGH BAC ALSO. WHERE ARE PICS OF THE AUTOPSPY
Shes describing a fight or beating
Poor john and hus mother and family hopefully justice b done
No way did the scratches on his arm occur from the vehicle ( through his sweatshirt ).
I find two things interesting in her testimony. First, the CW’s accident reconstruction expert testified that JO was holding a glass in his right hand when it impacted the Lexus. He testified the impact was strong enough to scratch the car, dent the car, and shatter the glass, yet the ME does not find any cuts on the right palm. Am I to believe his palm withstood the damage of a shattering cocktail glass?
Also, the ME testified that the skull/brain injuries wouldn’t have killed JO instantly, and that he’d still have a heart beat, and bleeding. Why so little blood? We all know how much head injuries bleed. Shouldn’t there have been a pool of frozen/slushy blood? More than just 6 drops?
I think it was the er doctor that said he lost 3 pints of blood… where is it?
Basement under new concrete is my guess
Why don’t people think it’s possible that he crashed his head on the road then managed to get up, take a few steps, throw up (due to head injury- and vomit on clothes), then passed out in grass? He was found on top of his phone - was likely trying to get to it. Awful
@@thepetrillos one of the medical experts testified an injury such as JO had would have had enough force to knock him out immediately. He wouldn’t have crawled anywhere. Also, where is the blood? Head trauma bleeds excessively. There wasn’t enough blood found at the scene for the head injury to have happened there.
This is the person Trooper Proctor called a "whack job".
And no doubt only because she wouldn't be pushed by him to give them a determination they wanted as the COD. They wanted it to be ruled homicide, which it no doubt was- just not by being hit by a car in reverse even at 24 mph. More like being beaten and attacked by a very large dog like a German Shepard.
Also others in the house. Maybe they didn't like jo and wanted him out of the police force.
Yeah and he was correct.
all "caused" by a car going 24mph in reverse in the snow, Let that sink in.
😂😂😂😂😂😂
When was the last time you got hit by a 3 ton object going 24mph?
@@KTrue942 2011 i broke my femur from a car but it was front bumper. going roughly the same speed 25mph.
This poor man was assaulted and killed by someone and/or someone's dog....it is so clear....no footsteps because it was a blizzard!!!
Lol. Karen killed him. She probably bit him too. Linda Blair clone.

47:08 Diagram looks like he was punched by the injury on his nose going up to his right eye.
So is the state's theory that John like charged head first into Karen's vehicle? Even that doesn't explain all of his injuries.
Not by a car. Fists
Head injury was Blunt Force Trauma, a heavy weapon was used.
He would have needed to be kneeling down to get head trauma from the rear side of her vehicle... likely, how?
Well maybe he was drunk she shouting at him went on his knees to ask her to stop
@@martinaosullivan1622He doesn’t seem like the type to be begging on his knees at a party in the snow. Highly doubt that.
Maybe he droppd the glass and was picking it up? I don't think that happened but just hypothetically
Being drunk and stumbling perhaps!
Falling backward after he was struck by the car and hitting his head on the cement..
Even the Doc isn't sure what the true cause of the injuries.
If it was a fight- why are there no defensive bruises on his knuckles? This is a big guy, and a cop. He would have had to fight back. If there was a dog involved.. there would have been bottom teeth marks. I am at a loss on the scrapes on his arm - they look like finger nails, but definitely not a dog.
that's what the CONTUSIONS are on the back of his hand
No bruises, broken bones, or fractures. But head trauma (beaten up) and animal attack
Why did this go to court. It’s crazy, nothing adds up. There is no way a vehicle could do this.
This is a Joke and the Judge and the Doctor should be ashamed of themselves!!!!!
If you’re hit by a car it throws your head forward into windshield. Head injuries are very common.
Of course their is no heartbeat, he's frozen......
What was John’s BAC? Probably passed out drunk and froze
Back of the hands had scratches
contusions....not scratches...like he was fighting
Defensive injuries on the back of hands, OJO was blocking punches. Same thing with the injuries on his forearm, defensive wounds, trying to protect and fend off the dog. He was hit in the back of the head with a blunt weapon, and that's when he went unconscious and died. It happened in that house, I'm totally convinced it's not a car accident.
So she doesn't think John fought, ask her if he got beat up.
Damage to the back of the head and the face …. ??? What do they think she made a you turn and hit him twice ???? Common …. He was beaten
The cocktail glass he took from the bar was still by his side. He never went inside the house.
@@KTrue942 maybe they assaulted him on the lawn
Ummm. Um. And um. Um.
Dog attack not in the cards.
Right. There was no dog dna on JO.

She hit him, maybe not intentional. Those injuries could not be caused by an altercation.!!
Ooo, lookout a RUclips expert has spoken! 😂😂😂
The ME couldn’t say for certain that he was hit by a car she said it’s possible they were caused by an altercation.
@noraoconnor1895 go watch the Waukesha parade trial. Guy drove thru parade average 32 mph. Supposedly JO got hit 24 mph. Check out the parade injuries incl. 6 dead 60 injured. Cars cause major damage due to velocity. Not sure how this guy died but I don't believe a car hit him.
