The ship captain asks you to go to the bridge and sit on the captain's chair for an hour. The ship sets sail. You just sit there and feel as though you in control of the behemoth cruise ship but the truth is that you just a spectator and can't issue a 'hard-to-stern' order for example, because the ship's captain holds that power.
