*Loveable:* 5. Josie Geller, "Never Been Kissed". 4. Lorelai Lee & Dorothy Shaw, "Gentlemen Prefer Blondes". 3. Dorothy Boyd, "Jerry Maguire". 2. Sandy Olsson, "Grease" 1. Holly Golightly, "Breakfast at Tiffany's". *_Jerry Maguire is a Romantic Comedy Drama (Dramedy). It counts. Grease is a Romantic Comedy Musical. It also counts._*
As charming as Gerard Butler normally is, even he couldn't make Mike even remotely appealing. I never thought that he and Abby lasted long after the movie.
I think Benjamin Braddock's cluelessness is the whole point of "The Graduate"( same w/ Heath Ledger in "10 Things I Hate About You" which is based on Shakespeare's "Taming Of The Shrew" ,which was written in 1500's so isn't exactly "Woke". ) & though I have a soft spot for Owen Wilson --NONE of the guys in The Wedding Crashers were likable...!
Lovable: Akeem and Lisa from Coming to America, Peter and Aldous from Forgetting Sarah Marshall, John and Joey from Guess Who’s Coming to Dinner, pretty much any Drew Barrymore character Hateable: Darryl from Coming to America, everyone from You People
Sandy was the best part of "Along Came Polly", by sure. Philip Seymour Hoffman really stole all of his scenes, and almost makes you wish that you were following his antics as a washed up child star.
The two protagonists of "Wedding Crashers" are not what you could call heroes either. They sneak into other people's weddings without being imitated to hook up with random ladies. Owen Wilson's character even poisons Bradley Cooper's to steal his girlfriend, I mean the guy is a jerk but the lead characters are too.
THANK YOU for realizing what a jerk Benjamin is in The Graduate. He seems to be "attracted" to Elaine only to spite her mother. Speaking of whom, even though Mrs Robinson is unsympathetic and Anne Bancroft's masterful portrayal doesn't try to make her anything but, my heart perpetually goes out to her.
I object to Benjamin Braddock being on this list because "The GRaduate" was not a Rom-com. Far from it. Even when I saw it at the age of 13, I felt really said for all of the main characters. Just because his character is clueless, doesn't mean the story was a comedy.
I wouldn’t say Mr Yunioshi is all that hateable but Mickey Rooney’s performance sure is. And Benjamin Braddock is only hateable using today’s sensibilities.

I always figured she smothered him with a pillow while he slept and then hid the body. 😂
Please do 5 Non-Disney Sequels that were a hit and 5 Non-Disney Sequels that were a miss.

Yes, the first "Coming to America" is a classic, but the sequel just feels unnecessary to me.
I always say that the sequel is an hour-long SNL skit. I'm baffled that a third movie is being developed.
More people really need to see Amelie

Joey Donner is basically Gaston Jr.
Yes, but even more so, Kat's sister did all women kind when she punched and kneed him where the sun doesn't shine, a favor.

I thought cher is a iconic character and the lead character from clueless she should be on lovable list, Ronny is not lead character from moonlight.
I love cher from clueless .
"Duckie" would be "Hateable" for me😒
Me too! Bleh

I dunno, the heartbreak in her voice when she says she studied art and she dropped out of college because she was pregnant hurts.

Ducky is obviously number one!
