I wasn't really a fan until I started watching your channel. After watching your videos and seeing more of your demeanor than what they show on TV, I pull for you all the time. You seem like a really great guy. Keep up the good work.
@@NielsTheTerminatorFeijen almost every day. Beat the three time winner of an annual local Big Dog tourney here in Ohio this past weekend. Ended up overall 2-2 in my matches. One less high speed safety by my opponent or one less miss (only had two) by myself and I get to go another round. I'll keep working.
I really like the face that you have an isolated room to shoot pool, there are zero distractions. Everyone always does videos on how to have practice sessions and shot making, I have NEVER EVER seen a video on how to have a SUCCESSFUL practice session. How to overcome a lack luster training session, using what you learned from those sessions to overcome a bad match (no necessarily a loss). For instance Niels struggled (by his standards) on cutting the 11 ball down the rail several times. Also the first several attempts at his drill failed. Another example is, what should someone practice if they're limited on time and can only get maybe an hour a night or a couple nights during the week. Niels do you have a schedule for each day of the week that you make out and stick to it? Any ways great video and great determination was on display, so thanks for making these videos
That’s excellent content. It shows how much effort a person has to put to become a professional. I’ve learned a lot just by watching this video and I can’t wait to try those drills too.
i must say i now realize what it takes to reach niels and the other pros level. i am not sure if i have it but i will dig deep to find it as i watch all your training for the next few weeks each day and go to the practice room. not sure how many persons watch the first hour but i watch you almost complete each drill to this point and you didnt get emotional when you miss you simple start over and focus att the main goal which is repetition. i must say you environment is extremely motivating so i will emulate you as much as i can. hey niels from jamaica
@@NielsTheTerminatorFeijen I did all the drills on the video I commented on did complete but I saw some weakness which I know is whats holding me back gonna watch another training session now for tomorrow
Sir niel the terminator, if ever you have many old cue stick/tacko.. can i get one .. but it's ok if nothing.. i will always love your video training.. i learn and i practice .. .. god bless you and your family..
Hey I don’t know how clean the balls are but that should be about a half ball hit. Your percentages of hitting the ball fat are higher than overcutting. in my experience I found that putting top on the ball I had to cut the ball a little bit more because of the Cue ball creating a bit of collision induced throw on the object ball. If I was training somebody and they kept missing the ball I will do what I did . I figured out which eye I was the dominant then I would start to do one or 2 mm increments in adjusting moving the head left or right right until we found the sweet spot . Favoring the dominant eye. You play very similar to the way I play very low on the cues stick The higher you go above cue stick The less important it is about head position in my experience.
That's the way I also learned it with a ghost ball, but after that it's all feel. Think of it more as too thick or too thin and let your brain adapt in it's own way. Don't overthink it too much. It will come natural. Good Luck!
@@warrente66 Yep adjust to what you see like "hmm hit it too full or too thin" then don't beat yourself up but make adjustments and before you know it, you're climbing the ladder :)
Do you aim the stick visually through the cue stick at a point on the object ball or do you aim the side or top of the cue ball at the side of the object ball or is it all a feel of perceived angle or since you use a lot of English on shots is it learned memory outcomes, the zone or all of the above. :-)
I use ghost ball and feel. In my humble opinion all these new aiming systems are way too analytical. Round balls and spin on a lot of occasions, there’s no fixed aiming system. Cause everybody’s stroke and equipment is different. Only on center ball shots ghost ball is my reference 👍🏼😄 gonna do a video about this soon. I think it will free and help a lot of players 💪🏼😄
Hey Niels, thanks for making these. Sorry if you’ve answered this somewhere else, but have you noticed either a beneficial or detrimental effect from doing all commentary during practice?
@@NielsTheTerminatorFeijen During practice and more so the lessons videos you post. Have you seen any kind of change in your game since you started streaming? Yep topspin makes the balls stick together but more and pushes it off line👍🏼😄
nice, hope you will share some tips on how to pocket ball, like aiming, kinda hard to visualize a ghost ball like most players teach
