- In my first ever challenge video, I'm attempting to get the lowest possible score in Pac-Man World Re-Pac, the remake of the series' first ever 3D platformer.

Ahbeef makes best videos. Happy new year from Bagwan 🇩🇬
26:34 Melon!
Great run, I respect the hustle.
Had no clue I could finish Toc-Man's third phase with the dot-throws, I fought him entirely with the butt-bounce. Never saw him use that spin move once.
Dang it I've been trying to do exactly this for a week but I guess you beat me to it haha
Also I could be wrong but I think sometimes fevers in slot machines are based on the last 4 points you earned before and melon fever is likely spawned after having the last 4 digits being 1000.
That was an awesome video! Your commentary was really entertaining.
I also loved watching you share your progress on the speedrunning discord, it was really fun. Hope you continue making content man, you're doing great work.
About Anubis Rex's laser attack, I prefer to Rev Roll out of the way of the laser. Granted, the Mummy spawns can be cheeky about that idea if you don't watch out for that.
Space Race's laser tower has the lasers timed to be in intervals that favor Butt Bouncing up the platforms, as opposed to in the original PMW where they all activated simultaneously forcing a waiting game there. Although you might be too busy about the jumps themselves to be paying enough attention to the lasers' intervals.
I checked if the Power Pellets in King Galaxian give any points. Sadly for this video, they do: 45 apiece.

OH WOW! I didn't know you could skip that damnable coffin with depth perception issues on the initial trip via a Butt Bounce. ....oh, it uses a Flutter Jump anyway. Okay then.
And wow, Pac can tiptoe. What I miss considering I play PMWRP on Keyboard.
About Toc-Man, first off, his first phase involves him doing his bullet attack before doing his lunge 3 times in a row. If you hit him, he will opt to alternate to the opposite of whichever one of those two you interrupted him from. Second, the Torch Skeletons always respawn from the piles of bones around the arena. Fortunately, there's at least one open space between 2 piles of bones, which I made use of in my own No Damage/Flutter Jump/Pac-Dot Attack run to reduce compromise with those pesky Torch Skeletons.
So yeah, nice to have watched this.
i definitely did not the pattern with the lasers, for a lot of my attempts at space race 0 points i tried to use an intentional damage boost, but even with the cycle of the lasers in mind it was just too inconsistent and difficult to time it. as for the jump you mentioned at that timestamp, it probably is possible without using a flutter but i wasn't exactly trying to make this challenge even harder for myself, and some of the jumps absolutely require the flutter anyway lol
thanks for putting me in this video like 4 times

Lol
Apparently if you get a certain score on the 3 or 4 digits. You get a slot fever. For example:
765 gets you a galaxian fever
555 is a peach fever
1000 is a Melon fever
And you can get Yellow fever at a specific score
that would mean that avoiding the melon fever in Windbag is impossible, requiring the lucky fifth hit I got in my successful run. good to know! thank you for the explanation, i've been wondering about this since the game came out lol
Oh, so the Fevers aren't random, huh? And nice to see that 765 gets involved in a different way via the Galaxian Fev-...wait a minute.
(checks something)
"Pac-Man World Re-Pac 100% No Damage/Flutter Jump/Pac Dot Attack - 1-3: Crazy Cannonade" at 17 minutes in. I had 43*765* as I entered the Slot Machine that inexplicably gave me the Galaxian Fever. So that explains a lot.
If the remake had Pac-Man World World 3's Rev-Roll jump some levels would be possible to not get score
Ghostly Garden Castle ending is a good example for it to be useful if it was in the game
while carrying rev roll momentum into jumps is fun, it works a lot better in world 3's more open level design compared to the more closed off linear design of world 1's. i could see it fitting well in a remake of world 2 though!
@@ahbeef Yeah I would agree but it would have helped you on the Ending part of Ghostly Garden which will -800 points from the lemon door
I personally think that some Rev Roll momentum should have even partially carried over into jumps, at least to make it able to compete with Butt Bouncing in the actual levels with their platformer involvement.
the roll does carry a tiny amount of momentum into jumps but its pretty minimal
