    I wish there was just a gamemode where you just survive, no defeating enemies, just a shield, and the enemies get faster and stronger.

    What if I just camp at the box at spawn that we saw for 300 seconds and go afk?

      I think a good way to counteract this is that the player can only accumulate points over time directly to the distance that they have traveled.
      I'll list a couple scenarios to try to explain. For each scenario, the required score is 300.
      Scenario 1: The player moves 100 units to the right. They defeat 0 enemies. Then they AFK for an hour, starting at 0 points. They have 100 points after 1 minute 40 seconds, and then their score would stop increasing.
      Scenario 2: The player moves 350 units, by which time they accumulated 75 points. They then move back to 200 units, and AFK, starting with 100 points. After 4 minutes and 10 seconds, they have 350 points, and are qualified to move on. (This demonstrates that the timed score limit is based on the maximum distance that round).
      Scenario 3: They move 250 units, killing 1 unit along the way worth 50 points, and that entire thing took 30 seconds. They start to AFK then, at 80 points. After 2 minutes and 50 seconds, they have 300 points. The overall cap is not based on distance, just the cap for how much gained over time.
      Not sure if this is a good idea or not, but figured I'd throw it out there

      Well, yes, you can do that, but then no items.
      And If there's boss fights, you miiiiight wanna try to get items.

    Idea: a dungeon with an enemy that copies your movements but gets disabled for a few seconds if you get it to dash into a wall. Upon death, it has a chance to drop a mini turret that flies around you, shooting enemies and bullets but has low hp.

    Will we be able to test out a demo for this? Also it would be cool if you lose points when you get hit so that going after an enemy is a risk reward situation

      Or at least put a Health bar, once you die, you restart the level, and you have lives so that once you die for a certain amount of times you restart the game

    I actually have ideas for the things in the shop like:
    Items
    Coffee (Makes your movements faster)
    Shield (generates a shield to protect you from the projectiles)
    Invisible Bomb (while activated, makes you invisible for a few seconds making enemies can't detect you)
    Timekeeper's Clock (makes everything slow except yourself)
    Abilities
    Double Jump (if you jump, you can jump again while being in the air)
    Shrink (making your hitbox smaller so projectiles don't hit you easily)
    Grow (being able to slam smaller enemies)
    Super Dash (being able to dash twice at a time)
    Upgrades
    Extra HP (if you die, you will respawn at the beginning and dying will reset your points)
    Bouncy Jumps (making your jumps a bit higher)
    Deathly Aura (making enemies that is close to you a bit weak)
    Weapons
    Targeter (acts just like turrets bullets)
    Bouncy Bullets (if the bullet hits anything it will bounce away)
    This will take hundreds of codes.... (pls like to make this popular :p )

    How will you stop players from optimising the fun out of your game? My first thought was that if I just sit semi idle next to the door and wait out the timer I could get to the next level with much less effort than if I were to take risks. I suggest that having a key spawn at a random location within 300 meters( or any distance which isn’t close but also not far from the exit) could force players to move and explore but still allow players to take fewer risks if they so want

    So for shop items you should add a… MUG filled with coffee and it will make your shield replenish faster!

    Please look at my suggestions
    Abilities
    1: phase ability
    Acts like a dash but you dash through enemies
    2: the glass wall ability
    Allows you to make a shield that breaks after 5 hits and you can stand on it
    Obstacles
    1: a time trap 🪤 this will be like a mine but instead if you step on it it will freeze you for 3 seconds
    2: a bounce pad this will launch you up in the sky and will unalive any enemy that you stomp on
    Enemies
    1: a block mimic it will look like a certain block and will act like one until you get close to it the will spring up high and will shoot bullets
    2: a enemy which will look small when you approach it it will grow in size and doing so attacks the player stays in one spot by the way

    Eh idk about that returning to spawn rule if you’re planning on making this for the public. essentially what you’re doing is making every level super easy mode just by staying at spawn and actually punishing players who want to explore more of your game world

    Idea: add power ups such as invincibility or invisibility which make enemies not attack you until the invisibility wares off.

    So like, in the dungeons, make like a spawner that spawn enemies with guns like white guns that shoot bullets in straight lines, green guns that are explosive and red guns that are burst fire. Upon killing enemies a gun gets dropped and you can then use that to fight your way through the dungeons to get loot like blocks to build with, weapons etc. The guns do not damage turrets but maybe add a weapon that hacks in to turrets and then you can use the hacked turret to eliminate other turrets. (Note: Turret Hacking has cooldown of 3 min so that spamming does not take place)

    Idea: Why not make a laser that fires like normal, but when it reaches the edge of the screen, it zooms out towards you? But make it have a timer, like its slowly getting short until it vanish, then it won't zoom out

    I suggest adding textures and animating everything a little(make the green ball blink and look at the direction its moving along with it getting stretched a little in the side it is falling,jumping or moving a little , give everything slight shadowing)

    Potential shop item: Bounce shield, reflects bullets back at enemies, damaging them, and landing on the shield when falling bounces you back up, the higher the drop, the bigger the bounce.

    Idea:Make SOMETHING related to Bamboo. It could be a spear like weapon, a biome, boss, ally, ANYTHING, as long as it's somewhat relevant and bamboo.

    I want a stat and accessories system. After every ten or five rounds you get accessories/gauntlets. These gauntlets increase speed, health and damage or attack speed. Catacombs could be made and after round 15 you can access them, they have different rooms with many enemies and bosses for a big reward and can give you items or stat crystals. You can sell the crystals for money or make them viable in a stat tree or something similar.

    I think the point value needs to ramp up quickly to prevent people from just waiting for the points in cover, either that, or make some countermeasure to camping, like an enemy that only spawns in when you move around too slowly

    Idea: enemy that just lies in the way that takes points if you touch it, you have to hit it with a tracking bullet to beat it.
    Edit: it should probably only spawn in the flat biome to make it easier to hit with the tracking bullet

    I have an idea: add a bullet that disguises as a nother bullet but it does the wrong thing so like a white bullet but it acts like a red one. It does damage if you block so dont block it. Its a turret but its invisable it dies after not blockin 1 to 10 bullets the higher the level the more bullets needed. When defeadet gives 1 to 50 points depending on how many points you have its a rare enemy.

    Also, add a way to encourage people to go exploring other than getting better stuff, for example, make the money for the shop you're developing only obtainable through exploring around
    Also to give more challenge and fun, make it so that when you leave the spawn to explore, make it so that the previous obstacles and enemies you defeat or walk past will then respawn again and even change into a totally new one
    Also im thinking if you could also add enemy units that will spawn and chase you back to your spawn when you complete the challenge so that you could do a some sort of last stand and they could even act as some sort of notification when you complete the map by spawning in front of you and then chase you around

    2 unit ideas: Self destruct
    A bomber which will walk on the ground trying to come into contact with you. If it does it will latch on to you and explode itself after a few seconds one shotting you. If you avoid it for long enough it will explode itself therefore disappearing and you survive. Also unblockable.
    Unit 2: Artillery.
    It will be stationary launching artillery shell which if hitting you directly dealing lots of damage. If it hits your shield, walls, the floor etc than it will explode launching 6-8 shrapnel pieces one in each direction. They will be fast moving and small but will deal little damage.

    If I may-
    I've always found the teleporters from games like Risk of Rain 2 to be really fun and interesting. Here's this zone you have to stay inside of to charge, and if you survive long enough you'll be able to move on.

    Suggestion:
    For a boss you can make it look like a cannon but as a mech and it’s move set could be.
    Bullets raining from the sky
    A high power laser on both hands
    Stomp that will know the player back
    And a punch
    Maybe when you defeat it, it turns into a bunch of mini versions and I’m thinking it’s spawns every 10 minutes and you get a great reward

    About the art style, i think you should keep it like this, being funny and simple. Make the player's face change expressions with they interact with something for example, when they got hit, you change it's face to frown for a second then back. Or when putting up shields, the player's face just turns to that direction.

    Idea: If you go on top of a turret and hold your shield out, it will give you a small boost but still farther than walking, when the turret shoots in the direction your pointing at with the shield it boosts you! making a cool boost feature!

    Idea: I think you should add different melee weapons like axe,dagger,katana etc.I also think you should add a durability bar for the weapons,also a repairing table or something which you can use to repair your weapons.Day time, night time etc also different weathers like rain thunder etc.Also you can make it so that the thunder can summon thunder strikes whih hit u and deal 10 damage or 5 damage,also you can add seasons like winter,summer etc.These seasons gives buffs or debuffs like maybe in winter ur sword has an ability which freezes enemys but the debuff in winter is that the sword has a 1 min cooldown or 30 sec cooldown and in the summer your sword can light enemys on fire but your sword will be damaged each time you light the sword on fire.The enemys should also have a chance where thy drop different potions like regen potions,strength potions etc and some enemys drop potions which you can throw at the enemys to make them blind so they cant see you for 5 secs and a weakness potion which makes the enemy very weak for 5 secs.You should also add enemys which drop bombs and when the bomb blows up it shoots a cluster of bullets at you.Also a multiplayer mode,a story line or something like that.I recommend that you should not make it a points based game which makes it so that you have to get a certain amount of points(i recommend to remove it).Instead you should add a story and when you defeat the boss at the end, you get to play free play.But i would recommend adding guns and adding pvp mode in which you can use guns and shields so that you can get many points by killing people .Also a donation box where they can donate to you to help you do stuff (extra idea).Last idea i have is that you should buff enemys during the night timr and add houses and villages where you can buy stuff like potions and sleep there for the night so that you dont have to fight the enemys when they are buffed(they are buffed during the night and),the village should be a safe zone aswell.

    Have you thought of giving it an "Upgrade The Game" aspect with your shop? If you don't know the genre, I suggest looking it up and playing a few yourself! They're pretty fun!

    Idea: on the last level, add a boss. You spawn in the boss room and fight him. If you defeat him, he drops the golden pick to leave the room but if you stay and go left for exactly 111 seconds you enter a secret arena and fight a re-enhanced version of the boss

    Idea: You can "graze" enemy attacks to fill up a bar and press a button to slow down time and use said bar.

    Idea for an Item: Quinzel's Mask, it makes you gain points a lot faster, have aan extra hit point and find much better loot, but you need a much larger ammount of points to leave, and enemies are quite a bit more common.

    Should include incentive to complete as fast as possible. Having open ended gameplay like this lends itself to self imposed goals like speed running, high scores, or collectibles so playing into that helps keep players engaged.
    Otherwise I can see ppl simply sitting and waiting or playing too conservatively bc going further out might be too risky for not much reward (if i can beat it by staying near the exit then why would I leave?)

    Idea: add a mode where there's a barrier coming from 0,0 and it constantly move toward the player, when it touches you, you die, but u still have to get to a certain number of points to win

    That sounds like an amazing *idea*, but you have to make sure to make venturing out far is worth it, so you get almost no points in the starting areas. Otherwise camping will be objectively better, which is boring.

    An interesting concept. I wonder how speedrunners will solve the issue of stay close but get low points to reach the door quicker, or venture out for bigger points but have to travel longer to return to the door.

    Idea: make the player start at a town and enter through a portal or something, when the player returns to 0 0 and leaves they go back to the town where they can recruit body guards, buy potions or get quests

    black bullet makes a cage around the player for 5 sec put the Shield does not block it. it goes around the Shield so it makes a circle around you

    u should add a mosquito enemy that is very annoying and flies around shooting a black projectile but it has a gimmick where it damages u and gives a poison effect that damaged you every second for like 5% of your health (would it be op if it stacked if not u dont have to add it) and every time you got hit by poison dmg it heals the mosquito a little bit
    and also you should add enemy health bars (or at least boss health bars)

    Suggestion: You should change the turret thingy to a can launcher and make the bullets can and when it hit you it slows you down for 10 seconds and add a splashing effect when it lands and make it reload every 3.5 seconds please thank you very much

    I’m pretty sure the big orange cube is ani-jello, not the same move set but still a large orange mini boss looking enemy with a spread attack…

    I think it would be better to leave automatically when you have enough points, because if you walk a lot for better items, the walk back could be tedious, and because defeating enemies gives you points by leaving as soon as you have enough points you could either keep them alive to go for better loot, having more difficulty if you want to farm it, or collect the points from them to leave early when you want to go to the next level
