Casually spreading misinformation lol. Don't just randomly say stuff like that when you don't even know if it's true. Danny Masterson (the monster pretending to be a person in question) wasn't Emily's best friend. He was just a friend. And Danny Masterson was a celebrity. Some people act like she was his only friend lol. He had plenty of friends in the industry. She went to his first court hearing before any evidence was presented, and as soon as the evidence was presented, she never talked to him again. (That she claims, and we have no proof of the opposite)
While I get what you mean, I was just filling him in on what I have heard people say at work is all. I'm glad there is more information out there we just haven't had time to look further into it. The whole point of stuff being out there is for responses from people like yourself who have looked further to fill us all in which is why I'll pin this comment. See We are not immature we are direct, straight forward, and will always be who we are.
@TheSuperDoctor YOU are 100% correct, this people's just open the mouth because they have a mouth, don't investigate anything, irresponsible spreading lies.
@@TheWholeAzzShow I understand that you don't care about Emily and this new Linkin Park enough to do research (you said as much in the reaction). And I don't think that you have to do research on every person and song/band you react to, but if that's your approach at least don't say stuff that could potentially be really damaging. If you wanted to fill your friend in, you could've just said "I've heard that there are some controversies around the singer, especially related to this particular person", now you've technically not said anything wrong or misinformed and someone can still fill you in, in the comments. Some people don't read the comment section you know, someone will just take what you said in the video at face value. I mean your channel is not that big (and I seriously don't mean this as an insult, just stating) for that kind of statement to realistically do any damage to Emily's image or something, but you should still have some level of responsibility and not rely on people correcting you and/or informing you in the comments. And please, don't say that you didn't have time to look further into it. Your friend straight up said during the reaction that he just didn't care about doing research about Emily. You claim to be straight forward, so be that, and say "We are not invested nearly enough in this person and this new iteration of the band to look deeper into behind the scenes." I mean I'll be honest and I'll say that I'd still have issues with that for a different reason but at least this time, you'd be honest and as straight forward as you claim to be.
For sure we do realize that, This is our take in which I'm pretty sure we both back tracked on some stuff we said. Also please remember this is our opinion, we are both huge Linkin Park fans which is why we will continue to listen.
it's a new chapter. Chester was the last to join the band and they don't deserve to have to lose everything. Emily's voice is incredible and I, for one, am excited to see how they continue to grow. Have loved all 3 singles as much or more than a lot of what Linkin Park has done in 10-15 years
Both of you need to watch the Zane Lowe interview with the band after watching this. And the rest of the founding members are still there which are Mike Shinoda, Joe Hahn, Brad Delson (still with the band but stopped performing on tour) and Dave Farrell. The former drummer Rob literally distanced himself from the band after Chester's passing so he's not coming back.
That's pretty crappy cause they were and are a total great display of a great sounding band. But we know no one knows whats going on inside behind closed doors. Thank you for being here.
You're not too harsh guys, you are just being you, that's fine. Honest reactions are always appreciated. Just like Emily is trying to be her while sounding like LP. This is not a replacement for Chester, he is unique, but Emily is unique too on her own way so this is a new chapter. When you try to pin Emily to trying to sound like Chester, you might listen to what Mike, Joe, Brad, Dave have to say. She sound like LP. also, Lizzy sounds similar but too heavy too metal, not really LP sound but then, it all boils down to personal preference especially for people stuck with Chester, he was not LP, This is LP
Thank you for watching, and understanding what we were saying. Some don't seem to grasp what we said. We don't mean to make it sound like we are pinning it on her trying to sound like Chester yet the first song to our ears that is what we here. We are totally up for them continuing.
“Linkin Park isn’t Linkin Park without Chester” Yes it is. That’s like saying it’s not Avenged Sevenfold without The Rev. I get why you would say that given your attachment to them, but it is still Linkin Park, just a different version.
She's not trying to be Chester, she's trying to be the lead singer for Linkin Park. It's hard to separate but thats my take I think shes great. if you watch the live show when shes introduced seeing how much mike smiles at doing this music.. its different but hey everyone has a different take and thats cool too.
@@TheWholeAzzShow for your age, you aren't very mature, are you? I mean completely fair if you dislike the song. Everyone is allowed to feel however they want about it, but going into something, already pretty much decided on how you'l lfeel about the said thing is just... like why?
@TheSuperDoctor we are quite mature your are entitled to a opinion as we are. We did not say we disliked the song. We did not go into it pre set that we didn't like the song. Sometime people confuse maturity/immaturity with being straight forward and direct. Most of the time people should watch the whole video and try to understand what someone says and relate to how they feel rather than make a statement about how someone else's feeling don't align with theirs. The response was not a sarcastic remark to @LeeB41 it was just a answer.
@@TheWholeAzzShow I'll be fair to you and I actually watched your reaction for a second time (not even sure why), and say that yea, you didn't come across as already decided that you'd not like the song that much. You only came across as expecting you wouldn't like it - and I mean that is technically fair. We all usually have expectations going into something, and sometimes those expectations are negative. And from the video alone, I don't think you're immature, the only thing I considered immature was your response to LeeB41 because I thought it was deliberately snarky and sarcastic, but if you claim that's not the case, alright. There is still one thing that irks me about your reaction though. The guy on the right (sorry, I don't know his name, first time on the channel and I probably overheard it, if it was said during the video), repeatedly said that he wants to hate, and trash the song but can't because it's not bad. And while I don't recall you saying the exact same thing, you seemed to agree with the motion. Okay, so that's cool but... why? You didn't come into the song already decided that you wouldn't like it, but you for sure came into the song, hoping and wishing that it would be trash so that you could freely shit on it, and it honestly seemed to really bother the guy on the right that he couldn't. But at least he was mature enough to admit his feelings, still those feelings I consider to be very strange to say the least. I'm not saying you have to immediately embrace and like the new chapter of Linkin Park but again, this feels like a very strange way to go about it, and it almost feels like you two were more fans of Chester Bennington than fans of Linkin Park. Chester in his own right is irreplaceable but Linkin Park can exist (and actually already exists as we can see) without him and still remain Linkin Park, even if you don't agree with it. People like you claim to be fans of Linkin Park, yet you have so little trust in its original band members that you just hope that their new music with the new singer is trash so that you could feel justified hating on it. So little trust in the original members that when they all mutually agree that Emily (and Colin as the new drummer) is their perfect pick as the new singer, you will question that decision at every chance you get. And yes Rob is no longer a part of that original band members list, but he already distanced himself from the band pretty soon after Chester's death. Mike, Brad and Rob founded the band. And Mike knew what he was doing when he picked Emily as the singer. This is technically subjective as I think there was simply no better option, I think Emily's perfect for the role and does justice to Linkin Park's songs both old and new. I say this is "technically" subjective because in the end, this is what Mike decided, and I firmly believe nobody knows what's best for the band better than Mike. Some people hate Emily for singing the old songs, saying that she's destroying Chester's legacy, that she's singing Chester's songs and Chester's words. No, Mike wrote, and produced most of the songs, Chester gave them voice. Chester is gone and can no longer give them that voice, and so Emily is going to carry that legacy. If Mike has no issue with Emily singing his words, I don't see an issue either. And I know you didn't talk about this point in the video, I mean you only reacted to The Emptiness Machine and not to Emily singing the old stuff, but considered how much I think you went into this reaction closeminded, I think your reaction to her singing the old stuff would be that much harsher and I bet it would align with that I've pointed out here. So taking all that into consideration... Were you ever really Linkin Park fans, or just Chester Bennington fans? Make no mistake, there's nothing wrong with being fans of just Chester, but at the very least admit that to yourself and to your viewers so that we're all on the same page. Or maybe you truly are Linkin Park fans, I mean I'm not here to gatekeep who can and who can't consider themselves one, but if you do, then I'm only all the more baffled about your entire thought processes. If you were just Chester fans, it would honestly at least make more sense. You also said in another reply to someone else that you back tracked on some of the things you said in this video, I don't know if you're planning to do a reaction to Heavy Is The Crown (the next LP single they released) but it would nice to hear you talk about that. Despite all of this, I'd still watch that reaction because I want to have an open mind about how you'll see things as you go on further.
We do know that, as it is quite clear you make false assumptions that we are just a fan of Chester but not the band. We clearly stated our opinions did not say we disliked the song.
i had to look up babic and hale. there's definitely some point there. from my brief observation babic seems to have more power but definitely more 'texture'. armstrong seems to be 'carbon copy' of chester with the female flavor. that might imply she's a replacement despite the protest of that label. but it definitely points to talent to be able to emulate i still feel grateful they're back. i wont be greedy. i think shinoda & gang has the right to dictate band's direction. i think it'd be selfish for anyone else to stand in their way for the feelings of someone who's no longer around to feel. besides, would chester really want his band to just fade out into oblivion? especially since chester stating LP is bigger than any of them alone. for real i thought it was over when chester passed. i had given up hope. what mike did actually allowed fans like me to return enjoying them in a slightly different flavor but not so meaningfully distinct it would be mistaken as a different band. wise move, mr. shinoda! meanwhile i dont think a return would feel the same with 'a spot left empty'. even if emily is a replacement i think she still offers something distinct enough with her female voice. to me it feels like having a female counterpart to those marvel/dc superheroes. or a multiverse alternate. if anything i feel emily sounding similar to chester is paying tribute to him. after all do we accuse cover singers for trying to replace original vocalists? hasnt it always been interesting to hear a contralto to a male-sang song or a countertenor to a female-sang music? this way the memory of chester survives vicariously through emily. and who knows maybe she will get better, if she wasn't already good. i think she's definitely qualified. i think you folks are just still numbed by the nostalgia. give it some go. i know it didn't hit me at first go either. but by the 3 or 5th time i was hooked. plus GYAT DAYM! have you heard Heavy is the Crown? the queen can definitely scream 😱😱😱😱😱im excited for this new era of LP!
Hey guys, i dont want to sound to harsh on the chester bennington topic, but for you to know about his live cester had a horrible childhood, was rapped by his parent, so you can go check in some reports or stories about his life, the band had to deal a lot with hisdark side mood he had , then all the album like pop version came out and they got a lot of hate of the fans, chester felt a lot of the hate and that was not goid for him, he decided then to take his lifr, after the death of Chris cornell
