Hi +ShannonVia. Yes, the Soyabella will make 2 quarts. I run the almonds through a second time and get a second quart from the same batch. I use my soyabella every week. No boxes, no preservatives, no cruelty!
Thanks so much for a simple Almond Milk video. I've got the Soyabella and haven't used it much but it's going to be getting a lot more use now. I know this video is several years old but it's perfect.
Thanks for making this video. We just bought a Soyabella and our first batch of milk was a bit watery. After watching this video, I see wear we made a few mistakes. We did not remove the outer skin of the nut which did not seem to impact the color of the milk. We definitely put too many almonds in the cup holder. Instead of putting a cup of almonds using the measuring cup that came with the machine, we used a measuring cup. Big difference and we used a lot of almonds we did not have to use. The machine seemed to struggle a little bit. I also like what you said about putting the pulp into a dehydrator to make almond flower. I used our left over pulp in our morning smoothie. Thank you
Glad you found it useful James. My friend runs almonds through twice for a thicker milk and a lighter one the second time around. The pulp freezes well. Enjoy and thanks for your comment.
I recently started making all of my own homemade bean, nut & grain milks and am loving it! It's so healthy & economical. I just ordered my first soymilk maker, a Soyabella, and I can't wait for it to get here. So excited!
There's nothing quite like experiencing the Soyabella for yourself. A friend of mine put way too many almonds in and felt it was difficult. For me, I have never had a problem with the soyabella. Super easy and worth the money in my opinion. It's guaranteed, so I would suggest trying it for yourself. #soyabella
Yah, no boxes to recycle either. I think you'll love your Soyabella Suzie. It's great to hear how other people end up using it, so please let us know. My friend makes soup with hers, you can grind flax seeds & nuts too. Enjoy!
Hi just saw the Soyabella in Mother Earth News. So i did a search and your video came up. Thanks for the great video, good information. Oh, and I subscribed to your channel. Thank you!!!
+Diane Baboi Thanks Diane. I think you'll love the soyabella! I do a combination of plant-based diet and speaking videos on my channel. Enjoy and thanks for subscribing...
Hi! In regard to your question & comment, 'how do you wash it, it doesn't look safe' Are you talking about the oats or the machine itself? Thanks for reaching out.
Thank you so much! I just got the soyabella and the nuts are soaking right now. I mixed almond and hemp, though. We shall see about peeling them, though! :)
When I'm in a hurry I don't peel them either - works just fine. I've gotten into the habit of dehydrating the almond pulp for almond flour so the blanched almonds are better for that. One day I decided to focus on what I was grateful for in each of my friends as I peeled the almonds. It turned out to be a beautiful meditation, affected the rest of my day and I imagine the little almonds soaked up the love too : )
Pamela Ziemann Could I turn the pulp into almond butter? How do you dehydrate it to turn it into flour? Lay it out to dry? Thanks for filming this, I just used your video to make my first batch of almond milk with my soyabella!
Hello, 8 months ago, this video inspired me to buy Soyabella and I think it was a great decision. Do you have any idea what to do with the almonds remained inside the filter part at the end of the process? Have you tried to dry it and make almond flour? Thank you!
Hello, Pamella! Until today have you had any problems with the Soyabella or has it worked well since you have it? And, Which would be the most important advices to take care of this machine? Thanks!
Hi Pamela thank you for a great video. If the water that almonds were soaked in was the natural preservative, why didn't you put in in soyabella and mix it with regular water so you can keep the milk in the refrigerator a little longer?
Good question Fay, The enzyme inhibitors put a strain on the digestive system. Also, the soaking water contains toxins. Making smoothies and using the almond milk with granola, I go through a quart in 3-4 days. Luckily the soyabella is easy to use for frequent batches.
+hanounours I make oat milk with my soyabella. I soak oat flakes in water over night - and use both the flakes as the water.... Wahing: Just wash it with care - so the electric parts do not get in touch with water... very easy.
It's a little tricky to find raw almonds. I find them at my local organic farm stand. For online go to www.WildernessPoets.com. Here's what they say about their almonds. 'Our Almonds are 100% Organic, Unpasteurized Raw Almonds grown in Italy. They are delicious, sproutable, sweet Almonds of the highest quality.' I've done business with this company for many years and happy with their quality and service.
I thought I knew a little more about this -- so here goes: Do the almonds you get look like almonds that we normally see, or do they have an extra shell/husk on them? I thought that almonds that sprout needed the extra husk.
tkarlmann Hi, yah... there always seems to be more to learn. The almonds from Wilderness Poets are raw and have the shell/husk on them. Not sure about the 'extra husk' I soaked the ones in this video overnight and took the shell off. Many people in my classes say it's too much work. As a side note, you can make the almond milk in the soyabella without taking the husk off. (I still soak them) That works fine too. Now I actually find it's a meditative process to take the shells off. Who would have guessed?
On watching some other vids, I learned that (for those of us who cannot afford a Soyabella), you can get the same effect by soaking the almonds, then using a Blender, followed by (here is the key) running the mixture through a Juicer! This supposedly has the same effect as the messy operation of straining through a nut bag, fabric or other. Enjoy!
tkarlmann Sure, that will work too. I'm a minimalist so definitely understand not wanting to get too many appliances going. Not sorry I have the soyabella though. I use it weekly. Did you order some almonds through Wilderness Poets?
Hi Ophelie, The blender I recommend is the Blendtec Designer model. Go to this link: www.blendtec.com/shop There are some refurbished models toward the bottom of the page that are a good deal too. It's an investment, but I use mine everyday and love the sleek design. The rock you asked about is a Citrine. Thanks for noticing. My friend gave me the crystal, I thought it was way too beautiful to keep inside. Made a ring out of it and enjoy watching it sparkle in the sunlight. Feel free to email me at z@pamelaziemann.com if you have any other questions about blenders or other equipment.
+Raquel Sosa I add a small handful. My friend loaded the entire metal cup and it was way too much. Even with a small handful, I run them through with 2 separate quarts of water for 2 batches.
+Alan Zimmer Tribest (the manufacturer or the Soyabella) claims you can make rice milk with it. Personally I haven't tried that yet. Good luck, I'd love to hear how it turns out if you try it. It will be on my list of experiments!
+Markchill2 I have a feeling it won't make coffee. I'm not a coffee drinker so haven't tried it. You could always write to the company and see if anyone else has done it.

Good timing, I’m just getting my soyabella out after being on the road for a couple years. May try adding a little vanilla. Enjoy!

Yes! I just tried adding dates to the soyabella when I made oat milk and it worked just fine.

I would believe she means the machine.....

How sweet. I would like one.
Hi E J, Definitely worth the money. I use mine every week. No more boxes or preservatives. Gotta love it!
Hello, Pamella! Until today have you had any problems with the Soyabella or has it worked well since you have it? And, Which would be the most important advices to take care of this machine? Thanks!
I don't have the soyabella but I have the soyajoy. I can't wait to start making my own vegan milks.
Yah, me too! My soyabella has been in storage while I've been on the road. Bringing it out again soon : )
Does this one make the milk smooth or is it still a little grainy? Also is it possible to use orange juice pulp to get more juice out of it?
The almond milk is smooth. Not sure about orange juice, haven't tried that.
Does it keep the almond milk raw (does not heat it up - soymilk does have to be cooked so I was not sure if the soyabella has a "cold" setting)
Yes, all 'milks' are raw. The soyabella can also make soy milk which needs to be heated.

Will this make 2 quarts? I have a large family and I want to get my children off commercial diary.
yes, it makes 2 quarts. I make 2 quarts from one batch of almonds
Hi! How tio you make oat milk?
And how do you wash it?
It doesn't look safe to me. Thanks.

I make oat milk with my soyabella.

Please share where you are getting almonds that sprout like that!!!!!!!!

Hi! Which filter did you use (fine or coarse)?
fine
@@PamelaZiemann My Soyabella has buttons "hot" and "raw." Which do you recommend for almond milk?
@@rachelbraitman7468 raw for sure. Hot is only for soy milk
@@PamelaZiemann Thank you so much!!
Can you put soft fruit in it... blueberries?
+megan rosalez good idea... I haven't tried it, but like they taught us in culinary school... try it, see what happens!
Can the Soyabella be used to make Rice Milk?

Ok I will. Luv ur videos. I'm nominating you for an oscar .... TY
Alan Zimmer Wow, I'll mention my gratitude to you in my oscar acceptance speech : )
The rice milk came out great. It was so thick I needed to add filtered water which made 1/2 gallon of milk.
Alan Zimmer awesome... 1/2 gallon! Did you use brown rice? How was the taste?
👍✳️👍✳️👍✳️
this could be stupid can you make coffee with it
+Markchill2 I have a feeling it won't make coffee. I'm not a coffee drinker so haven't tried it. You could always write to the company and see if anyone else has done it.
Pamela Ziemann when i say make coffee with it i mean the milk not the soyabella
+Markchill2 Sure you can! :)
Mi cella and it would not tast funny thank you
