Vinnie nailed the part about listening to records, giving them the time they deserved, chatting with your mates about it, the excitement of going to buy it from the store ect. Miss those days

Some great advice in this video. Steve Vai has a great philosophy and I have much respect for him and hope that maybe one day I can only meet him in person.

Vinnie is happy Steve was around for that music reading story because Steve has been repeating it for decades now.
Took the words outta my mouth- that sushi story is great, but way over-hyped....vinnie said in an interview many years later that he had already gone over the music- so he wasnt really sight-reading on the 1st try.
