Here is everything that went down after my accident in Bali. What a journey the year after was. Not only the accident, but a lot of things in between that piled up on me all at once, Chronic fatigue, hair loss, unworthiness, falling behind on goals and this video is a resemblance of all those things. Hope you have been enjoying my journey through life so far. I'll be taking a big break to work on my filmmaking course, as that's my number 1 priority, and also working on myself (: not sure when I'll be back but I'll be uploading again one day in the future. Thank you to everyone that has followed my story so far
Bro you are still lucky...hope you get well soon🙏 i am just broke my legg, hit by a motorbike...its happened on may and now i am on recovery, they put metal on my legg, keep safe and healthy brother🙏
Man, thank you so much for your openness to share such vulnerable state you went through. It must've been so hard to go from a fully able state to being so limited. I'm so glad to see that you've recovered and your journey is truly inspiring on so many different levels for anyone who goes through challenges. This story is the definition of what doesn't kill us makes us stronger! POWER TO YOU!
You’re the BEST storyteller I’ve ever known! ❤ And I follow so many filmmakers! Documenting your vulnerability and sending such a strong message is so inspiring to many people. You pushed through the bad times to document it and make this video happen, that says a lot! 🙏🏼 I was in hospitals for 6 months and I could barely keep up with my RUclips videos. Sending you loads of love and healing vibes all the way from London to Australia. Moving to Bali next month, I’ve been always terrified of bikes… So let’s see how I move around there. 😅 Big love!
I actually cried while watching your story. You documented it so well. I've been through the exact same thing. I had a scooter accident in 2018, during which I completely shattered my left arm (and I'm also left-handed). I couldn't do anything by myself, and I was living alone. I had two surgeries and almost two years of recovery. I just wanted to let you know that I completely understand what you've been through. You are strong, and you got this. Everything will be fine in the end! Stay strong! Sending you some love. X
"Healing requires from us to stop struggling, but to enjoy life more and endure it less." - Darina Stoyanova. Enjoy life Benn. Despite all its pain and struggles, life is full of purpose and BEAUTY. The scene with the butterflies was the best part of this entire story. Well done.
I crashed my scooter in Bali, with my wife on the back. I'm a fully licenced rider (hot tip for anyone travelling if you want to be covered by insurance) but we hit oil and slid out on a corner with a bike with crappy tires. The locals were amazing, like you experienced. And like you I was lucky it wasn't much worse. Keep sharing your art my friend, you are talented and will bounce back from this. Your storytelling is a gift, and the vulnerability you weave into it has the power to impact more people than you think.
Beautifully told. It happened for you and not to you. Years from now, this will all make so much more sense and you will be able to understand the magic in the tragedy. You will have found your why and the meaning in life. Something that so many fail to find. This is the beginning and far from an end. I can’t wait to watch where this takes you’d. ❤
Spectacular filmmaking and storytelling - you are an incredible talent! Showing the highs and lows of your life in such a thoughtful way provides some valuable lessons on both enjoying the best moments life has to offer and changing the way you think about things you can't control. I see my boys struggle with the idea of hair loss. The best decision I ever made was to shave my head at 23 and never think about it again. As you say there are more important things to worry about. Wishing you a full and speedy recovery.
Oh, man! The plot twist, the butterflies, the attitude change and the lesson to be learned. You´re far from done. You just keep getting better and better, evolving on the storytelling also. Loved it!
@@Benn_TK you have done this video being in such critical state brother, big respect to those positive attitude and healthy mindset. Thanks for being my inspiration and mentor for every upcoming filmmakers❤
Back in 2021 I also broke my collarbone in a motorcycle accident. I understand the inner loneliness that your film is trying to convey, but I believe there must be a lot of amazing people taking care of you during your recovery. Thank you for sharing your journey. It reminds me of that time when I almost gave up on myself. BTW🤣 I watched most of your films many times during those months I was recovering, knowing the beautiful world is still out there waiting for me is one of the biggest motivations for me, so again, HUGE HUGE thanks to you Benn!!!
Thank you bro, I had my family helping me a Lot during these times, although was unable to capture it then. Glad to hear you haven't given up on yourself and I hope your going strong. Life isn't easy all the way. Wishing you the best bro (:
I fell off my scooter late lastyear and broke my right little finger. I had surgery the nextday as they needed to put k-wires and was on a splint for 6 weeks. Then after the removal of kwires, I was on hand therapy for atleast 6 sessions. Im right handed so obviously I could resonate to your everyday struggles as it was similar to mine. I was out of work for 2 mos. Then the struggles of doing the routines such as tying shoe laces, cooking, etc.. frustration hit me to the max and my anxiety escalated. It was obviously a hard time and my mental health wasnt in a good state. Thankfully, somehow I was able to pull through. I am better now and my wrist isnt what it used to be but it’s functional. In retrospect it was quite a journey and Amidst everything, Im still thankful- thankful that im alive. Thank you Ben for sharing this and it’s good to know that you are getting better. I see you and I feel you. Cheers!
Strong people are kind and you are kind and strong ,stay strong brother, sara, your brother, the people that helped you are all really good people, take care❤
I wish you all the best on your healing journey and for your new life. This film made me cry. I know how you feel, I’m a photographer and broke my collar bone 9 years ago. It was a long and painful path to recover. But guess what, my life completely changed after that.
I could feel your pain and stress. And despite what you went through you've created not just a video but a timeless reminder for everyone. Thank you Benn 🙏
First of all, I hope you recover(ed), physically and mentally. This must have been hell to give up a few passions for at least a couple of month with the constant feeling of having to become better version in this state, knowing how it was before. I also had a wrist injury and lost mostly everything for half a year -it wrecks you for the period of time but you just gonna come back stronger and not let youself down. I sm glad you found workarounds for many of the daily struggles. And: a big thank you! You got me into videomaking as well as photography. Your first cinematic videos inspired me and even after giving up for a while, thinking I am not good enough, your cinematic vlogs lightened up a spark in me and I currently give it another go. So thank you for all of this. You probably cannot even imagine how many people connect emotions to your content and how many were inspired and felt with you and were worried when the crash happened Thank you for everything and I hope that you are in your overall desired shape again to pursue your dreams as well as to conquer them. Keep on inspiring us!

hi Ben! I had the same scooter accident about 2 months ago and my collar bone was broken too. It was in two pieces. Luckily, I did not have to do surgery. Instead, I need to wear a belt. After 2 months now, it's almost ok. The collar bone will recover very fast. Don't worry so much! It's worse in your case as it is your right hand. Four years ago, I had a similar crash at 40 km/h with a road bike and my right clavicle bone got broken and after 4 month of recovery I went back to training and in 2 weeks a car blocked my road at 50 km/h but this time my left and right clavicle bones were broken again, 😅 Your video reminded me how painful it was yet still on the road, Keep up the good work dude!
Sorry to hear about your accident. Twenty months ago, I got GBS and I still can't walk properly. Spent 3 months in ICU and 6 months in hospital. Now I have prostrate cancer . We all have problems we have to deal with .
Thank you for sharing this, I needed this today as I'm in a similar space with my mind currently. I'm sure many others are too. It's so important that it gets recognised that even in low points (or what we might deem as low points), we find the positives and utilise these times for a better future. On your filmmaking, you have an awesome talent, I have never been captivated by films as well as I have with yours. They are simply amazing.
I might have shed a few tears watching this but thank you. I wish you a very speedy recovery! There were so many things good about this video and there is not one thing I can call out.
I am sure you won't be able to read this - but it is a touching video. I am happy for your gratitude journey. As for the hairloss, there are far worse things. I believe it would be very freeing to just let go of it and shave it off. Either way, you will be stressing about it; but one option seems more liberating than the other. Good luck, Benn!
That was so good!!! The animations, the story telling, the reference to the butterfly and how it re invents itself from a caterpillar 🤯 it sounds like you went through some tough times mate but what doesn’t kill your only makes you stronger. I’m glad your back mate and I’m impressed you can crack an egg 1 handed! Keep inspiring my brother 🙌🏼💥
From now on you INSPIRED me more sir......!!!! Take care..... I will always waiting for this BENN TK ̣ YOU ARE MY ONE THE MOST FAVOURITE VIDEO CREATOR❤
I had a scooter accident earlier this year, broke my right nose, my right cheek, and had a strong concussion. Watching this brought back memories and feelings I felt. It was emotional seeing your journey, because it's so relatable in a way. My nose and right cheek were just bothering, my concussion however, really messed with my mental health and physical being. I didn't know if I was ever going to feel normal again. I am thankful nothing worst happened to me. Thanks for spreading positivity through such a hard time in your life, your positivity impacted me in a personal way and I am sure it will impact other people as well.
i was trying to quit alcohal from past 2 days which was making my life so boring this video did give me some hope i hope i find something New to change my life too
It's amazing to see you putting such a great video together while recovering from that. I had one of my worst motorbike accidents on Bali as well but not as bad as this one. Hope that it's alright again and looking forward to seeing more videos from you soon again after your course is finished.
awsome, thank you for this, had an accident yesterday, i crash into a car while i was cycling my way to the streetpark, nothing broken like you did but this was so helpfull to put things into perspective. Thank again & love the great content you produce, not just beautiful shots and graphics but also a story to relate to. Peace
I have only just found your channel and I started by watching the video in Bali; therefore, I'm relieved to know you're alive and on the mend. I can't imagine what you've been through for the past year, but know that you're an inspiration. I wish you the best of luck with your course (you're super talented) and I look forward to seeing more of your videos in the future.
Thank you for sharing this. The ending words of the road might be bad and twisted but in the end the only choice we have it to follow it, learn from if and be kind to ourselves resonated so very much.

We always with you buddy ❤ stay strong
I loved it! ❤
And I relate, after my ACL surgery I'm going through a similar experience.
Thank you for this video! 😊
That was so good!!! The animations, the story telling, the reference to the butterfly and how it re invents itself from a caterpillar 🤯 it sounds like you went through some tough times mate but what doesn’t kill your only makes you stronger. Your content is so different but top shelf.hope ur on the mend both physically n mentally.
The way that you shared this story with us is so much respect-worthy. Thank you and always waiting to see more of your works.!

Love you man!! Waiting for your masterclass 🫣
Thank you for sharing this. The ending words of the road might be bad and twisted but in the end the only choice we have it to follow it, learn from if and be kind to ourselves resonated so very much.
